So glad you addresses the storage/weight limits. Just because you have the room to put something doesn't mean you can and still be under your max weight. Don't forget to count the passengers in your weight!.
I am new to driving our 28ft Class A and drove I-80/I-90 across Indiana and Illinois just 2 weeks ago. Some how we ended up in Chicago during the evening rush hour! We made it safely, mostly because I have awesome guardian angels keeping me safe and guiding me out of the many tight spots hat pop up when you are a newby. We were going from the RV/MH Museum and Hall of Fame, west bound on I-90. We are in South Dakota now, visiting Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Headed for Seattle in our Discover America road trip. I always enjoy your videos and learn something from every one. Thank You for keeping us informed.
❤️the Podcast. You mentioned adventure, we raised two boys, that was an adventure. One born in ‘76 second one ‘81, we spent a lot of time camping at the lake, no T.T., just roughing it, sleeping in a tent & on a mattress. Back then you didn’t have to worry about being harmed. 👍👍👍👍 for what you’re doing, until the next time, the five of you have a blessed day and God Bless
We grew up in the I 80/90 Gary area. It is not your imagination how bad it is. We are now empty-nesters who have had to travel back there for years from NY. And we remember it from our high school days. The massive amount of truck traffic around Lake Michigan and Chicago has torn up that section for decades. It is always under re-construction and expansion. You will be much more relaxed adding two hours by taking state highways. There are good sights to see, some good diners and great scenery. And we are excited for your new TT!
Look into US 31 south then US 24 west. WE did it that way a few years ago. Yes it is extra miles and time, but little traffic. We were headed west into S.D. and on to Montana. This is where a regular maps is great instead of a GPS.
I like Skip's idea. I do something similar, but with 2 one liter water bottles. That way I can empty them when I'm done and not have to carry the weight around
Hi Jason and Abby! Sorry I went to go watch you yesterday. But I got kicked off line because we had a storm here. But I’m good to go today. I loved this video pod cast. I like the old Rvs and good to know that Mae West kind of thought of the Rv. So glad someone did. Love the museum. I’m so happy you are going go to get your Rv soon. I know you are excited to. That was a good video you showed of the weight of an Rv and vehicle tow very cool with the capacity. Jason our one expressway out here they tore it up. Abs have not fixed it yet. So I know how you feel. I live that thing that guy made to tie down your sewer hose. Great idea. Abby I live your black and fresh tanks too. I would be mad with those censored lights too. Glad we were able to help with everything you need. Hope you both have a great rest of week abs get your home soon. See you soon!
We've been warmly received by many in the area, we've found kind and helpful people at almost every place we've been to from the grocery store, to local restaurants, to our hotel, etc. Kindness goes a long way, and in my book, that makes Elkhart wonderful. - Abby
I'm not a RVer at this point in my life, but enjoy visiting transportation museums. I visited the RV Museum and Hall of Fame on August 9. I enjoyed my visit and seeing the RV history. I would have loved to have seen an Apache hardside and a Bethany popup trailer.
The best road maintenance crews I’ve seen on the highways have been Nebraska. They do a pretty darn good job. Most states are absolutely horrible. Be careful when you come back through Colorado because there is a ton of construction all over the state. Safe travels.
Oh boy, we were going to take I 80 to avoid going through the the main portion of Chicago to get from NY to Yellowstone in a few weeks (no trailer though). Sounds like it is bad even before 80 and 90 split, is this correct?
Coming from NY on I-80 take Ind. 49 south to US 30 west. Go to I-57 in Illinois north to pick up I-80 again. Get a good Rand McNally atlas and always keep it with you.
I80-90 between Indiana state line and Joliet is the most terrible and dangerous interstate in the USA. I dread that 40 miles of hell. I try to hit it at 6am on a Saturday or Sunday. Otherwise it is pure hell. Very difficult to travel in a 43 ft diesel with a car

When Jason looks at Abby you can just see how much he loves her. It is awesome!
Now I have added a new museum to my bucket list. Great tour.

What a great tour of this museum! Thank you for the tease 😂 now we have another must see destination to add!

Motion light that a piece of paper slide it behind the motion cover then crease it down:)
We went to the RV/MH HOF in July! Awesome displays & history!
'wonderful Elkhart".... I have driven through many times, but wonderful is a stretch.

I shared that video on towing in my Escape trailer group. Another great video 📹
If you can find it, put a couple of layers of tape over the sensor.
Awesome as always
Love your channel...........thank you! ThomyT
Was at the museum about a month ago. Enjoyed my time there very much.
I use a little sandbag for my sewer hose. Works great.
Great tip!

Colorado has some of the worst roads in the country. Arizona is number two. You would think Arizona would be good because it's dry. Nope
A new rig is so exciting. Have a great time.
Hello Cindy ,how are you doing ?
Great Video!!
So excited to see the rig and your smiles to be finally home!
I know how you feel about I-80. We were on it a month ago. I was debating on taking 88 toll road instead.
We were just there an hour ago!!!!
Cool place to visit if I ever get to that area!!
I can’t wait to see this new RV! I’m so excited for you!
Great episode! Left a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts as well. Thanks for the informative and entertaining content as always :)
Thanks, Scott for watching and for the support!
Put a piece of tape over the sensor of your hotel bathroom light
Thanks Jason & Abby (sp?)! We always look forward to your informative videos and hope to use our HH at this location.
Our pleasure!
Blue painters tape (Walmart) will fix that sensor light issue 😎
They don't let you unhook a trailer at the scales. Do combined, detach in the yard, do the tower.
My favorite is Charles Lindbergh's.
I'd love to see the museum!
We really enjoyed it. Looking forward to checking out the expansion next year.
@@RVMiles too bad it's located where it is..... although I understand why!
Thanks for mentioning the price of a Cat Scale weigh in.. I've always wanted to know this. Thanks for your RV info/incite. Love your podcasts.
Glad it was helpful!
24:11 I-80/90 … isn’t that the Dan Ryan Expressway⁉️ 🤔💭 #DamnRyan 🤦🏽♂️
If you really want to avoid i80, then it’s probably a route 30 to i355 to get around the bad part of i80. 👍
Can you put tape over the sensor?
If we’d had some on us, we definitely would have! Great suggestion.
Just drove that part of 80/90 2 weeks ago in our RV. You are right--it is really bad in every way.

put a towel over the light or its sensor

Hey I guess the RV hall of fame is still open XD
Good job pronouncing Ryan's last name! Great job on the video content, another home run! Can't wait to see the new digs!
