Mullet Bay Beach is located on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten and is one of the favorite beaches of many tourists and even locals on the island of St. Maarten. Mullet Bay Beach is located just 1.3 miles (2.1 km) away from Princess Juliana International Airport and 9.6 miles (15.4 km) away from the Port of St. Maarten.
Mullet Bay is known on the island of St. Maarten as a surfer’s paradise. Mullet Bay has crystal clear water that swimmers love as well as a less crowded beach than the neighboring Maho Bay which is 0.8 miles (1.4 km) away. Entry into Mullet Bay is free, and tourists can rent a chair and umbrella for a small fee.
Mullet Bay has waves that are usually a little rougher than other beaches on the island, which makes it a popular destination for tourists and locals who enjoy surfing and other water sports. Tourists on Mullet Bay can visit Mullet Bay Golf Course which is the island’s only 18-hole golf course located nearby.
Tourists can expect many students to hang out in Mullet Bay in their limited free time since the American medical university of the Caribbean is located nearby. Visitors can purchase coconuts, burgers, drinks, and other refreshments, from many local vendors on the beach. At Mullet Bay tourists can find a snack bar that allows visitors to use a restroom or changing room for a small fee.
