@@imariesjustin look into ai created websites. You just upload pictures, and ai will make it for you. The one I saw was super cheap too like 14$ a year. Can’t remember the name, but it’s still useful information. Wish you the best of luck 🤞

You should be sourcing things for your business, researching the areas you want to go in or what is around that area and the best times and client potential, etc. And Practice, Practice, Practice, and perfect your products, etc, take photos of them etc for your website. Websites don't take months but you can always add and improve on them as you go. Also, weather, major events upcoming, etc.

Secondly, maybe just maybe you can trade on someone's property or car park while you are waiting. Here, we can get a food truck, get the council to inspect it, and pass the food industry standards and trade on private property without permits until a permit is issued then can move to a location on the streets. Just an option.

Here's the problem with what I'm looking to do. I live outside the middle of nowhere, there are 5-6 food trucks that service 2 towns and we barely have 3000 people split between them. I could pick anything because there is no competition. The local restaurants are old Mexican and also old Mexican which everyone is openly tired of, the 3 in the main town are taco or burrito trucks owned by the same family, and the one in the county capital is Hamburgs.... So, there are no competition on that market. I'm thinking smoked meats (extremely popular but almost always extremely over priced and they end up shutdown in under a year) or Asian anything which lasted forever until they got caught by ICE and food safety.

It varies from state to state, but unless you're selling cottage goods you'll need to prep your food in either a commissary kitchen or in some states you can prep on the truck if you have a 3 compartment sink.
Question. I feel the Pareto Principle is inefficient here. If 20% of the menu makes up for 80% of the sales, that means the other 80% of the menu makes up 20% of the sales. If we are capable of producing a product that's worthy of making up for 80% of sales, than it seems inefficient to spend 80% of our prep time for products that will only make up 20% of the sales. This is why I assume some trucks just offer 1 or 2 items max. (Hot dog carts included)
That would work if you hire a good cook who can hold it down and has a passion for quality. Im getting an investor and hes 100% not wasting his time with me.
food trucks should still definitely care about quality but the overall experience and mindset of a food truck customer is vastly different than one at a restaurant. Just want to make sure people are mindful of that!
