Bringing you a new video EVERY Friday afternoon, there’s a lot to learn and explore!❣️ So let us know in the comments if there’s anything you want to see in the future videos!
Would like to see explanations and uses of the various lines of WonderFil threads, including videos showing threads being used for their various applications.
Great demo, thanks! You said we need appliqué pins but didn’t show them in use. I’m assuming they’re needed with more complex shapes, but I’m sure I’ll stick myself constantly as I learn this technique! Are there any best practices for pinning certain shapes? Thanks!
Would this method hold up for a blanket quilt as opposed to a wall quilt? I'm not very adept at machine turns and I'm much more accurate and uses to hand sewing everything. I'm planning a quilt for my daughter with rabbits which have a lot of tint, tight turns I'm not comfortable with doing by machine
It depends on the use of the blanket. For instance, if it's going to be the kind of blanket she takes with her everywhere, some of the appliqué will probably need some repairing over time. If it's just a blanket that stays on the bed, it should probably be fine.
Since you're doing it by hand, it's harder to measure the seam allowance. As long as the raw edge is tucked under, the seam allowance doesn't really matter.

Wow thank you so much! We appreciate hearing that :)
Thank you! This is exactly what I've been looking for to adhere my embroidery piece to another fabric without making it a satin stitch edge patch!
My mum finished all her hems with this stitch. Such great memories
Fantastic short and sweet! Exactly what I needed! Thank you!
I love this look best. I know it takes more time, but it just looks better every time I see other appliqué techniques I end up back with this one.
It sure is a cool technique! 😍
Thank you so for showing how easy this truly is. I am going to try to do this for myself!! Thanks again.

Good that was so easy
Good work... I love Applique too
Thank you so much!
Excellent video however I need some clarification on stitches. So you do one in appliqué then another in same place through the background. Thank you.
Nicely explained. Thank you :-)
You're welcome! Hope our video helped you learn something new :)
😮❤❤
Thank you
Very clear. Wondering what is the dream allowance for the shapes to be sown? Thanks very much.
Since it's done by hand, the seam allowance can be whatever you decide. It might fall around the 1/8" or 1/4" amount.
Does this work with t-shirt material?
👍
Thank you 😄👋🌼👏
Hello are you using only one thread or two. Thread is very thin but I could not tell. Thank you for video.
We just used one thread strand to do this.
What stitch did you use while making this applique swatch?

Please turn off the distracting background music! It’s so hard to hear your voice over the jingle. 🙏

What seam allowance Do you recommend
