Thank you Nas, you are a big brother, to so many of us. I have two Nas stories I would like to share. The year was 1998 I just graduated high school. I went into manhattan to shop with a friend, we were headed to NIKE town, on the way we stopped in a record store directly across the street from NIKE town, and while sifting through the shelves I saw an illmatic cd for 9.99, and was so excited I had already purchased illmatic three times in cassette format, but those illmatics would disappear, so I bought the illmatic, and my friend and I walked across the street to NIKE town, as soon as we were walking into NIke town NAS and like three people were exiting, and I was like Nas I just bought this album there is no way, you have to sign this and he was cool as F, and he signed it one love. The other story was at the Music factory record store on Jamaica when it was written dropped, we took off from summer school to wait in line because Nas was signing autographs there. So we wait , finally it is our time. The had him in like a back area of the store, so I walk back there and all I see is this person who looks like a 12 year old boy, so I ask him where is Nas? and he is like right here fam, with this cool ass laid back voice, and I am like no Nas the rapper, where is Nas the rapper, then my eyes focus, and I realise it was Nas, he was laughing .he just looked wild young, and at the time I was in high school so if he looked young to me, you know he looked young. He was wearing a Marshall Faulk rams Jersey blue Carhart Jeans and construct timbs, no cap.
