- This is a what if where Hideyoshi wasn't actually dead and shows up at Sekigahara. That turns this battle unique as none of the generics will now defect, however Ginchiyo and Yoshihiro are so displeased they defect instead. And they're right next to the main camp. So the battle actually gets much harder from that point as you have the Tachibana and Shimazu to deal with on top of the Eastern army charging you. Not to mention Masamune as reinforcements later. Alot of your allies will probably get defeated before you can get to them.
I love how the music changes into "Defensive Battle" when the battle turns into, well, defensive. That's one of my favourite tracks in SW2.
After the defence it turns into 'duel' soundtrack
Would be awesome to have a second dream in Edo castle huh
Mitsunari should have used that trick. After all, Jiang Wei used it
It's a creation scenario of the game not on the real world, on the real world also you can't impost hideyoshi's face
The Western Army's reaction upon seeing Hideyoshi alive: They're seeing ghosts.

Yoshihiro and Ginchiyo reaction to Hideyoshi being alive made me laugh.
🤣😂😄
Hideyoshi faked his own death to tested his diamyos loyalty, which led to one of the most important battle in the sengoku period. And then shows up in the said battle to beat the shit out of the traitors. What an absolute troll
Hideyoshi is one of my favourite characters to use in the game. Good speed, fast attacker and high Musou. I’d recommend buying all the skills first before attempting to play their story. That’s what I’ve done to my playthroughs. I’d wait until I have enough gold to buy their skills and then play their story modes. Much easier than having to deal on luck to acquiring those skills.
What's also great of him is that he can create gold just from killing lower soldiers. Gold shouldn't be a problem
He's also such a great character personality wise. He's both friendly and happy, yet ruthless and cunning when at war
The Asano and Kuroda should have special talks too, they were also close to Hideyoshi.
the Warriors series need more love
question why did he keep changing his last name in between Hashiba and Toyotomi in this game?
He was born in a peasant family Kinoshita with the given name Toukichiro. He changed his family name into Hashiba at some point after gaining successes (most notably during Siege of Inabayama with the whole "one-night castle" thing, which is unfortunately not seen in SW2) during his service under Nobunaga. He also took a new given name Hideyoshi. The family name Hashiba was named after Niwa Nagahide ("wa" and "ha" are written similarly in Japanese) and Shibata Katsuie ("shiba"), while the given name Hideyoshi was named after Akechi Mitsuhide ("hide") and Mori Yoshinari ("yoshi"). These men were four of Nobunaga's most notable generals by the time Toukichiro got the inspiration for his new name.
After securing his power in the Imperial Court after Nobunaga's death and defeating or subjugating many of his rival daimyos, he arranged himself to be adopted into Konoe family (one of Five Regent Houses and one of the highest noble family related to the Imperial Family) so he can legally succeed the Imperial Regent Konoe Sakihisa. However, the Imperial Court instead gave him a new family name Toyotomi when he finally became Imperial Regent.
Due to his peasant background, he's ineligible to become Shogun, but he can become Regent by arranging the aforementioned adoption. Shogun controlled military government while Regent controlled political government. Hideyoshi did everything he could to ensure there would never be a shogun during his lifetime so he can control both.
Wow after defeat in Korea imjin war now sekigahara

Well it's bit little different to His Wife's Dream stage :/
Hideyoshi died??
Hideyoshi did conquer japan for a while with Mitsunari and Ieyasu on the same side at first; but he died sometime after that, and opposing values caused the separation and the formation of Western (Mitsunari) and Eastern (Ieyasu) sides.
