Do the kidney beans need to be soaked in water for any amount of time first? I saw some recipes where they soak them for hours to avoid poisoning

I use tinned types as it much easier and can store loads in cupboard

Best not to use tinned beans fresh is better and with chemicals and healthier
soak the beans overnight and throw away the water
always use fresh
