(Strange)” is a philosophical discussion about what has become ‘normal’ in modern society. Opening with a piano instrumental that then falls into a trap beat, both Agust D and RM make observations on the suffering and polarity seen throughout the world and how abnormal things have been deemed normal. From economic inequality disapproval to war/peace commentary, the song covers the issues both artists find noticeably prominent. The song heavily explores the consequences of late-stage capitalism. As a supply-and-demand system in overdrive, capitalism provides material wealth as an illusion. The song highlights how capitialism constantly anticipates the wants of the consumer before they’re even conscious of it. We are compelled to want things which we don’t need; and we continuing consuming new things in a feedback loop, until we are unaware of what we truly want out of life itself. What is “normal” becomes an utter lack of self awareness, and a society where people lust after trends and abandon their dreams. In order word, the one that seem like the "normal" or "different" one is turned into the outcast. It's like if there was light but the eyes were closed, then one can't see. But if one open their eyes and there's no longer any light. still can't see. So to open ones eyes while the world close its eyes would be the same as closing it when the world had somewhat open its eyes. Blinded and there's nothing one can do. So is it really strange? As RM said it's only strange that one would open their eyes in such situation (i.e. in the darkness). Also I love how their lyrics goes with each other but also contradicted.
I couldn't agree more with this lyrics...in my early teenage years I also had similar realizations...of you know the paradigns of life and how we all in a way have been conditioned to believe the things we do by the system we grew up in...It can really drive you crazy when you think about it .. What I think now is that we all will be (in some way ) involved in it , but hopefully (at least in my opinion) have a little courage to decide what kind of life we want to live.
I feel you

Here before the concert start
I was waiting for this !!!!❤️🌈🙆🏻♀️
I cried when I heard RM on this track
"The one who isn't sick in a sick world being treated as a mutant isn't strange to me; rather the one with their eyes open in a world with it's eyes closed- It's stranger to me that only they opened their eyes."
God DAMN
This song really hits hard.
Not only the truthful words stripped of pride, prejudice, and bias but the overall meaning behind the whole thing and the serious things being addressed. I seriously am so grateful for these two, and all of BTS, and I am glad that I am alive in the same generation as them. I only wish that I would've learned about them sooner, and been able to support them from the beginning. But everything happens for a reason.
I hope if you're reading this that you know that you are worth it and your are beautiful.
I Purple You 💜
Seriously they are lyrical geniuses i swear such an eye opening lyrics with that sooo good bgm

That piano... 😍 This whole song is a vibe!
My two kings rm and suga my best rapper idol omg
