Did no one remember Broly doesn't have his tail either after his dad cut it off when he went in a rampage on the planet freeza found them on. Any of them could do it. Gohan could do it! They just implied in DBZ about them cutting it off and then never showed it on goten or trunks because they would cut them off right away. Lesson learned after gohan went on his rampage.
I really wish, Broly will get an overworked SS4. Mostly the same, just change the pants and the fur coloring to less pink and more a darker tone or a different color. I never got, why they gave them special pants just for the But only Broly. I think they should make a variant of SSJ4 for each Saiyan in universe 7 that’s still alive. Goku: merges SSJ4 with UI, giving him a halfway between Great Ape and Angel powers, and has white hair. Gohan: also white hair, but combines his Beast Mode with Great Ape. Vegeta: combines Great Ape with UE, uses Destruction power and purple hair. Broly: combines SSJ4 with LSSJ, is easier to control and focus, along with greater growth potential than normal. Has green hair. Gotten: gets inspired to prepare for a scenario similar to Zamasu, and starts learning from the Kais alongside Trunks. His SSJ4 has rose hair, like Goku Black / Zamasu. Trunks: embraces the best of both sides of his family, combining Great Ape with SSJB, and he has hair like Bulma. Pan and Bulla: they’re gonna need to grow up, before they start fighting with the others, but I picture them eventually becoming like the Kale and Caulifla of universe 7, some day. Maybe they’ll even have a Gotenks / Kefla fusion form of their own, or since Gotenks is done with Fusion Dance, and Kefla is done with Kai Earrings, maybe Pan and Bulla could use both methods as part of their training. Honestly, I love redheads, so I want to see a female SSJ4 with red hair. Which one would look better with a red SSJ4 form? A Videl lookalike with spikey hair? Or a Bulma Lookalike with spikey hair? Or maybe one would have a black hair SSJ4 form, and the other would have the gold hair SSJ4 form? 6:37 I just thought about a great theory regarding the famous super saiyan 5 art. What if they would canonize it but would make it be the mix of super saiyan 4 with god aura? We know SSJ Blue is already god mode + super saiyan level so what if it could do the same applied on a SSJ4?
I think people forget that SS God was literally god energy with the Battle of God's movie. It was supposed to be a end game transformation accessed through a magical ritual. But when they saw the money potential, they decided to make a series and nerf it into " godly " power by stating " to get the form, just compress your NORMAL ki inside your body to increase its impact "... Now we get more and more forms and they get more and more money. The manga does it better too, in the manga God/Blue drains your ki extremely fast.
Super Saiyan 4 God verses Black Frieza would be so cool. That would top the charts if they do it right. Has the potential to be the greatest of all time
GT isn't canon to Dragon Ball. But it was when it came out. It just wasn't canon to the Manga. And then DBZ Kai and Super came out, and GT was no longer canon. So this is NOT the first time SSJ4 was made canon. This is just recanonizing it into the new canon. Of course, this assumes this movie exists.
I think that the return and canonization of SSj4 could also be symbolic of Goku fully accepting his Saiyan heritage. We see in DBS: Broly that Goku tells the title character to call him by his Saiyan name, Kakarot/Kakarotto. This is significant because throughout most of Z, Goku would deny his Saiyan name, only relenting to Vegita's use of it, probably regarding it as a moniker or nickname. By telling Broly to call him by his birth name, Goku is accepting his heritage, as he has met a Saiyan raised among Saiyans, from Universe 7, that isn't purely evil or malicious. He sees a kindred spirit in Broly and now all that's left is to come full circle in attaining the power of the Oozaru and finding the balance between man and beast. On that not it seems like Gohan could also be a perspective candidate for SSj4, with the new Beast transformation he achieved in Super Hero.
People keep acting like Broli already was beating the shit out of frieze for bout an hour while Goku and Vegeta tried to get the fusion right..... takes half an hour to recharge after a failed fusion..... n they failed twice......
I just don't see how Goku and Vegeta reaching SSJ4 makes any sense. Divine ki is base-wise better than the energy from mortal saiyan forms. So why would they go to SSJ 4? And why would it be stronger than Blue?
Hear me out Ultra Instinct should be able to stack on SSJ4 because they're both taping into the instincts of nature one making you naturally able to dodge without effort and the other making you be able to surpass your own limits by gaining control of the natural instinct of the great ape. So imagine just what that could be like stacking them together.
Akira left us with a pretty good path. Each character should pursue their own path to ultimate power. Rather than climbing the same mountain they should find their own unique peak If super sayain 4 is introduced it should become more varried in appearence. Since it takes a sayain to their biological peak it should differ slightly depending on whose using it and favor their strengths. Using it in addition to what they already are would be a great way to keep the looks totally diverse while still famillar enough to know at glance it's all a variation of the same form. Broly the hulking berserker of primitive power (Bearded great axe or Maul) Goku the graceful defender (Power Pole) Vegeta a vengful destroyer who likes to attack from distance (Spear) Gohan the fullness of potential perfectly balanced (Arming Sword)
Only reason you don't see this is because piccolo destroyed the moon. If they wished the moon back and looked at it full all the sayians would regrow their tails.
Brolly doesn't have a SS4 form he's just that much of a beast even in his base form and his Legendary form IMO is due to him triggering off a different emotion as most Saiyans trigger the SS form off of anger Brolly triggers off JEALOUSY which is often referred to as "The Green Eyed Monster"
Ssj4 was one of the best things about Dragon Ball GT. I also loved how the last boss was evil Shenron and how all the times they used the dragon balls created this dark energy that made them evil. The design for Evil Shenron was also really cool. Too bad the delivery sucked.
Canon talk is silly in DB. Idc what’s “Canon”. A manga doesn’t hold greater weight than 13 theatrical movie releases. Period. Movies are the ultimate form of media. Mangas are created and the creators dream to have their works put into theatre. That’s the endgame. If anything, manga, Tv show, etc are supplemental to movies. Also, feel free to argue me. You likely won’t be wrong. But I also am not in the slightest wrong as well. Because again, canon is lame and doesn’t discredit anything. It’s just a word to group a consistent timeline. Not to show what is more important.
While I would generally agree that we shouldn't get too hung up on canonicity in Dragon Ball specifically to the point we start discrediting certain works that come out of the franchise, I don't agree with your logic here, because it's just as subjective if not more so than the logic most of the general consensus uses to try and determine what's "canon" in Dragon Ball, or really a lot of media. Mangas/tv shows being supplemental to movies kinda isn't true. It's usually the other way around. Movies are often considered non-canon self-contained stories supplemental to a lot of tv shows/anime because, at least in manga's case, the manga is the source material and movies often don't fit within a story's timeline. Of course, this isn't a hard rule across all of fiction, but it's pretty common for movies to be considered, say, more of a high-effort side story rather than some ultimate form of the media. Meanwhile anime are often glorified advertisements for a manga, toys, and/or other more profitable merchandise depending on the series.
Everything is canon, play the xenoverse games, the many different timelines allow for everything. I mean there are already 2 universes just between the anime and manga

Manga DBS and Anime DBS are different timelines the movies follow the anime Goku told Vegeta in DBS: Brolly he does not remember how he triggered Ultra Instinct which is vastly different than the Manga.

Nah this idea is whack. First of all, technically there is no SSJ4 and it’s not even a super Saiyan form. If they introduced some kind of primal transformation it needs a new name that suits it.

I think people forget that SS God was literally god energy with the Battle of God's movie. It was supposed to be a end game transformation accessed through a magical ritual.
But when they saw the money potential, they decided to make a series and nerf it into " godly " power by stating " to get the form, just compress your NORMAL ki inside your body to increase its impact "...
Now we get more and more forms and they get more and more money.
The manga does it better too, in the manga God/Blue drains your ki extremely fast.

GT isn't canon to Dragon Ball. But it was when it came out. It just wasn't canon to the Manga. And then DBZ Kai and Super came out, and GT was no longer canon. So this is NOT the first time SSJ4 was made canon. This is just recanonizing it into the new canon.
Of course, this assumes this movie exists.
I think that the return and canonization of SSj4 could also be symbolic of Goku fully accepting his Saiyan heritage. We see in DBS: Broly that Goku tells the title character to call him by his Saiyan name, Kakarot/Kakarotto. This is significant because throughout most of Z, Goku would deny his Saiyan name, only relenting to Vegita's use of it, probably regarding it as a moniker or nickname.
By telling Broly to call him by his birth name, Goku is accepting his heritage, as he has met a Saiyan raised among Saiyans, from Universe 7, that isn't purely evil or malicious. He sees a kindred spirit in Broly and now all that's left is to come full circle in attaining the power of the Oozaru and finding the balance between man and beast.
On that not it seems like Gohan could also be a perspective candidate for SSj4, with the new Beast transformation he achieved in Super Hero.
People keep acting like Broli already was beating the shit out of frieze for bout an hour while Goku and Vegeta tried to get the fusion right..... takes half an hour to recharge after a failed fusion..... n they failed twice......

Super Saiyan 4 should only come from Goku but for that can only happen if Goku regrows his tail.
I just don't see how Goku and Vegeta reaching SSJ4 makes any sense. Divine ki is base-wise better than the energy from mortal saiyan forms. So why would they go to SSJ 4? And why would it be stronger than Blue?
Hear me out Ultra Instinct should be able to stack on SSJ4 because they're both taping into the instincts of nature one making you naturally able to dodge without effort and the other making you be able to surpass your own limits by gaining control of the natural instinct of the great ape. So imagine just what that could be like stacking them together.
Correct plus ss4 is a limit break like form it would be like stacking blue with kaioken
SSJ4 makes more sense in Saiyan mythology than the transformations in Super...Blue, Ultra it's all nonsensical

Each character should pursue their own path to ultimate power. Rather than climbing the same mountain they should find their own unique peak
If super sayain 4 is introduced it should become more varried in appearence.
Since it takes a sayain to their biological peak it should differ slightly depending on whose using it and favor their strengths. Using it in addition to what they already are would be a great way to keep the looks totally diverse while still famillar enough to know at glance it's all a variation of the same form.

Goku the graceful defender (Power Pole)
Vegeta a vengful destroyer who likes to attack from distance (Spear)
Gohan the fullness of potential perfectly balanced (Arming Sword)

Brolly doesn't have a SS4 form he's just that much of a beast even in his base form and his Legendary form IMO is due to him triggering off a different emotion as most Saiyans trigger the SS form off of anger Brolly triggers off JEALOUSY which is often referred to as "The Green Eyed Monster"
Ssj4 was one of the best things about Dragon Ball GT. I also loved how the last boss was evil Shenron and how all the times they used the dragon balls created this dark energy that made them evil. The design for Evil Shenron was also really cool. Too bad the delivery sucked.

Mangas are created and the creators dream to have their works put into theatre. That’s the endgame.

While I would generally agree that we shouldn't get too hung up on canonicity in Dragon Ball specifically to the point we start discrediting certain works that come out of the franchise, I don't agree with your logic here, because it's just as subjective if not more so than the logic most of the general consensus uses to try and determine what's "canon" in Dragon Ball, or really a lot of media. Mangas/tv shows being supplemental to movies kinda isn't true. It's usually the other way around. Movies are often considered non-canon self-contained stories supplemental to a lot of tv shows/anime because, at least in manga's case, the manga is the source material and movies often don't fit within a story's timeline. Of course, this isn't a hard rule across all of fiction, but it's pretty common for movies to be considered, say, more of a high-effort side story rather than some ultimate form of the media. Meanwhile anime are often glorified advertisements for a manga, toys, and/or other more profitable merchandise depending on the series.
I don't think there's a point in Goku using that when he's already using ultra instinct it seems better, but hopefully someone else like broly

Also dbs manga was after the anime which was the source material and is the only source outlets use even for video games. Dbz showed Dragonball gt at the very end. It is canon to dbz anime and to itself. Dbs manga and anime are not canon to dbz anime or manga because they directly contradict, replace or straight up remove key parts of both db and dbz for it to even exist in both instances.

It's the first one triggered primarily out of love rather than rage and by compressing power in instead of forcing it out , the literal technicality is conquering the strongest saiyan rage with the primal mind before i even go more into the narrative of it being the final win of human nurture over saiyan nature summarizing all of Goku's character and primarily solidifying him as the saiyan with a human heart .
It's description in GT Perfect Files is " the mightiest of warriors is born when this Golden ozaru gains a human heart , Super saiyan 4 , who combines reason with tremendous power " .
Some people mention the dialogue he said to Nautron shenron about losing some rationality in the form to claim this forgetting he had been bluffing all that time to intimidate him into releasing Pan as he wouldn't k*ll her even when she told him to , which even Nautron starts to call when Goku suddenly cancels a kamehameha charge into a kick and more beating on him instead of finishing him , with Goku in the end saying " i was waiting for this moment " before taking Pan out and finishing the dragon .
Yet , i don't want it being mixed with any god form as its literally perfect the way it is , the god forms aren't even unique in substance just looks , they're obsolete . People try to say UI forgetting that it's literally an ability out of Ssj4 which was emphasised on in increased full power ssj4 Goku vs Syn shenron where Goku dodged or countered all of his hits while being blind saying he could dodge him " by a hair's breadth " , that is the " feeling not seeing " Mr popo had taught him as a kid being at display greater than ever , which people say only UI did , other than the several instances of him catching established overall superior or faster opponents than it off guard showing " crouch quiet as the sky and strike quicker than lightning ". ssj4 moves on its own too but not as well as ultra instinct. Attacks that hit the form wont work again. Goku says his body remembers.
Both forms show a similar level of instinct . U're talking about another ability of Ssj4 there which is nigh immunity to hax after experiencing them once .
The common one u want to compare is the " dodge u by a hair's breadth " while being blind Ssj4 Goku did against Syn shenron dodging and countering all his attacks without being able to see anything .
