Personal opinion, but I feel as if Nas, especially early Nas, is the greatest MC to ever touch the mic. I love BIG, Big L, Mobb Deep, Scarface, Masta Ace, all of em. Nas just gives me that raw emotion in almost every song. I find myself breaking down his lyrics as if studying poems. Like an onion going deeper layer by layer and becoming more fascinated with each new thought learned. Truly beautiful.

No, Deja Vu was confirmed to be made during the development of It was Written along with Everything is Real, Understanding and Life is a Dice Game but were later scrapped.
The only songs that were Pre-Illmatic (1991-1992) were Nas Will Prevail, On The Real and Just Another Day In The Projects.

@joey That was in an interview Nas was doing in response to not caring about Jim Jones trying to diss him. Nas was just mentioning a few names that would make him nervous like Pac,Big and even Canibus, and how he would have to go all out if they were going to battle. But, that's something anyone would say about the great MS's that they respect.
