My playlists are filled to the brim with great albums from this year!
Public Enemy and NWA put me on back in the late '80s and early '90s. HipHop was everything to me growing up... the 2000s were rough, but HipHop is in the most beautiful place it's been, creatively, in over 20 years!

This part sounds like Nas back in 99' when he was experimenting with a more commerical sound, but when he actually nailed it(like You Won't See Me Tonight or K-I-S-S-I-N-G tier). I wish we got just 20 more seconds of that beat and flow

There was a period in my life when I left Hip-Hop after growing up in a home with R&B and Rap, I found Hip-Hop that way. When I was searching for myself, trying different things, trying to search for myself; I felt I lost a crucial piece of me over 12 years. My drive, my stance, my goals, my identity. Left them all. I'm finding those again and Hip-Hop has definitely been a large part of that, for real. I appreciate you Hip-Hop, I appreciate you Nas. So do millions of, some day billions and trillions, more people. Out here spreading what some of us need
