No it shouldn’t have, they just should have saved some of the material for later installments and added in some more traditional MCU flavor. The Disney+ series as good as some of them are still don’t feel movie quality and I wouldn’t want Eternals to be Cinematically downgraded
Remember what happened to the previous group of unknown super-beings when their movie was converted into a show. It was a disaster(INHUMANS). I am glad this is a movie.
Yep, to this day I'm not really sure if I saw the dark world or not. I can remember some scenes, so I think yes, but I probably gave up half way since it sucked so much.
Many people have this misconception that Kumail got asked to be ripped for the film but that was actually not the case. He's stated that's something he chose to do himself and he wanted to get into such shape in general and not just for a film.
I loved the movie. Yeah, it was slow and not like other MCU fast action packed scripted movies but it was beautiful, the cast were great tbh. Just that, I felt like the movie was slow and kinda calm and quite. But we can understand, it's just the beginning. My favorite part of the movie was The 2nd end credit scene of Black Knight and The Blade. That whispers from the ebony Blade, was creepy. 🔥
i really liked this movie. the grandness of the movie with the visuals overshadowed the flaws. There ARE flaws in this movie but the bi-polarness is too much
Sersi is based on Circe from the Odyssey who had magical powers of transformation. Makkari is Mercury (Roman name for Hermes). If you look up all the different Eternals, not just the ones in the movie, there are more recognizable names from various mythologies
I love this movie, production wise, I think it is the best made mcu films, the CG look so good and at the right amount. Plus with that they use real set make it look fabulous. And it look so grand too. The moral of this movie is pretty good. And it doesn't have like PURE evil characters, and it make you think who is the good guys here, and all side have their reasons that aren't just "I'm evil, so I'm gonna do evil things".
I believe druid was the one who betrayed the group in the comics. I think the movie change that to make it a twist for comic readers. That’s what I heard, I didn’t read the comic.
They should have also mentioned how kingo doesn't affect the plot really except in one scene to explain why sprite tags with ikaris. He is not even in the climax. His only useful contribution apart from that was that private plane and a good sidekick. He is that inconsequential that nobody even bothers to mention his lack of action to help either side😂😂
It's not just the color palette that is different, the story is quite different as well. I'm not a fan of the comics either but at least it makes a bit more sense.
If this was a Disney Plus show instead, it could of fleshed out these characters. Though the Cersei part with GoT and Angelina Jolie not knowing how to use a toaster got me.
3:04 Not really I mean... Makkari sounds a lot like Mercury who is the god of speed in Roman mythology and the fastest planet in our solar system. So it works

Driug in the comics scares Loki. That's how evil that dude is. The one who cared most about the humans was Icaris and Serci is more of a hedonist.
I still say this should have been a Disney Plus series first with introducing each character, their relationships with each other, their dynamic with one another, and it ends with a lead up to the events that would go down in the film, then have the movie be about them finding out about Ajak, them discovering their true purpose, Icarus' betrayal, and stopping Tiamut's immergence. The battle sequences and the shots of Arashim the celestial were great for the big screen they look fantastic on imax. But we needed that time with each character to get to know them well before the big events happened, we would have cared more about them becuase we would have had a series dedicated to each one before we find out the truth. I don't blame the director or team behind it, it was a big risk and a huge story to take on but I think Disney missed the mark on deciding for it to be one film knowing how huge the story is. The movie isn't perfect but the casting is fantastic, I would have loved to spend more time with the other characters like Gigamesh, Makari, Kingo, Druig, and even Ajak. I liked the characters and I think I would really liked them a lot more and cared even more if I'd really got to know them more. This is why Avengers works, it's like Marvel forgot why you introduce characters in different movies first then bring them together for the assemble movie.
Well a story loses its entire impact if you decide to cram it in a 2 hour time frame instead of allowing it to be fleshed out and considering the scale, number of main characters, new themes and ideas this story had to offer, it needed that time and length.
The problem is not that they didn't have enough screen time to fit it all into the film. The problem is that even wih the long runtime and large amount of characters, we learn very little about them. The deviants could have been left out of the movie entirely seeing how much they actually did, and the eternals themselves have overall very little personality. Overall, so much could have been cut out of the movie that saying that it needed to be a series doesn't even feel like a valid excuse
"Eternals should be a series." and there's Inhumans... Whenever Marvel tries to do a serious movie featuring a group, they have less luck with it. Let's just hope they will do better with the X-men or the F4.

@@stevenbrock528 Which is why them doing nothing to protect the population from an outside Deviant threat (that the Celestials were well aware of) even more confusing. They could have just said "Thanos landed on Earth 15 minutes before he snapped and dipped. We had no time to get to Wakanda and were scattered across the globe." Also, why is Arishem still using Deviants when they know they are flawed? Eternals only exist to kill the Deviants after they kill the other predators. This cycle has repeated over billions of years. Celestial humps planet, Celestial delivers Deviants to planet to kill predators, Celestials deliver Eternals to kill predators (deviants). Why do they keep making Deviants after the first failed cycle? Just send the Eternals. I enjoyed the movie but this was making something simple into a needlessly complicated broken system.
I'm glad I gave the movie a shot, I liked it more than the Spider-Man movies. A lot of the MCU movies are getting too formulaic. The last two Avengers were like a after school special where they had to make a show work that had too many characters from different cartoons.
I grow weary of hearing the term 'fan service'. This is a concept that--like White Alpha Males--has been created to FORCE people to look down on themselves. When films started their entire purpose was to bring in people that they could MAKE FANS of their IP. I mean, look at films from the early days of sound--Films like Of Human Bondage (Bette Davis). At the time the film was being made, Bette Davis was all but unknown, and she took the role HOPING that even though the character she was going to play was one that EVERY MAJOR Star at the time refused to play because they considered it uncouth and gross, the Public would see her in that role and recognize her TALENT. It worked and she went on to win two Oscars and was the first to be nominated ten times in a row. Fast Forward to 1939's Gone With the Wind. During the casting process they auditions hundreds of women to play Scarlett, but only settled on a woman from England which when it was revealed in the Southern States caused quite a stir. HOWEVER the only man ever considered for Rhett was Clark Gable. By giving (fan service) what the readers of the book wanted in this casting choice even those in Southern States gave the film the chance and, well, the rest is history. In the 1940s Australian actor Errol Flynn--fresh off his turn as Robin Hood in 1939--was being scene as an action star that Hollywood could depend upon to bring in the dough. He was cast in all the expected roles for an action star and Warner Bros. raked the money in left and right. He did NOT try to horn into OTHER TYPES of roles, I mean you don't see him in films where he is flying around the world in a balloon--Around the World in 80 Days--or films where he is a father of 5 kids with a loving wife and a 9-5 job as an insurance salesman--even though casting him that way would 'subvert audience expectation'. No, the studio had figured out the types of roles the FANS would accept him in and kept putting him into those roles and being successful. You saw this across the decades--Lana Turner in the 1950s as a sex symbol and femme fatale. Even Marilyn Monroe found a niche for her talents. So, to call something 'fan service' simply because people turn out to see it ala Spiderman No Way Home in droves--as they did also with Top Gun: Maverick is a slam against fans. Fans like the droves of people who kept Star Wars merchandise one of the top selling collectables until the Sequels. This is a lesson Hollywood should remember since we now know that they are using movies to INDOCTRINATE viewers into rejecting what they see and hear for themselves in favor of what they are TOLD. You can't indoctrinate people if they don't show up.

I thought the movie was all right. Didn't deserve the hate that it got and I'm glad that people enjoyed it. My personal gripe with it was the fact that the Mexican/Latina Eternal was the first one to be killed and also killed off-screen until we saw show how she died later. You have Salma Hayek who is like one of the most well-known and acclaimed Latina actress of all time and you have her be killed off instantly which she hasn't been featured in the movie that much. 🤦🏻♂ It kind of annoys me how Marvel treats Latinos in their movies, like the first Latino character introduced in the MCU is literally a stereotype. And it's also weird how they keep casting Latina actresses as non-human characters like Salma as Ajak of course, Tessa as Valkyrie, and Zoe Saldana as Gamora. This bothers me since they gave us movies like Black Panther and Shang-Chi and they haven't gave us a Latino/a/e led movie yet even though we make up one of the biggest moviegoing demographics. Marvel better give us a Latino/a/e led movie just to make up for the subtle disrespect they have given us. There's a reason why I'm more of a fan of Star Wars than the MCU because of the strong representation it has given us compared to what Marvel has done through Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron being one of the leads of the sequel trilogy, Diego Luna's Cassian Andor being one of the leads of Rogue One and getting his own show soon, and last but not least, Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian with his show being the first Latino/a/e led Star Wars property.
Don't say sorry for not liking a crap marvel film. The only pretty good film since Endgame was Shang-chi. The shows on Disney plus are boring with crap writing. It like watching a six hour end credit scene. And, the thing with Kang planning everything out. Totally screwed all the characters sacrifices because Kang took away their choice. What an especially dire movie. I didn't relate to a single character, the plot was a tedious, by-the-numbers shambles and to be honest I wish they had all been destroyed within 5 minutes. Karun Patel played the only interesting character and I hope we see more of him in GOOD movies.
No Way Home does have a lot of fan service in it, and I think it works. Because there’s a lot of MCU fans not seeing the other Spider-Men films. If Tobey, Andrew and the villains didn’t reference anything from their movies, Tobey’s back, Max’s old personality, the villains fate, or uncle Bens speech, then the MCU fans would hate it, complaining on these villains and other Spider-Men not given enough information about they’re own life, the fans would think it’s pointless. But add in information for them about the characters, then everything is alright. Think about it.

Eternals was really good. It's ok. It's something new. People are so used to the Avengers that don't usually like something else. Also this movie was super rushed. Like Eternals are amazing & all of the comics were too. There's a huge scope for betterment. But it's definitely not the worst movie.

well druig is EVIL in the comics so of course we hate him. they made them all good in the film cause they are a "super hero team" ugh. MAKE IT ACCURATE MARVEL! and give me an angela solo film series thank you
show me a marvel movie thats unique/different and ill show you a fool who's drinking the kool-aid. sip sip
I thought of you when I initially watched this. They were a lot nicer about Eternals than they were Hawkeye.
Best movie...dont see it as a mcu movie
No way home was the worst movie and the movie before it was bearable but they sucked
Well it really sucks! So don't worry 😅
Eternals was really good. It's ok. It's something new. People are so used to the Avengers that don't usually like something else. Also this movie was super rushed. Like Eternals are amazing & all of the comics were too. There's a huge scope for betterment. But it's definitely not the worst movie.
how you can turn someone into human anyway, shes a robot and need a soul to become human, did sersi just inject soul into her.
Cosmic energy from Arishem. Which is basically magic.
@@toshtao1 lol
@@jacklarkson4505 Oh, and by the way cosmic energy in Marvel comes from the One Above All, which is basically the Christian God. So yes, it's sort of a soul from a comic book sense. :)
Loved Eternals get over it it’s a movie not a series lol
You’re right which is why I’m over the movie lels
Pitch meetings did it better
You both taking way too long for releasing the peacemaker ep 4 reaction .
I loved the characters and actors, hated the story and execution.
Druig was super annoying for me personally
These characters didn't even remotely resemble their source counterparts
Eternal sucked. Biggest plothole- They all literally sat there and watched when half of the universe was literally wiped out. Why cuz of a order from a celestial whom they betray in the end just like that.
it's not hole. they didn't know whole truth, their leader didn't reveal all fully, there weren't events that would lead to it. or rather unsapping is what made them change their mind
Druid suck
Eternals was the worst marvel movie no doubt in it 😒😒
Such a BADLY written movie.. 3/10.
Second
You soooooooo missed the point on that.
First
You are first
First xD
Worst MCU movie of all time
