Hi Johnathon, That brilliant mate I’m getting a LC300 VX soon and I would like to up grade the steering wheel to a Sahara 300 so I can utilise the heated steering wheel that the Sahara has ,but the VX doesn’t have. We live in a cold climate and need it. Can you tell me how much the up grade wheel was mate and could you foresee see any problems.
It came from Aliexpress from China as they all do from "aftermarket wheel manufacturers". The core is definitely a genuine Toyota product, you can tell from the castings and it has been reupholstered with the leather, plastic accents and new buttons etc.The one i ordered for Marcus' Hilux and my own 79 is the Piano Black model. I find it the most "OEM spec" looking. So far so good. It feels so nice to hold - but only time will tell
79 with 300 series steering wheel is like looking at a grandpa carrying the latest iphone on the market. Can you map the i-drive to one of those toggle switch ?
question - does the 300 series wheel give any extra reach extension? i find the hilux steering wheel on full extension is way too short for me. please advise
Hey mate I believe it does... there are a few buttons on the wheel which the preface N80 hilux does not have functionality for. I'd assume the newer 300 would share similar tech to the new hilux. If that was the case I'd assume all 300 functions would transfer over. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

@@TriNguyen-qq5ul take it back to Toyota i have heard they are pretty good with replacing the timing chain as it is a very well known issue. The sound is very distinct, chain rattle on cold start and low RPM vibration. Some say it's normal but no it is not. By the time it develops more than just the sound, it will be too late and you will have permanent engine damage. All the best with it!
I don't see why it couldn't work if you had existing controls Double check by taking the horn pad off, if the connector housing on the clockspring is a 12 pin connector, it will be plug and play. If the 2022 Prado wheel is the same as the 200, it will plug right in

You retain the factory toyota N80 airbag detonator so no it doesn't include an airbag. I swap the detonators over in the video

No there's no specific torque. Tighten it down how you would normally a 10mm bolt. Don't overtighten!
