RULES:
The object of game is to be the first player, or team, to get 21 points. Setup the boards on flat ground, slanting in towards each other, with 27 feet between the front edge of each board. Each team picks a side of one of the boards and their teammate goes directly in front of them next to the other board. Give each team 4 bags of the same color. Pick a team to throw first, then throws alternate between the 2 players from opposite teams.
On your turn, you throw 1 of your bags onto the board across from you. When you throw, you may not step past the front edge of the board that is next to you nor the boards side edge to throw from the other side where your opponent stands or behind the board. You may throw the bag however you like. If the bag hits the ground and bounces onto the board or hangs from the board so it touches the ground, then that throw is disqualified, and the bag is immediately removed and that bag scores no points for the round and is not rethrown. After you throw 1 bag, your opponent throws 1 bag, and you alternate throws until all the bags are thrown. Bags may not be moved after thrown nor rethrown. Once all 8 bags have been thrown, you calculate points. Points are only scored at the end of the round.
Any bag on the face of the board is worth 1 point. Bags hanging on the board still count, unless they are touching the ground. Any bag knocked off the board during throws from another bag don’t score points. Any bag that made it into the hole is worth 3 points even if it fell into the hole from another bag from a different throw by either player. Any bag hanging into the hole is only worth 1 point. Points from opposing teams cancel each other out so only one team scores each round. For example, if the red team has 4 points and the blue has 1 point, then the red team scores 3 points for the round and adds it to their total score while the blue team scores 0. Gather up the bags and the team that scored the most points in the round throws first in the next round. Rounds also alternate which set of players throws and the direction of the throws.
This process repeats until one team reaches 21 points with a lead of 2 points, then that team is the winner. There are other variations where you can play that you must get exactly 21 points and if you go over then your team’s score is reduced to 11 and play continues. Another variation is that every point scores for both sides each round and the team with the most points after 13 rounds is the winner. Before beginning a game, agree to which way you will score.
This video seems more energetic and genuine than others! Whatever you did for this video that you didn't for others, keep it up!
He forgot the most important rule, you gotta play this with a beer in your hand.
I don't mind that he didn't mention it, it's fine
But... What if you throw the beer into the hole?
@@Elthian Really?
@@basty_gaming5750 I mean, you're holding a sack of sand, and a can of beer on the other hand. If you were to throw and you're slightly drunk, that might happen.
@@Elthian Or just spaced out
I think you could also play it in a curling couting variant: Only the team with the bag closest to the hole scores for each bag closer than all of the oponent bags. Multiple Bags in the hole are tied as the closest bag and always score
Yup, that's the version I'm used to
You should also cover other underrated board games, I just found one called Funny Bunny. You rolled cards as dice between 1-3 and there's a Spin card. To win, anyone reach the top or until your opponent's all 4 lives are lost.
I’m a big fan of Cornhole
another variant that my family plays is, if your team's score would make you go over 21 at any point during a round, then that round ends and you lose that many points from your current score. for example, if red has 20 points, their turn is first, and they throw their bag into the hole, their score is reduced to 17 and the players on the other side take their turn.
Variant rules:
1. If a bag touches the ground before it gets onto the board, it still counts for points
2. You can throw from either side of the board, or from behind, as long as you don't cross the front of the board or step on the board ( in the end, it doesn't matter what side you throw from)
3. If a bag is hanging off the board, but touching the ground, the bag scores a point if you can pivot the board up (with the pivot point being the back legs) and the bag doesn't fall off (or you can lift the board straight up if that is easier)
This is mostly just ignoring the most ignored rules lol
Ya. If a bag bounces onto the board, I’m not walking over there and back to remove it from play. 100% on board with your rule 1 here.
That's the way we play.
What's most surprising to me is that there's actually a professional cornhole league in the states
i love cornhole! its awesome!
what is the other board used for ?
Is there a good way to adapt this for 2 players?
Usefull...❤
You might like the game called in spanish "menos una "it has some similar and tricky rules
For board games it might be cool to try mus
Thank you sir
I first learned about this from seeing ESPN televise the professional leagues that play this game.
Go First,Second,Third,Fourth 🙂🙂🙂🙂Friends 00:24
Is this the first game that features social distancing?
I’ve always heard that the losing team gets to go first, with ties broken by whoever was losing before the tie
So... Why do you even need two boards? Can't you just get one board, mark a distance line and go for it?
You cannot throw however you like, it has to be underhand. Unless your Dayton Weber of the ACL (American Cornhole League).
I got a great deal on this board today I don't know why I thought this was a simple game of tossing a bean bag this is too complicated I'm taking the game back
Cornholio, how to play. The rules are the same as regular Beavis, except for these changes. For a refresher of those rules, check out Beavis & Butthead videos.
27 feet is around 8.23 meters.
Horse Shoes Mo Betta..this Blows
The rules are the same as corn, but with these changes
You may only throw one bag at a time, therefore en passant in not allowed.
Can't see why you'd need two boards though
4 players, that's why.

The rules are the same as regular chess, except for this changes (i wanted to be the one that adds this comment)
Wait, if one player exceeds 21 points, isn’t their score reduced to 15 instead of 11?
Wait, so there are two identical boards, but you really only use one?
One at a time; after the players on one side throw, the players on the other side get a turn.
🔥🔥
Now I want a tutorial of how to clone yourself
My only issue with this game is that the winner is not declared "The Great Cornholio!"
Important question:
Is en passant allowed?
@JD Ben Oh yeah? I was really wondering where that move was from...
Eseentially the same rules as Bowls.
Weight of the bags?
Do you notice that both players were cloned?
There's a solo variant where there's 1 person on each team

This game is boring with only one hole. You should have multiple holes with different point values. The way we used to do it (we used washers instead of bean bags) was we had five holes set up like the five side of a die. The front two holes were one point, the back two holes were two points, and the center hole was five points. To win, you had to make exactly 21 without going over. We also had a nail in the very back of the board where if you can (somehow!) get a washer around that nail, it's an instant win.
Well if you want a greater challenge, you could try ladder ball. It’s kind of similar to cornhole but played with bolas and a pair of ladders with three rungs each.
Do How to Play Horseshoes. That game is like cornhole, but for real men.
4-1=3
I though you just throw it into the hole
I didn't know you had clones of yourself
I don't speak burgers and guns, I'll figure out the distance real quick
So Horseshoes with beanbags.

Temporarily off the chess kick
pro tip: play in front of a mirror so you can see your opponent's beanbags

Ahhh, cornhole??? What an unfortunate name to call this game. Will leave it up to you to figure it out.
IT IS AN INSULT TO THE GREAT CORNHOLIO!!
You 100% have to throw under handed. You can’t overhand throw bags.
You're 100% wrong
why is it called cornhole💀
Lawn darts for millennials!🤣🤣🤣
Instructions not clear.
Threw my old bag at the board but now she's in the hospital.
