I just cannot believe there are so many grumpy comments! Can't viewers just appreciate this talented lady sharing her expertise! I am dismayed. I would think that comments like these would knock her confidence and make her stop sharing. That would certainly be the way I would feel. And why do ladies have to repeat negative comments levelled at her for the filming of her work. Seriously shocked.
After not doing appliqué for many years I picked up a project yesterday and was going to quit, but after watching this video I am going to try your starch method and try again….the small curved pieces were a challenge, but you make it look so easy…thank you for a great tutorial
Very informative video, Kerry. I always freek out when I have to take out the freezer paper, but you gave me the courage to do it and it works just as you demonstrated. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video. I tried this method for my very first attempt at applique - a few leaves. I didn't need glue as they were small. I am thrilled, so thank you so very much.
Stunning and so clever. I agree with others that your hand is in the way but the tutorial is so good that I can figure out what I can't see. Beautiful work. You have inspired me. Thank you x
I have a Clover mini iron that I have used with great success but not something this finicky. Thanks for the inspiration. I have been trying to figure out a way to do "cheater" Hawaiian applique and looks like I have found a way! For all those who like to complain see Jennifer Bosworth video on Shabby Fabrics channel. Same method but or as fine little curves. That video is how I learned.
She has another video that shows how she does it with full shots of her working along. I think this one is specific to tight inner curves. I find all her videos very helpful.
Like the other comments, your hand was in the way and I could not see what you were doing. Your explanation was good and it seems like a good technique. I wish you would re-record with the camera on the other side.
The fern that you iron on your fabric, is that freezer paper ? Because it's stick to the fabric. I am sorry to ask but I listen the video two times and I didn't hear or read it. I am French speaking so sometimes, I miss some detail like this. Thanks for your video tutorial and wow, the ferns and all that quilting is marvellous! Very very good work.
Would of liked to see more without your hand in the way. Maybe the camera in front would o worked better. But what a wonderful way you did this and the end result is stunning.
Best footage of the technique is for about 15 seconds at 6:17, as well as how she removes the paper and glues it down to the foundation piece at 11:52.
I have a problem with the typing of what they are saying. Every video that i really want to see what they are doing i cant see because that typing is in the way its so aggravating
Excellent teaching. You inspire confidence. If I may I have one criticism. The person doing the video needs to be in a better position. At that angle, your hand is in the way and the stylus work is not visible. That's a pretty necessary part of the skill. I would have liked to have seen that part.
This may as well be an audio-only tute. It is completely useless as an instructional video as the procedures are blocked by the "instructor's" hand. Amazing.
I found another of your/her videos that showed the technique clearly. Thank you! I tried it today, and it will be a long time before I can finesse it like it is shown. 😂
She is using freezer paper; she adds the starch because it makes the fabric limp so it shapes more easily. But I totally understand how people missed that information - her hand blocks what she is doing. It would be nice if she came back and replied to the countless comments to that effect.

Ignore all the complainers! Great tutorial. I learned something new and thank you for taking the time to do a great video for free!
good
As a very new beginner I was able to learn from your tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you I had forgotten about this method, regards from Australia.
Thanks for this video! Very helpful even if we cannot see every bit of what you did. We get the general idea! Thanks!
Thank you ♥ The fern looks perfect. You make it look so relaxing .
Lovely. All of it. 💕 Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share - with total strangers 😊
Thank you for this video. I tried this method for my very first attempt at applique - a few leaves. I didn't need glue as they were small. I am thrilled, so thank you so very much.

Nice hands and ironing … the work you did I couldn’t even see
Very nice and beautiful work ❤
Thank you. I’ve been struggling with deep curves.
So brilliant, you have really inspired me, can't wait to start. TFS!!
She has another video that shows how she does it with full shots of her working along. I think this one is specific to tight inner curves. I find all her videos very helpful.
This is so awesome!! I have always fought with deep or sharp curves. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your method. Definitely gonna try the corn starch!
I have this iron. Can't wait to put to use the information I learned from this tutorial. Thanks
Where may I get an iron ? Please
Very well done! Enjoyed all your handy tips and will try to the same as you showed in video. Thank you :)!
STUNNING..Is the only word to describe your work.
Espectacular una verdadera profesional en su trabajo, he aprendido mucho hoy mirando este vídeo. Gracias señora
nice technique, I've never thought about using starch that way.
Thats a cute little iron ^_^
Also, thanks for the video, now I know how to make details like this for my quilts :)

I like the video and the way you have explain step by step is not deficult
Thank you for this tips. Love it!
Nice job glad I got to see this . Well I'm out to get a tiny iron now!
Great tutorial. Thank you!
Great Tutorial! So helpful! I've been struggling with turning appliqué
That’s incredible, your are talented
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful.
Like the other comments, your hand was in the way and I could not see what you were doing. Your explanation was good and it seems like a good technique. I wish you would re-record with the camera on the other side.
Think you should remake your video so we can see what you're doing!
Oh how i wish the camera was on the other side of you when your pressing this piece.
Hello, I am impressed with the delicacy of doing the applique. I would like to try this kind of delicacy in applique.
Amazing!
Excellent demo - perhaps next time you could move the camera to the other side so we could see what you were doing while you were doing it!
Beautiful!
nice stellato and pretty blue iron. ever think to put camera on the other side.
Thanks
Ooi
Stunning
it might be a good tutorial. we can see everything but the work she's doing with her hands
nice technique

Like the others, I would like to be able to see without your hand in the way. thanks.
I was wondering how you're going to get that freezer paper out of there. Great job!
What kind of iron is that?
Best footage of the technique is for about 15 seconds at 6:17, as well as how she removes the paper and glues it down to the foundation piece at 11:52.
great! thank you)
Will that tiny metal iron work? Seems like it would. Does it get hot enough?
Forget my question, I finally find the answer but continue your good work! Will you sew all the appliqué by hand or by machine??
Very nice tutorial, can yolu please tell the model of the tool. you are using for ironing?
Meral'in Tezgahı Dritz Prym Dritz Petite Press Portable Iron - Sewing Supplies - Irons, Steamers & Accessories at JOANN
q hermoso, q tipo de pegamento utilizo para el molde y la tela. gracias
Bendiciones.
Unfortunately what I needed to see was hidden by camera angle. Hands are blocking view.
I agree cant see do to her hands in the way
Difficult to see the turning/starch method because she is "left handed."
I have a problem with the typing of what they are saying. Every video that i really want to see what they are doing i cant see because that typing is in the way its so aggravating
Hi what glue and thread do you use? Good video thank you
hola hola desde colombia con amor...por favor que tipo de liquido es el que aplicas antes de planchar las curvas del aplique?
What a very cool method. Too bad we couldn’t really see what you were doing...
i love it
What brand of little iron are you using
Podria decirme que pegamento utilitza. Gràcies, és precioso.
Perfeito!
The angle is off but it's still a good video, but who is that iron made by pleases?:-)
Onde compro esse ferro de passar?
Excellent teaching. You inspire confidence. If I may I have one criticism. The person doing the video needs to be in a better position. At that angle, your hand is in the way and the stylus work is not visible. That's a pretty necessary part of the skill. I would have liked to have seen that part.
Can't see what her hands are doing. Camera needs to move to a different location.
What kind of starch spray you are using?
Boa noite onde compra esteferrinho de passar.?
Is there a difference between kitchen freezer paper and CJenkins freezer paper?
Very intetesting tutorioli want to know the paper thst u iron
were'd you get that iron?
I'm italian very beginner. Could you tell me where i can buy the " paper" and the Little iron? I nave a prym One bit it's too big
Donde se puede comprar esa mini plancha.
My shapes are much tighter they have like 1/8” between curves how do I do that?
Everything is hidden , move the camera so it face you.
Finished watching after camera's angle not changed.
Ty try unbelievable
Looks like she's using a Fritz Petite Press iron
Unfortunately, your camera angle does not allow us to see how you use the stiletto and iron to create the pressed applique piece.
What's name of that starch?
I wish I could have seen what you were doing with your stiletto..your left hand blocked the view.
I agree.
Can't see a thing!! Such a shame! The left hand is completely blocking the camera's view!
where to buy the small iron - the brand is...
I think it's Dritz.
can not see what you are doing
This may as well be an audio-only tute. It is completely useless as an instructional video as the procedures are blocked by the "instructor's" hand. Amazing.
and how to make the fusible glue
K Challo you can buy fabric glue online. washes out just fine
We can’t see a darned thing.
Missed much because your left hand hid what you were doing with the stiletto. But what I did see looked great.
I was beginning to think I was the only one who observed this. As a total beginner, I would have liked to see the stiletto action. Thanks.
I found another of your/her videos that showed the technique clearly. Thank you! I tried it today, and it will be a long time before I can finesse it like it is shown. 😂
Your camera is in the wrong place. Your hand is in the way.
I found the iron, t b ey sell it at JoAnns
funny looking iron.....lol if you just use freezer paper, you can cut out the starch
She is using freezer paper; she adds the starch because it makes the fabric limp so it shapes more easily. But I totally understand how people missed that information - her hand blocks what she is doing. It would be nice if she came back and replied to the countless comments to that effect.
It should have been very interesting if could help Deen what you we're doing.a All i have noticed was your hand instead of the deals.
Dritz, not Fritz. Bad autocorrect.
Couldn’t see a thing you did with your hand fully blocking everything. Disappointed.
Can't see, your hand is in the way. Did't like your video.
Vq
That was a pretty waste of my 13 minutes, your hand is in front of the camera for the most important parts!!! This is perfectly useless.
