I've watched enough now to know John's "best find" was a Captain America, on the playground, when he was a kid. And it's a great find for us too, because we have Bronze and Modern God's to enjoy for it. Thanks whoever left that comic! Great episode. One thing I have noticed this year is that the new speculators don't know anything about artists. They couldn't tell the difference between Marshall Rogers and Michael Kaluta. Or even know who they are. Not that they even care but it's to their disadvantage.
Looked at getting Tales of the Green Lantern Corps in recent times. Haven't gotten it yet. Sort of collecting the silver/bronze/modern age series still.
Omega Men 3 on eBay costs about $100 Aus ($80 US) minimum on ebay.com.au these days. Over recent times it has been rising in value. It is starting to catch on quite well.
Great picks especially Omega Men 3. Not really sure if it readily available in a 9.8 for as low as $200 which was mentioned in the shoe. I've been personally hunting to find one for $200 or under and have been struggling to find it . 9.6s mostly fall in that range.
Sent my Wolverine Limited Series #1 9.8 in to CGC for Claremont to sign. Came back a 9.4. CGC told me to go fly a kite when I asked them to pay me the loss in value. Will never send a book in for signature again.

I'm perplexed in what people see in the Longshot series. I've been collecting comics for over 40 years and read thousands of comic books and Longshot in my opinion was written terribly and the art was just average. Perhaps, you could explain what you like about?
I know why white pages are important, but with books being slabbed and you can't see the insides of a book anymore are they really that important? I'm no different than anyone else and always look for the "white pages" on the CGC label but if the cover or back cover aren't affected do white pages make a difference?
Part of it is purely the exclusivity of having better-condition paper, as opposed to the next guy. But there's a practical aspect. Even if you never open the slab, white pages indicate that the paper has not deteriorated much, and so it's reasonable to assume that the comic will remain intact for many, many years to come, with little danger of the pages becoming brittle. In turn, that means your investment in said comic is more secure, which is good. In my opinion, it's open to debate whether old comics with brown pages will become brittle or otherwise accrue damage in a slab, especially if the slab is subjected to rough handling. It may be that comic collectors 50 or 100 years in the future have to be skeptical about the numerical grades on comics that were slabbed in 2021, due to paper deterioration in some examples.

Interesting that a collector who’s bought a slab has any interest in what colour the interior pages are considering they’ll never see them? 🙄
