I love it, submitted my order today for that exact one. A very non-aggressive elegant layout will work best for me. In a hospital setting, pulling out a Brous or Medford or Microtech can get some looks although I love them too.
I like that its alot like my Nymble which has become my main used knife. Little more simple and classy looking than the nymble but i do like the more opening option of the nymble.
with that large butt plate/backspacer, the maker could attach the pocket clip to that, which would make it really easy to make it reversible. I don't get why more makers don't use blocky backspacers this way.
I really like this, though I would’ve preferred a finger safe lock instead of a liner lock. The compression lock’s patent expired, so hopefully they might be considered for a V2.
Has anyone heard any updates on the planned delivery? Last was May / June from the latest email update. I'm pretty pumped about this because it is a simple straight forward design, and will be the second front flipper I have ever owned
I have been wondering why none of the Chinese OEMs have done anything in Magnacut yet. They obviously can get their hands on it as seen in this video, but I cant think of a single knife from the big three in China (Reate, We, Bestech). Whats that all about? People would buy it. Is there some kind of rule that they would be breaking if they did?
I love my lanyards. I make one for just about every knife I carry with any regularity. That said, I totally understand why people discount them. Do I need a pull on my knife? I mean.... does anything need a $300 box opener? Does anyone need a Dodge Charger to pick up the groceries and sit in traffic?
Lmao..pelican. my exact feeling on all things spyderco. Looks normally don't turn me off but I just can't get by the looks and feel of them. To me a knife is like my car or bike. When I walk away ii always hesitate and look at the lines etc. Same as for using knife. Are a wrx or yamaha perfect? Not even close but for me they are

Simple and graceful.
It also costs money to do prototyping and any subsequent re engineering. Which all results in a better tested product.

Magnacut comes out of the US…I’m thinking importing prices and supply/demand are the main reasons
