The governor, the ministers and the president have tried hard enough to deal with this problem. but some people who live in the suburbs of Jakarta refuse to be moved and prefer to defend their place for various reasons. one of them is because they has lived there since he was a child and is a house inherited from his parents. Manila is not sinking, government doing urban planning, development and also in sewerage. Philippines transfered all mega cities outside metro manila like Clark City. There's a new airport, subway train, terminal buses, housing projects, business hub and a new business district uprising. 🇵🇭
It's easy to transfer businesses and build infrastructures outside Metro Manila to cater the greater Manila area because the islands are connected by bridges. We just need to ride public transportation to move from the province to Manila and vice versa. Indonesia's problem is that their islands are too much farther apart from each other that it is impossible to connect islands using bridges. You need to ride a plane or a boat to move from one island to another. Transferring businesses or government agencies to other island there means abandoning the former island. Jakarta has more poor families than the rich ones. It is impossible for them to travel via plane back and forth for their needs.

The governor, the ministers and the president have tried hard enough to deal with this problem. but some people who live in the suburbs of Jakarta refuse to be moved and prefer to defend their place for various reasons. one of them is because they has lived there since he was a child and is a house inherited from his parents. However, when it rains heavily, especially during the rainy season and early in the year, they blame the government for not being able to handle the floods that hit Jakarta. There was once a Jakarta governor who was good at dealing with flood problems and for several years during his tenure, Jakarta was not flooded. but the problem of misunderstanding made Jakarta choose the wrong leader. He had talked to the media if it was raining, let the water enter the ground, not be processed into the sea. Manila is not sinking, government doing urban planning, development and also in sewerage. Philippines transfered all mega cities outside metro manila like Clark City. There's a new airport, subway train, terminal buses, housing projects, business hub and a new business district uprising. 🇵🇭
Sana nga di magaya yung Manila jan
Kaya tigilan niyo na ang kantuan para hnd na dumami ang tao
It's easy to transfer businesses and build infrastructures outside Metro Manila to cater the greater Manila area because the islands are connected by bridges. We just need to ride public transportation to move from the province to Manila and vice versa.
Indonesia's problem is that their islands are too much farther apart from each other that it is impossible to connect islands using bridges. You need to ride a plane or a boat to move from one island to another. Transferring businesses or government agencies to other island there means abandoning the former island. Jakarta has more poor families than the rich ones. It is impossible for them to travel via plane back and forth for their needs.

The city is soo huge, it's like that scene from BladeRunner 2049 except with better lighting.
xponen_ No, its huge but disgusting. I would rather live in LA in Bladerunner 2047.
You know what the bad part about that comment is? the dystopian world of bladerunner actually looks nicer than this :,(
Leopold well, it’s actually famed for being a sinking city already! However.
I can’t find anything that talks about the cities size and weight as being the problem- it covers more global warming and natural disasters. No doubt that’s an adding problem but still.
@Leopold they're also sinking but slowed down since they have a better city plan.
But LA in BladeRunner 2049 is ten times better than this. Even dystopian future is better than Jakarta.
Let's say, Jokowi already took the best part contribute to overcome this issue by removing the capital to Borneo, yet many Indonesian people still strugling with unrelated reasons for retaining this incredible idea
They dont like to live in Pogun
After 4050:
Aliens:"there is a proof of civilization of humans by the sinked cities"
As the people who live and stay in Jakarta, I would to say thank you for your documentary videos, now I am very careful with the environment surround me, I wish people in Jakarta watch this and try to make a changes in their life's for the better jakarta, pardon my bad english :')
Thats Indonesia, Jakarta, the heart of Indonesia, the Capital, population is thick but the land is small, floods everywhere, and i think that its getting more poluted

@@naomitanizar2079 Naomi Tanizar The media responses through the public's demand aswell. You know, you can't blame the entire thing (apparently the goverment) for just those particular sides... There are still people in the HQ that are genuinely doing the heavy work while you guys are reading the news cover. I mean we can just contemplate on the internet but, oh how I wish the people doesn't act all cynical... On leaders, well... We'll see what they will do after that stupid matter.
Malaysia also faced a kind of similar situation, but instead of the ground 'sinking', the huge water stream from deforested highlands can quickly sinks the city like Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur will be a huge lake
Incorrect facts bro. Kuala Lumpur sinking not cause by deforestation but bad sewage and drainage.
