I would say in DW4 the hardest one is that last battle against shu. It was a huge battle, with the traps, and the forest, and the juggernauts.
I loved the music and aesthetic of this game. I love the maps and the way the bases look. But what hurt? The game was the amount of clone characters and the new renbu system.
I swear DW6 has the best ost of all DW games, even though i didn't really enjoy the game

Hybriid xL I remember in DW3 where you needed the whole fucking imperial army to defeat Lu Bu and reach Hi Lao Gate,after that if you were low level you needed every single soldier to defeat Dong Zhuo.
Now that's the DW I loved most because you were part of an army advancing not an Army yourself.

Using Zhao Yun is easier than using Zhang Fei in Yi Ling,But Zhang Fei Special Max Renbu Attack really packs punch.
In dw 6, zhu ran, guan suo, and guan xing are not real officers. In dw 8, they are real, playable characters.

I still have this game. But I never played the 7 or 8. They're just not the same anymore. But the problem with this one was they never put Jiang Wei as a character. He was one of my favorites.
Dynasty Warriors 6 is pretty dissapointing to the likes of Dynasty Warriors 5. The graphics are much better, the attacks were quite weird, but the soundtrack kicks ass.
Yeah it was definitely a disappointment. It did not have a full roster, no 4th weapons, not as many stages as 5, no Xtreme Legends version and getting the rare horses like the red hare now come randomly. But the only upside about it was the health and musou system was still normal and it would max out by Lvl 50 and the skills system would make the game easier.

+koolaid93 Not sure if it's too late, but if you see in the video at 16:47 one of the enemy officers says something and you hear a gong, then everyone surrounds you, that's a duel. If either one of you exits the circle the duel ends. I think this dueling system was quite cool.

I don't see why everyone is hating on Dynasty Warriors 6 while in fact it is one of the best games I have ever played, I liked how they changed a lot of stuff which makes the game look new.

Late 7 years, i tell you what, dw6 is the only dw series that doesn't follow the story, even Lu Bu has his own happy ending, that why Zhang Fei still alive, about why shu really mad at wu is because wu backstabing shu, it really make Liu Bei feel angry, CMIIW

Except you missed out the part where Liu Bei stole Jing Province and promised to give it back and yet never did. The Part where Guan Yu constantly berated Wu officials that came to politely ask for it back and the part where Guan Yu RAIDED wu towns and camps for supplies.
