- Welcome on board Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s low cost carrier and one of the aviation pioneers in the Middle East. We’re flying on one of their newest A320neo aircrafts, so let’s have some avgeek fun!
First of all a big thanks to you all for joining!
Jazeera Airways is one of the very first low cost carriers in the Middle East who initially had planned a multi-hub network around the Middle East. They even had a hub in my hometown of Dubai. After these plans did not go as planned they focused on their Kuwait hub and the rest is history.
They’re very present on multiple of the most popular routes from Kuwait and offer great fares and value for your buck.
Join me on this very good airline that once again shows each one of us how affordable fares should not come at the cost of our experience. Aviation is such a beautiful business and this is how low cost should be done (apart from some shortfalls..)

@@TheLayoverAviation No they don't but have you ever heard of POK(Pakistan occupied kashmir), Most maps of the world which you will see out there shows POK is included in pakistan but pakistan has illegally occupied that land of kashmir but Jazeera considered that part to be of India😇😇

Amazing cinematography! I vividly remember that Jazeera Airways used to operate a hub out of Dubai...my family and I had to travel several times between Dubai and India, and they were usually the cheapest and best option! If anything, their timings were just whack, at 0400 for example, but then again that's usually the slots gulf carriers like to operate in...
They were phenomenal then, and they are phenomenal now!

Thanks a lot my friend! Good you have good memories. They are cheap indeed, even if I book a ticket to India with Jazeera from DXB via KWI they continue to be more affordable then most direct flights, crazy!
And yes, departure times in DXB are what it is.. It kills me because 90 of my trips are at insane hours, but the benefits of living in DXB are huge so its a win-win!

Amazing vlog Alex, trying to catch up on a few videos😅. Jazeera seems like quite a decent airline especially for its price. Dubai’s terminal 1 is quite a great airport especially in comparison to terminal 2

These short video’s are easier to edit so it takes less time between video’s 😛
And no idea why the high performance on take off.. Glad you noticed. I feel like the pilot was in a rush all the time.

Can you also try flynas and flyadeal. I recently flew with ettihad in the A321 and apart from a free meal service it was not much different from lcc. No ife and stream to the device and the inflight map was very poor

As a Kuwaiti, I nowadays extremely rarely fly with Jazeera.
They used to be way better; free meals and cleaner cabins and more competent pilots in my opinion.
But they have to stand out from other airlines by lowering the fares. Kuwait Airways themselves are one of the most affordable in the Middle East, so I guess Jazeera had to do whatever to make their tickets cheaper. Don’t know. But it’s still far better then any US, Asian o European low cost..!
In my opinion they were trying to compete with the Flag Carrier by opening the same routes but just a little bit cheaper tickets, which was a wrong move. Now I see they shifted in strategies and trying to fly to some different destinations especially in East Asia instead of flying to destinations Kuwait Airways already does. I mean who wants to fly to LHR with no full meal and no individual screens and minimal seat recline for let's say ONLY $100 or $200 less than any other full service carrier during peak travel season?
Also you were lucky you flew with their newest planes, I was unlucky to fly on their A320ceo and it was horrible😂But they are doing well innovation-wise as a low cost carrier, so good for them!@@TheLayoverAviation

Muuy buen video! Tengo muchas ganas de hacer un viaje en primavera (tengo 1 week) por el Golfo.. pero no se muy bien cómo elegir. En Dubai ya estuve y Doha no me interesa. Me recomendarías alguna ciudad en especial? Había pensado AUH & Kuwait o algo así. Omán también me llama pero no se si me daría tiempo a verlo bien, son distancias muy largas.. Menudo rollo te he soltado 😂 Por cierto, respecto al warm-up time tras la puesta en marcha de los motores, ¿qué es lo peor que podría "pasar" si se despega sin respetar esos minutos de calentamiento? Hola amigo! Los vuelos desde Kuwait suelen ser los más baratos, sobretodo a Europa y el Oriente Medio con las flag carriers. Pero es Dubai la ciudad que tiene más variedad de aerolíneas. En Doha no hay mucho y estoy de acuerdo que es un poco aburrido..
Puedes considerar tambien a Sharjah, lo tienes a 15km de Dubai. Abu Dhabi a 130km. Así que yo consideraría DXB 😊

Ah, y no creo que ocurra nada con el motor si no se precalienta.. El problema sería si los pilotos lo hicieran constantemente, creo.. Lo tendré que preguntar a algún ingeniero 😊

Can you try flying Air India Express. Because the new livery release soon. Btw I am from Kerala, India. You can either fly to Kannur, Kozhikode, Kochi or Trivandrum. The new livery is released in Mumbai, Lucknow and Delhi.
When the a380 was pushbacking,why did you say Emirates A380 from London LHR? Isn’t it Emirates A380 to London LHR?
What are the nationalities of the cabin crew? Are they from Kuwait? How do the pilots?
Next flight go for Air India Express, they managed to merge with Air Asia India so you should fly with them to see how it is :D

I'm late today. Good you went on Jazeera Airways for a change. How do you know so much about flying a plane? You do tell in your videos about flaps taken down and thrust applied and some other info
I know mostly because I have studied aviation a lot and I have many pilot friends and experience on planes. Some people know a lot about cars without being engineers, me I know about planes 😆
And I published the video very late at night so maybe that’s why “you’re late” haha.

With regard to jazeera terminating the hub in Dubai, is because emirates requested the fifth freedom right out of Kuwait and was declined , so they declined it for jazeera

The busiest routes are London, NY Cairo, and Istanbul out of Kuwait
Fantastic video! Jazeera Airways is good but nothing special. Our IndiGo offers a Flexi Fare for around $60 on flights of this length with complimentary seat selection, a meal and a drink. After taking 50+ flights, i have never been dissatisfied. Have you ever tried AirAsia? They are very good too. I am surprised that Jazeera Airways could only fit 168 economy seats even after using the Cabin Flex configuration as most airlines fit 186. What are we getting for our next video? Jazeera airways could have fit more seats but they wanted to keep the cabin more spacious than other low cost airlines. He did mention the decent amount of space and legroom when he boarded the aircraft.
So business class has one middle seat empty, and you got two. So you basically flew first class 😂😂.
Fly smart.. There are so many times when I rather fly Economy vs Business or First because it’s stupid to waste money when you don’t have to..
(you have to be able to find out if your flight is going to be full or not, which I can 😜)
