Congratulations to the development team on the release!
We genuinely appreciate the support
An incredible game! I bought it a few days ago and have clocked more than 24 hours playtime already. What Star Trek TNG, DS9 and VOY was to television scifi, this game is to space based civilization-type turnbased strategy. I can't wait for the upcoming DLC's and more in this series! God, I love this game!!!!!!
Much to busy to play games but it is good to see after 20 plus years that this game lives on. I still have the original game someone where hiding in the garage along with Sins of a Solar Empire.
That warms our hearts, its those fond memories that make it all worthwhile. We hope you and yours are all doing well
@@stardockgames I've been a fan of the series since GalCiv2. While I was disappointed with some of the changes of GalCiv3 (mostly because I felt it straddled the line between being faithful to GalCiv2 and being its own thing), my disillusionment is at an end with the release of the new game. However, here are some requests to make this game even better than it already is:
1. Re-add the good vs neutral vs evil dynamic but make it through a series of calculating choices. Perhaps contact w/ the Arnor and Dread Lords giving you dark magic?
2. Give us changing leadership akin to Stellaris; positions that could change via elections or other government types. For example, what if the Drengins and Arceans gain an aristocracy?
3. To add to this, perhaps factions could split or have revolutions. It would be interesting to see a rebellion from the Terran Alliance that is focused on military dominance or the Korath Clan forming itself.
Anyways, just a series of thoughts. God bless you!
I'm curious how much this game has improved since its last launch.
Same here. It doesn’t seem very different from the last few games.
The advertising email claims "several new canon alien civilizations, a new starship designer, a new battle system and much more." I'll wait for some reviews as usual to get a better picture of what's new/good.
It looks very similar to the previous release. Hopefully some nice improvements. Seeing this has given me an itch to play the old one now....
This Narrator sounds amazing
Looks good♑
Yeah who's the narrator? Pro voice actor, Jen Taylor Cortana voice ish
Cuando en español??
Still don't understand why people who got the first iteration of GalCivIV during EA are being forced to buy a new name. The disloyalty to people who supported the game and it's development is so sad to see.
Can you elaborate on this? “Forced”?
We've actually implemented a full key transfer system to support people who supported during EA forums.galciv4.com/518620
@@stardockgames Shouldn't have to re-pay for a game I had already paid for just because you decided to use AI at the last minute and thought "Well, let's just sell it as the 'real' version of the game instead of making this an update to the version that people already spent a bunch of money on and supported us through Early Access with".
Hello! We've actually implemented a full key transfer system to support people who supported during EA at no cost. I think you'll find that Supernova edition offers a suite of updates and features as well forums.galciv4.com/518620@@Mazzus21
@@stardockgames I have no desire to give you $16 more dollars for a game that I already spent $35 on. The fact that anyone thinks this is okay, and especially the explanation of "We didn't want to put a year old game on Steam so we decided to make a slightly newer version of the same game and charge everyone who bought the original version on Epic to transfer the key" is farcical. If the "Supernova" version were just a DLC for the original version of GalCivIV that released then it would've been fine. But the fact that the original version was just abandoned is absurd. I'm sure I'm in the minority with this but I lost so much faith in the studio because of the nonsense with this game and these different "versions".
Eugh, AI generated art and civilizations. No thanks
You know that AI art can be breathtakingly beautiful, and that using AI to generate a new faction/civilization/etc is likely to be just as good as if a human did it right?
If you think 'AI' means 'generic', 'uninteresting', 'poorly made', etc. or is somehow synonymous to say, the procedurally generated shite planets of Starfield - you obviously haven't been watching how far its developed and what its capable of.
Keep up with the times and stop being a luddite lol.
