Dynasty Warriors 5 had the most accurate portrayal of the actual gameplay.
Just you vs a whole army and that one final commander you have to take care of in the end.

You’d think Zhao Yun and Lu Bu were rivals from these openings but they literally have nothing to do with each other in the games lol
I don't think they ever met in the battlefield...like...ever...Exept in Orochi Warriors. ^^ (wich deserve to be way more flesh out and not just a get together game with extremely fun gameplay)

Cuz he is the poster guy and people champion, and at his first battle actually he is young and he is one of the warrior of shu that live for a long time.

I remember how fun unlocking intro edit mode was. Putting in fun mixes like all strategists or Zhang He instead of Diao Chan. Da Qiao breaking boulders etc.
I loved making all of them of Xiao Qiao or Meng Huo 😂

This was the first ever bad ass opening for the series hands down. This made me love all the over the top, 1v5000 fights the game has all throughout.
I feel like Koei has a dartboard with pictures of all the characters to pick who gets primary focus in the opening... and most of them are Zhao Yun

Dynasty 4 was my jam , I remember going out of my way , to find special weapon for each character and getting the best mount etc , it was epic .

Man seeing all of these openings really brought a tear to my eye nonetheless. Most especially DW2. I felt like a 7 year old again.
There's true story 21:28 when Zhao Yun save Baby Liu Chan Alone and fight with Cao Cao troops.

The strongest soldiers are those in DW5 Xtreme Legend. They ran along the cliff just go fight with Gan Ning lol. If it's any other soldiers, they would have just fall off
3 is Iconic. 5 is the best. 7 kicking the horse in the face is hilarious. While entertaining, I dislike how they got more ridiculous and fantasy as time went on.

Let's write a petition. They bring back Dynasty Warriors 3, same maps(maybe so more), music, voices, everything no extra weapons, no purchasable weapons. Slightly improved faces (maybe?), slightly improved movements (can climb mountains maybe even have an extra battle with ambushers atop mountains), and lastly maybe some improved graphics. DW6 banyak kena hate gara2 terlalu banyak ngerubah sistem, banyak playable character yang dihapus, sama storynya yang terlalu melenceng dari novel ataupun catatan sejarahnya, tapi justru gue juga malah demen 6 daripada 5 karena pertama kalinya series DW yang bisa renang dan manggil kuda, dan bener, sebelum adanya DW9, visualnya Diaon Chan di DW6 emang yang terbaik, bener2 cakep

Damn this makes me feel old. DW4 is the best IMO. Remember when Gan Ning, and Zhou Yu, Yuan Shao were actually decent. Guan Yu actually felt like Guan Yu

His musou or true musou gave me freakin goosebumps when he yelled out. (Guan Yu)
And Gan Ning's musou was the sickest in the series IMO.

DW 6 not the best game but the armor/costumes is thr best among other dw games..zhao yun silver knight armor and lu bu black armor design really thr best koei have created..
