but I can't watch youtube in 1080p unless i get the gtx 1080 right?
yes
+The Dreadinator indeed
Thats why i got a gtx 2160 to watch 4k.
Still waiting for the GTX 4000. 4k is the future
I pity the rx480 users in that case.
It's pretty impressive. I like how Zotac took the time to dedicate some development towards stability and not just cooling.
Y'all have a great fuckin day. :))
Jesus... Just ordered this. Very glad I have a case with horizontal MOBO design. Would never dare to leave this hanging from regular vertical mobo.
Dayum, I thought my G1 was big. Fuck.
Its heavier than many laptops.
+Ashutosh Tewari does the card touch the window on the nzxt s340?
so zotac amp edition or msi gaming x? GTX 1070 ofc
MSI Gaming Z is probably better, nothing still beats it in oc. The amount of vrm on that card is more than 10 thats just too much for a GPU. But I think Zotac amp extreme will be the coolest gtx 1070.
Decent VRm and a ultra beefy cooler. I personally like this, prefer this for the 5 year warranty as opposed to 3 yr of MSI.
Gpu Boost 3.0 boost it automaticly higher.
I like the idea of seeing Dennis on your jersey, it shows respect and respect to you bro.
I got my Gtx 1070 amp extreme running at gtx 1080 speeds. Flash the Bios and your running no more than 10 frps slower than the gtx 1080. The Gtx 1070 generally run about 20 frames slower. But you won't have anny issues running 4k.
Imagine if you also overclocked it
Holy crap that thing is a total BEAST. This review has settled it for me, I read about this card in paper but wow, it looks insane it handles insane, crushes everything - even the PCI sockets.. - great review. I'm getting one.
Eko fans. Carbon this, Ice that.
None of that marketing bullshit matters when the cards are voltage locked with no tools to unlock them, yet. What Zotac has done here is just polish a turd.
This is true! My 1080 FTW can't get pass 2.1 so does my friend with ASUS OC,
Exactly, all the 10 cards have a hard limit on overclocks. The 1080 is 2.1ghz no matter if it is FE or some crazy custom 3 slot card like this. No point in this card. Too bad TS didn't point out these facts in the review.
+Josh Simpson because they don't oc. no one really watches them for that
+taief miah they watch for Logan shenanigans.
Josh Simpson and wendell's knowledge
A while back I watched your computer build videos, and feel inspired! I haven't built a computer before, but with this, I bet I'll be in pretty good shape for my build.
I have a feeling that my motherboard might snap in half once I set this monster up...
Holy crap, that thing's a beast. Both in terms of performance and physical design.
This reminds me of noctua's big ass coolers.
But look decent
MrDynamicMan It's a good looking cooler.
it really looks good!
I really wish nocuta would just give up the cheesy Brown design's already jesus christ ...... like are they giving us powerfull but ugly looking coolers on purpose ?! It's like they're trolling us .....
awesome upgrades are always welcome. thank you for the chance
This GPU has gotten great reviews by every YT reviewer i have watched, so i would be glad to have it.
love that card, i have the 970 version and its a beast, can only imagine the performance of this thing, great review.
Bought it last week and its coming on Tuesday! Stoked to get mine!!
Nice "piece" of tech! I wonder just when did all these monsters end up becoming a super expensive brick?! :)))
Anyway, thanks Tek Syndicate for the chance and good luck to all of us!
Man, this thing is a Beast. Looking forward to eventually buy a 1060 because i dont have the money for a 1070 but that video made me drool
Another great video, keep up the good work Logan (and the rest of the team)
I've always enjoyed the Zotac cards since I first purchased a 460 amp edition back in the day and this one seems to fall right in line.
You guys should do a separate video pushing this card to he limits. I would love to see the power in this massive card
I loved what Zotac did for the gtx 1070s cooling!
This thing is fantastic. The cooler looks like the old Arctic Cooling HSFs we'd put on GPUs back in the early 2000's... after eating a cow. So massive.
I hope you were serious when you said, there might be a video every day, on the last Tek.
Awesome video! Great channel, all the server side details etc. Keep it up.
I was looking for a GTX 1080 and almost have the money for it. Was unsure whether to wait another month and get it or settle for a 1070 - you helped me make my choice: 1070 Amp Extreme it is. So if I, at some point in the future, would regret buying the 1070 Amp Extreme... well then it's gonna be YOUR fault! :)
Perfect for the Thermaltake x9 case! Motherboard is horizontal and the case is HUGE!
It's really, really big beast :) Looks amazing!
I think new case will be necessary.
Thanks for the review! Love how you make videos!
I think the looks is the best! Zotac do a lot of good work making it beauty.
Crazy performance from this 1070!
@Tek Syndicate I'm grabbing the 1080 yet I think I'll stay away from the extreme edition since it sags BADLY. What are your thoughts ? By the way nice Dennis Ritchie shirt.
Sounds like a phenomenal card. Like to see how far it can be pushed. With this cooler, that is.
Pushing the limits of 1070 greatness
Where are you filming right now?
Great review Logan! very detailed and minimal bs! :D
I did ended up picking one up and is amazing. I love the size of this card in my Thermaltake Core X9. It looks like it was meant to be there. XD It is pretty quite and stay pretty cooled.
Absolutely massive card. Nice plug on the upcoming remake of System Shock +1.
I've been looking at the 1070s and will definitely check this out now
I still get Goosebumps every time I hear Slay The Chopper.
I don't know if that massive hunk of metal is necessary for the highly efficient 1070, but it does mean the fans can be kept as quiet as liquid cooling and still allow room for overclocking. Awesome.
Biggest 1070 yet! Logan, will just one of these run an ultrawide like the Acer Predator x-34 or the Asus PG348Q? I'm trying to decide between 2 of these (1070's) or a single 1080. I'll be trying to game, etc. at 1440p @ 100+mhz. I like the looks of the card but it really is big and heavy.
Nice, the review I wanted since I won't be going for GTX 1080.
Were the fans loud under load/when gaming?
My fans havent turned on yet, im not even kidding, ive played several hours of reasonably demanding games at high settings.
Havent got around to overclocking it however
Nice review i really like the card when you showed it at the show i wanted to see more, I'm entering the comp you never know...
Why not just put 3 slots on the back? Would help with wheight support, reduce sagging, and still you won't use anything on the 0,5 slot.
This is the best review of the X-series cards I've seen. Why because you didn't kiss the ass of the manufacturer but told us about the card and its features. :)
This is definitely the most clean, rigid, premium, feature and top notch VGA that big Z ever made!
I'll be let this bend on my case any time.... s2 >]
Just might pick one of these up today, thanks for the review
Sweet looking card, a bit worried about my desk. May have to reinforce it with a concrete foundation ;) As always keep the vids coming.
I just picked one of these up, (sadly needs an exchange do to coil whine) but I'm deeply considering holding off for just a bit and chippin in a some extra $ for the msi seahawk variation. Have you by any chance had the oppurtunity to test drive the seahawk 1070?
Logan, which version of System Shock are you talking about? Can somebody please link me to the exact game. Closest I found was System Shock: Enhanced Edition on Steam, but not quite sure that's the right version.
Hi, i have a question. I have a Cooler Master Storm Trooper case and i wanted to know if this video card would fit in ? Thanks for the answers!
This thing is a beast. Hope it won't bend my motherboard. Thanks for the review!
Man, I'm so confused right now. Should I pick the Zotac 1070 AMP! Edition or this? Thanks for the review, though, not many videos about this card, right now.
I picked up the EVGA GTX SC 1070 for $440 (Newegg). It was in stock. Only the 3rd GPU I've bought. I've only ever bought EVGA. Rift showed up a month early so I needed a card and this was in my price range. I don't overclock so it works for me. My old card was EVGA GTX SC 780. For Witcher III and everything else I play it was still fine. Not so much for VR though. I was able to play VR games; though I did get nauseous far easier than I do now. Still running the Z-87 chipset with an i5-4670 CPU. I'm still gaming at 1080p. I may go 4k in a couple years if I build a new machine. maybe not.
Spent 1.5K on my pc. Bough mobo 5820K and a gtx 1070 aswell as DDR4
That is one big damn card...a 1070 would go amazing in my new build!
Nice card, but does the huge cooler make any difference in temperature? I would have liked to see a comparison with other cards. If the difference is not subsantial with other similar cooled cards, the thickness and weight are just a burden. Aesthetically I like it, but the backplate's yellow and gray colour scheme doesn't go well with many themes.
It is incredible how video cards as gone. I have 980ti extreme with custom rom and it is fast very... but these is insane. As same as mine is a heavy. i am getting a support for it.
Why isn't it picking up that I already submitted entries? Or is it two different contests for a 980 and 1070?
thank you friends!
Aw I wish I had the money for one of these beauties.
Design and specs look pretty good.
This card is awesome.. Any watercooling blocks available?
Bad ass card Logan much want. Great video quality at 1440 on my 1080p fone.
This card looks amazing. I love how huge the heat sink is... sadly, one would need to buy the acrylic GPU anti-sag thing.
That background on your right hand side? Where is it from?
You and zotac make a great data mining team.
What a huge card! Great video BTW.
What support system would you recommend when mounting in your computer?
The concern I have with this card is putting so much weight on the PCIe slot. I have the same issue with huge CPU air coolers. They may provide great cooling but there is strain put on the motherboard from the weight. If I were to take my computer somewhere I'd make sure to lay my computer on its back. Is there a way to retrofit a motherboard to help support the weight of the card?
I can't wait for these to stabilize in price.
I love the triple slot. Pure awesomeness!
So I ended up getting this card and I'm pretty happy with the performance. My only gripe with it is that my Zotac circles that are supposed to be pasted to the fans... are off center. I don't know why and what caused it, and I'm not sure if I should return it for a new one. Any ideas?
Awesome card... It'll be interesting to see what they do with the more powerful cards
This card is so freaking huge. But it's good. Very impressed with the 1070 performance.
do i need a gpu support for this? or is it ok without one? cuz its THICCC
I want to buy one of those but im stuck on one point? how are the components on the pcb?
Msi and Asus say that they use better quality elements, but how about zotac?
Do you think this thing will sag with an old sabertooth z87 and a corsair air 549 case?
Damn that's a big card . Awesome video
ZOTAC offers a five year warranty in my region which is another solid reason to get this card.
Looks pretty sick, loving the look
Firestorm any good for ocing? OR stick with afterburner?
I'm planning on buying this. Does it sag under an old z87 Sabertooth?
I've read that on MSI and Asus, you can reach 2000 pretty easily for overclocking, but you mentioned here it was around 1800? Is that something I can expect from mine when I get it? I realize the dual power connections help push that limit, but does this card struggle to reach 2000 just with one power intake?
Also can someone tell me how this holds up in a case? Does the weight need to be supported somehow? I just feel it would cause long term problems with it's weight on my motherboard.
That card is stunning.
Would love to have one of these, still rocking a 760 and it's having a hard time keeping up!
What sort of OC are people getting on this card, Im looking for one that I could boost to like 2000mhz at least and still stay relatively cool
so to what Mhz where you able to push the card??? My founders edition hits 2062 Mhz thus far
Solid card, but the yellow stripes look kind of cheap. I think the backplate would look better without them. Do you have some temperature data for this card?(OC or in stock clock)
Will the entry count if my RUclips account email isn't the same as my sign up email for the competition?
love the look of these cards and that cooler is no joke. I would love to get one for the wife's rig
love the channel, love my stickers and my WASd shirt really wanna try for the gangster hoodie... LOGAN WENDAL . KANE, PISTOL, you guys are my favorite source for NO bullshit real facts keep it up
What would you guys advise to get to support the extra weight of the card?
It does look heavy. Would it work if just lay my computer on the side with it?
is this the ZT-P10700Q-10P model ? What about the ram , ddr5 or ddr5x ?
Does This gpu fit inside a corsair 780t case and is it compatible with a smirk godlike motherboard ?
I have an asus Z170 Pro Gaming mobo and im between these two (Zotac Extreme 1070 and Asus Strix 1070)... Will the Asus Strix work better with my Asus mobo or should i take the Zotac for more ''horsepower'' ?
Happy gaming to the winner of this card :D
What kind of support could one get to keep the card in a stable position?
Any recommendations on additional support for this monster?
