he's my favorite rapper and I heard pride a million times it's so good but I've never watch this show. this clipped kinda spoiled it for me I guess lol but I give the show major props for using an amazing song.
What an ending. He is left to suffer in what he himself created. But then again, he did say he wanted to be free, so maybe it isn’t so bad for him after all.
Bible is as practical as it is spiritual “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18 ESV Pride (self love) was first sin. It is a perversion of true love. It caused the Devil to want to be greater then God. It caused Eve to want to be like God, it caused Adam to hide from God, it caused Caine to kill Abel, etc, etc. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Leon gave up his life for those he loved and ended up finding himself. Saint was willing to risk any & everybody for what he wanted, and lost it all.
I been thinking about this since i saw it bruh I’m heartbroken I watched a man’s entire downfall take place in a single episode it was horrific i still feel conflicted about the ending cuz it was a great ending but it left me so unhappy😭😭 the way he looks before and after with his messed up teeth and eye and shirt when he used to be so clean and put together the way his house looked Omg bruh he has literally no one and nothing now I’m just heartbroken i keep telling myself it’s just a show 😭😭
His crackhead attire was a bit dramatic. Kingpins like that will at least have a clean outfit or two. Dude didn't even have a belt. How he looked was more of a critique of what "the writers" thought of a person like that, more than anything. Just like the show Power, besides Walter Mosley, you get these non-Black writers adding in these weird plot twist. Black sons don't kill their fathers, and Black mothers wouldn't have done no shit like that....not with that kind of money on the line. Most Black mothers just stay out of it, if they don't approve of their son's drug game.
Now I understand the title of the show, his down fall at the end represents the act of snow falling. I thought him dying or going to jail would have been the right punishment but this is definitely how should have ended. Even though he deserves every single thing, at the end I truly felt sorry for him. I immediately started picturing Franklin in my head from the first season, how innocent he was before the world consumed him.
This song was absolutely chefs kiss perfect for the end of this show. Not since Six feet under has a finale and song stuck with me in a really deep place. RIP Dad
Another perspective. Leon wanted Saint to help with his bullshit legal services organization. All the while, Saint was like," if yall would've gotten with my program, we would've had every service. None were thinking on his level, and ended up stifling the process. And now they're all back to street level BS, Saint getting the worst if it. None of their hands were clean and would end up in the same hell...they got a conscience, got off code and left him out to dry.
Leon got out just in time though, he was able to break the cycle by going back to Africa again in the final episode. This time when he came back, he had a better idea of how to help his community than what he had before. He actually realized the damage he had done through his actions and he took accountability.
@@vomo8322 for most of the show Leon & Jerome seemed to struggle with what they were doing to their community. Both seemed to go along with it out of loyalty or to protect those involved.
to be honest Africans need to go back home man. and help the Sml Snm take on the govt to help there people fight for there rights not over blocks and turf they think they own cause they were raised there
I remember sawing an edit with this scene, made me want to watch the show, i did, and i’m so happy i did, no good endings for criminals with such extent, still didn’t expect such an ending. I call this show a masterpiece. RIP John Singleton
I wasn’t prepared for this. 😢 I was ready for him to die. I was ready for him to go to jail. I was not ready for him to fall apart. I damn sure wasn’t ready for this song. Now I can’t stop listening to it.
I seen this happen to real og ballers in real life. From the biggest dope dealer to the neighborhood drunk or junkies. You can have it all , but the end in this game is always gone be ugly
Saint went from stressing over 73 million dollars to just being happy to see that 20 dollars Leon gave him. Crazy
Welcome to the world pride 😭
That's why he said he is free in his own way . Before that he only cared about money but now he have nothing left and nothing to care about.
Imagine having no money and only thinking bout money

Utter genius. Should've been in the actual episode.
Right? The intro lyrics fit so well in that scene
Woulda been phenomenal
Yo I’m still crying
Only the real ones know how hard it is to see your homie at rock bottom
