about bass drum sliding, I used to carry the K-Brakes on Europe tours for just that reason. They slip on to the end of the bass drum spurs and they stop it from creeping away from you. The only problem was that I would sometimes forget to grab them after the hit.

I understand that feeling of guilt. Not from a content creator perspective, but more from the general sense of obligation and not wanting to let others down as a result of that. I struggle with that, in my own perspective of life as well. I'm sure it's magnified immensely given your situation. The only thing I could think of is turning it into a blog of some sorts if you feel compelled to try and do both at the same time, or a second channel that is more geared towards that specific endeavor. That, or just lock yourself into a room and make no apologies for following your internal drive to create. Either way, we all have a limited amount of moments here, make no apologies for following your intuition and self.
Hey man, your balance between being a musician vs. being a content creator is simply a time management issue! So a few things that I do which have helped me tremendously are: 1) Just force yourself to start the task when you have decided that it is the thing you need to do now. 2) If you have to commute, or even walking around in your own space, plan your walking path in order to accomplish the most tasks/get the most necessary items in the shortest, most efficient trip. Same goes for how to carry the most things, of course. 3) Mentally mark anything accidental or otherwise that made your workflow 0.01% more efficient (no small is too small), and mentally commit to using that mechanic or technique forever. 4) Take breaks every 1-3 hours and go outside for 10 minute-15 minute sessions in mostly direct sunlight. Use that time to reflect on the work you just did, or planning the work you are about to do. At the end of the day, the best way to manage your time, is by reducing the amount of time a task will take. I hope some of this sounds fresh to your ears, bro. I'm trying to shred like you one day!

Funny story - my bsnd had our label sshowcase years ago and my bandmates locked the keys in the car. I had everything I need except my in ears in my backpack. Had to play it iPhone ear buds and it was a rough gig. Still got signed. Idk why.
