I played Efren in 2017; the game was the best three out of five in nine ball. Of course he beat me and I enjoyed it. - - - If you are ever in the Huntsville Alabama area just stop by Steve's Cue and Grill - - - as you walk in you will see a picture of Efren and I on the left just outside the entrance of my cue repair shop - - - I'm there every week, if I'm not in my shop just walk up to the bar and look to your right - - - I am normally setting at the first table having coffee or unsweetened tea if I am not teaching someone how to shoot pool - - - if you shoot pool, since I own all the Diamond pool tables in the bar, the table time will be on me and I will let you break!
He is definitely the BEST pool player of all time!!!! So far, I feel this is one of his best matches that I have seen and believe me I have watched a whole lot of his competitions!!! The man is a genius at this game!!!!! 🇿🇦SA
I have a newfound love and respect for this game, all thanks to the fabulous Efren Reyes!! Now, I just can't stop watching this Master in action! And, has anyone in this "sport" ever been more likable??
In my younger days I played league pool, both Valley and Bud Light. I played with an older gentleman on one team who only practiced at home with bank shots and another fellow who only practiced with one ball, the Q ball. The former gentleman was fun and awesome to watch and learn from. The latter gentleman taught me that you can practice for free on almost any table in almost any establishment because the secret to winning at pool is to be able to control the Q ball. The Q ball is usually available while you have to pay for the rest of the balls. I am less than an accomplished pool player, but have played on A rated teams. But then, my job was to pocket 5 and hide. 😎
Efron was a student of mine when he was younger and I was teaching billiards at the WBSC. Even then he was very gifted. He still calls me once in a while for refresher lessons.
Beyond all the trophies and money earned by Efren Reyes, there is one enormous accomplishment. He has almost single-handedly brought attention and notoriety to the game of pool. Thousands of young players attracted to the sport from watching his magnificent matches on RUclips videos.
Efren is my favorite pool player. The best without a doubt! He's G.O.A.T. Jimmy is a great player too, but Efren has more experience. It's all. Thanks.
I LOVE that this channel gives respect to the competition & tells us a little bit about the other pool players & never trashes them or says anything bad, just fair & respectful competition. Wetch was a terrific player, not better than Efren but was an amazing player. Much love to you all from America 🇺🇸❤🇵🇭
Efran the greatest pool player ever he and some of the great players and the commontaters make me like and understand pools i realy love to listen to danny
Love this older footage of the GOAT Efren. And maybe the 90’s were when his magic started to kick in but I’ve seen as a kid in Chicago, much older videos from the 70’s. (Actually they were tournaments he was playing live as we followed all the pool tournaments)They may have even been in black and white television back then since most lower budget programs always were. I really doubt you could find these old reels digitized now but that’s when Efren became my favorite pool player. He had long black hair and smoked cigarettes like everyone did back then but the American players were short-haired squares and conservative. Efren was a foreigner but he was so much cooler than the American players and looked more like us poor hippies in Chicago. We all had long hair back then so he was one of us. Maybe a poor guy from the Philippines who was beating the American rich squares we didn’t identify with. That’s all it took for me and my pool playing friends. “He looks and acts like us! Go Efren! Show these squares who’s boss!” And he definitely did that. He must have been around 17 or 18 years old back then and we were like 14. But he was a young pool star to us 20 years before this video you just showed. Just wondering if you could find those old clips. Would be really neat to see them again. Thanks as always. 🤙🏼
There was an article that said his prime was the 1970s and early 1980s. Back then, it is said that after he breaks and pockets a ball and he can see the next object ball, the game is over.
change your thumbnails to most of your videos. for this one. wetch never said that reyes is nobody and he never said that he can outsmart the magician. STOP making false narratives for god’s sake.
At what point in this clip does Enron’s opponent imply he’s a nobody? No need to bullshit the thumbnail . It makes you less credible as a RUclips poster.
I would bet that his opponent never said anything like what's in the thumbnail. How you always want to artificially make it even better to make it look even more badass. Whatever you need something like that.
My partner and I once drove 500 miles to NOT bet on Jimmy getting the 7 from Efren… Talked about it the whole drive… Then Jimmy convinced my partner to pony up half.. Smh.. I was out.. Told him as much, this is your dime, not mine..
When Efren have to look for other jobs because no one wanted to play against him and to fake a name as Cesar Morales just to play... that is saying something.

Truly!
He just got LUCKY to be the Greatest Pool player that ever walked the earth
@@mervinbelbis362 He sure gets lucky a lot? Like every time he plays the game? LOL!
@bebsbabelonia4765 What I was saying is he is so good it looks like he is lucky. Efren makes his luck it just doesn't happen on its own.
@bebsbabelonia4765 Efren himself humbly saying that he is just "LUCKY" (with a smile) everytime he wins. He don't boast.😊
Efren Bata Reyes is a Beast in His prime, no one could beat Him, great stroke and super intelligent
Strickland could 1/2 the time .
@@davidbrown4271 efren never beaten in a money game that time..not in officials game but money game

If you call a race to 2, the best 3 out of 5, I bet you did get beat
@@dymondsystems It's okay, math is just not a long suit!
Nine ball is a quick game. Best three out of five probably didn't take long..

Yeah youre right!
The master of cueball. The only player who plays a double bank. His creativity makes him one of one
From the Philippines. Efren Reyes has lifted the sport to another level. Thank you, Efren for your dedication and passion for the sport.

I like the videos but about one video is all i can get through with that ridiculous gasp sound track. it is very annoying.
Yes, it kind of spoils the videos having that fake sound affect added to it. I don't know why it's so annoying but it is to me.
i dont mind, overall they did a good job here
Would you please get rid of all the extra silliness that pops up on the videos. Who needs this crap?! Are we children?!
Reyes is the greatest legend of all legends. Nobody ever comes close to his prime-time level.

When Efren's at the board, his opponent can be rest assured in taking a walk and returning after having some snacks in the canteen...
This was nice to watch. Just good pool and those stupid edits to a minimum. Keep up the good work! Best wishes from Finland!

Pov when white ppl too stupid:
Watch got way too excited overpowered his shot.
Great billiards
Be it known that Efren 'bata' Reyes is a Filipino pool player...
When Efren have to look for other jobs because no one wanted to play against him and to fake a name as Cesar Morales just to play... that is saying something.
...HAD to look...
So he's a nobody you say young fellow.
Disrespecting Efren
Was your first mistake
I Don’t play pool but how could Wetch make that kind of mistake at the end?
What size table are they playing on ?
Looks like your normal 9' x 4 1/2 ' table!
Pressure
Who're the announcers in the background?
nothing like, a give it to me.😢😮
Efren is a GOAT
The caption that says "he's nobody", is stupid!!!!! Believe me, Jimmy Wetch would never think or say that.
EFREN REYES GOAT!!!
Pressure got to him made the mistake.
Well that was heart breaking for wetch.😭 to scretch it after the last dtripe ball yikes.
Bro, don't need to put those words on Efren's opponent. They never said it.
We all knew Efren is a beast. So stop it!
He's older now, how is he looking so young?
What an unforgivable mistake
The luck of a champion. Everything is good to win.
wow, self deleting shot, can’t believe a pro would have made that mistake even a stop shot would have worked, but he had to show off!
You meant…..Championship? Not championCHIPS😂🙄oh dear😂😂
Philippines
Where did he say he’s a nobody ? Unless I missed that bit
It was his thought! Thanks for watching.
