5:20 Just to let you know, you only need to push the off switch a bit. The cruise control will switch off. Just saves you having to switch the switch fully off then fully on. Great video BTW!

Olá. Don't you hate it when watching certain videos or when reading through adverts or articles that don't quite show all the useful features in a cars interior? Although it would increase the chances for the car to be sold, these features seem to be left out of demonstrations regularly. Fortunately for you, I've put together this very informative video which highlights a few of the extras that I've come to enjoy in this car. Little things taken for granted and by adding them together, I've come to realise how practical this version was. Skoda is still seen as a not so reliable manufacturer but, it all comes down to you perspective. Here in the UK, these cars are used by the traffic police forces and by medical emergency response teams. Surely that must be a reassuring factor?! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video and please bare in mind that this is my first one.
Please like and or share. Hope you all take care and a happy new year to you...

How much did you get in the end?

anthony kun Only £3900. Wanted more but just taught me the lesson of realising what I really need for the next few years and investing on this future vehicle instead of getting one for the moment kinda thing. Bought 3 1/2 years ago for £7000 spent nearly £2000 in repairs and upgrades and sold for that low. A lesson I wont forget for a long time...

I know. They depreciate quite badly, where as Volkswagen hold there price really well. Strange seeing as they are a golf underneath. Must be badge snobbery!
I only paid £2700 for mine, but with a misfire that I sorted with new injector seals.
      What are you getting next?

General paranoia and ignorance, I believe. Maybe if the Audi VW group would let their customer's know that Skoda is part of the family, it would make them more valuable. With these cars being used vastly for the police force, medical and health organizations and not to mention taxi drivers, you'd think they've proved their worthiness.
Next vehicle I buy it'll be a Vito 115 lwb or a Sprinter post 2006. I've gotten back into my cycling and also after realising that 1/3 of my income is poured onto house bills (mainly because of the ineffectiveness of procedures and desired profit margins from these companies), I've now decided to up and go like, live on wheels (like Roma caravan + big enough van) and be more self sufficient . Today's technology allows us to live of Solar or wind power and with water being a natural resource, it makes it even easier. If I can cut down a 1/2 of my working hours through that and not buying unnecessary luxuries that I don't need, that's a big plus, I rather spend it taking care or home schooling my kids (making sure they learn the right stuff to guarantee a more beneficial outcome for all of us. That's my priority now... Hope I haven't bored you with all this but, I rather fully instead of half explaining something. Have you just bought yours, what made you chose the octavia?

My advice is: If buying a diesel one, buy one with the DPF removed - they are kill joys specially of the line - Try and find out if the flywheel has been replaced if so, then how long ago. They last around 90 000 to 110 000. Its not an issue on this model only but I believe its an issue with most sport cars with dual mass flywheel fitted. Even some mercedes have the issue but please note "some"... Hope this helps...
