Alexandra, This was great. I could not imagine anything you could tell me about adhesives that I didn’t already know.… But I was wrong. I do mat most of my cards and I struggle a bit trying to get them perfectly centered. (Truthfully I can’t even cut them perfectly and that shows up too.) But just yesterday I found myself having used liquid glue carefully taking my card front off of my matting piece so that I could reposition it a little bit more centrally. I have to tell you that I think your tip on the glue tape and making the little feet is just brilliant. I haven’t tried it yet but I will tonight!! Thank you!
I'd love to know how you craft every day & yet you always have a perfect manicure. I keep up with my nails, & they still look as if a small animal had gotten to them after a day in the craft room. :o)
I have seen the tear tape before and it is a great way to get your paper exactly where you want it. Wackt Tac used to make a vellum tape that worked. I've not seen the dot method before. I hope you know gow much your tips help us.
That last tip with the tape was really helpful!! I need to be able to line up the cardstock first, so this will make things SO much easier. Thank you!! 😄
Hey Alexandra & Greg....I use the same technique when using tear tape and it is a 'game changer' when it comes to adhering a straight panel. Regarding vellum adhesion, if I cannot find an easy way to hide the tape, I sometimes use the Xyron Sticker Maker so that when I run it thru the Sticker Maker it completely covers the back of the die cut shape and is therefore invisible. That works well but I find the refills for the Sticker Maker a little expensive so I was looking for an alternative method....thanks for the recommendation on what brand of vellum tape works. Thanks again!
I love having all sorts of adhesive. I love my Nuvo Deluxe. I have the vellum Plus tape runner....Adhesive seems the thing I buy the most of. I don't know why? :)
Oh I think these tips are great! I never thought of using liquid glue in dots! I'm definitely going to try this. I love using liquid glue so I have a little bit of time to move things around but I seem to always get a wrinkle here or there! Thanks so much for sharing these tips!
fabulous..thank you ! I have never had card stock ripple or wrinkle, ever. Have had problems with scrapbook paper and glue. just discovered the Nuvo glue from Betty, my Art Club teacher...and found the Art Glitter Glue last year. It is also wonderful adhesive. Have had problems with my 714 ATG gun lately. Have had it a good 10+ years, and only lately I have had to mess with the tape as the roll gets half way used.. no clue why this is now happening. Sometimes I've had to take the roll off and reverse it..?? once again, thank you for the fantastic review !
Great tips for choosing adhesive. I was wondering if you had any tips for embellishment placement? How much is too much when it comes to embellishing a card project?
I agree with Rucha. I love all the cool stencils that are out there and the beautiful glimmering things that you can use however cleaning them is sometimes a nightmare. I love almost everything Tonic . . . when it comes to their glimmer pastes (which have been out for a year or two ). even though they’re beautiful. After spending hours literally more than one hour trying to clean that stuff off the stencil, it’s just not worth it. I have also come very close to tearing a stencil that has very fine intricate pieces as I attempted to finally scrub them with a hard brush trying to get that nouveau paste off. I have found the new Gina K ones and the Brutus Monroe so much easier to clean off the stencil. I have also come very close to just throwing the stencils away when I was just on able to get it clean. The problem is I have like 12 of them then I own that I want to use. So yes please do a video ... any tips you have for cleaning that glimmer paste off the stencil would be highly highly appreciated.
Janie Sirak I lay down a few baby wipes, lay the dirty stencil on top, spray with water, use a baby wipe to scrub the top, use a second baby wipe to wipe off, use paper towel to dry it. Hasn’t failed me so far. Good luck!
I like to punch out leaves, trees, etc, to stick on letters and envelopes. But I haven’t figured out the best way to adhere them. When I’m trying to put glue on the leaf fronds, it’s very difficult to get it evenly and then it will squish out the sides when I press down. And using a tape runner doesn’t work well either. Any suggestions? Thank you.
After discovering glue lines on my son's wedding invites, (vellum to card) I panicked!! They were fairly detailed and didn't want to start from scratch so I got the brainwave of covering the glue line with washi tape...thrilled with the result....!!!
It really depends on what you want from the ink; for a black outline, Gina K Amalgam; for colored inks that a little harder, for blending distress oxide for general stamping scrapbook .com's hybrid range is great
Have had cards from UK with random dabs that may not be wrinkled but in time they fall to bits, so not convinced just glue works, I use tape and glue combo for extra lasting. Was so sad when card fell to bits in hands even though it obviously had lit so glue on it.
I still use a reasonable amount of glue just small dots but liberally will avoid wrinkles; its all about finding the right compromise and adhesive for the paper you are using
A couple of errors in the auto-captions cracking me up...! 😹 2:14 ~ This is the only tape runner I recommend using on your fella (i.e. vellum) 2:21 ~ Bitch you're just gonna add dabs like this (i.e. bits)
Would have loved it if you would have used much thinner paper. I use the backside (which is very thin) of stickerpaper..that is very hard to glue down .
These techniques will work on thin paper too, as i mentioned in the video think about the thickness as to how much glue you use; when using sicker release paper it is designed to not stick to things so you are going to need a solvent based glue on the glossy side
I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO GLUE PAER THAT WRINKLES WITH GLUE. LIKE A PIECE OF MAGAZINE PAPER STUCK TO Q PIECE OF WHITE PAPER COMPUTER PAPER FOR MAKING COPIES
Seems you keep making videos on repeat stuff .. Please let's see your card making .. Demonstrations would be great on a real card . We all can take glue , paints, markers ect. And scribble on paper

Seems the tear tape tip is hands down the winner! Absolutely brilliant. I love your videos. Thank you so much.

That tear tape tip is gold!! Thank you!!!
Ohh TYSM FS!! This is great!
I gotta find that one for vellum for sure.
That pull, fold with the tear tape is GENIUS!! THANK YOU!!

Great idea with the tear tape!! Using it from now on😊 thanks!
love the tip for using a tape and folding back corners
I liked the last technique especially for making a mini journal or putting on small pieces of cardstock on another piece. Thank you. Thumbs UP!

I would love for someone to demonstrate how to use a stamp platform on a page in a journal

Alexandria you are beautiful. Filled with so much knowledge. Thank you for sharing all of those great crafty tips and tricks.
Great idea with the tear tape.

I love you tear tape tip. I showed it to someone at a crop recently and they thought I was brilliant. Thanks again.
Great tips! Thanks for sharing these! :)
Love the glues you used, I appreciate this video and the information! HUGS!!!
When I’m layering cards, they end up warping! I’m using art glue. Will dotting the glue help with that? What am I doing wrong?
OH MY GOSH, TSM. Love the “tags” on the tape runner. And the vellum glue~~~~love,,,,,LOVE.
Which adhesive do you recommend for yupo onto card stock ?
Love, Love, Love the tip for taping card stock. It has always been a challenge to center the paper... Never again, using this great tip!
You usually only get wrinkles with a water based glue like PVA as it stretches the paper or card.
What kind of pen was used with tip number one
Awesome tip with the Tear tape.
Omg I love the glue tape tab hack so you can centre before sticking. Can’t wait to try that
I always enjoy your hints tricks and hacks etc and this one is the best!!!! Love it! 😻~Katz
and one of my favorites is rubber cement
The feet on the tape! Thank you!
After discovering glue lines on my son's wedding invites, (vellum to card) I panicked!! They were fairly detailed and didn't want to start from scratch so I got the brainwave of covering the glue line with washi tape...thrilled with the result....!!!
Fab idea!
Not bad for a novice!!! P.s. love the channel!!
With so many of the companies having their own ink pads, how di I decide which is best to buy.
It really depends on what you want from the ink; for a black outline, Gina K Amalgam; for colored inks that a little harder, for blending distress oxide for general stamping scrapbook .com's hybrid range is great
Very helpful, tyfs! I love how easy it was to see and follow what was going on in the video, all the best to you

WHAT WOULD YOU USE FOR PHOTO ALBULMS...TO STICK DOEN OLD PHOTOS
Life is so much easier with the pull and fold! Lol she says.. 😂
Please make a video of tips for cleaning stencils
great tips!
Awesome information! Thank you so much!
A couple of errors in the auto-captions cracking me up...! 😹
2:14 ~ This is the only tape runner I recommend using on your fella (i.e. vellum)
2:21 ~ Bitch you're just gonna add dabs like this (i.e. bits)

Great tips! Thanks!
