Both the Pixel 3 and P30 Pro is poor compared to Samsung in video. Your particular P30 unit is unusually poor at 1030p video. It is significantly worse than my Mate 20 X and the Kirin 970 powered P20 Pro. As for who won, the P30 Pro is competitive, but not better than the Pixel 3 in these shots. Its more of a coin toss. The Pixel is a very consistent shooter, where as the P30 has some inconsistencies (particularly with color). Of course the P30 has 40MP mode, wide angle, and telephoto and is a better photography camera overall. Its a bit annoying how some parrots its 4 cameras against one, like somehow the Pixel's primary camera software can makeup for the lack of extra lenses. This is largely a comparison of the two primary sensors of, and Pixel is utterly noncompetitive with the other sensors in the Huawei or Samsung. In addition the S10's sensor is largely the same as the Pixel 3, but Samsung's software does a much better job in both stills and video. I never had a Pixel, but its my understanding that there is a delay using the HDR+, something that does not appear in Samsung or Apple. In addition, you also use telephoto and wide angle which the Pixel lacks. The Pixel has a good primary camera that is not outright better than its competitors. As for the Huawei, I am still on the fence of whether the RYYB sensor was the right move. An OIS enabled RGGB sensor would have been enough to beat the other flagships. Most people take photos during the day and I don't think trade-off in color accuracy is worth for good low light performance.
Hi is theire somewhere in the camera app menu of the Huawei P30 Pro some videos Stabilisation options or some of the A.I. options with which you could play to overcome this skiped frames and overall really bad video performance of the Huawei P30 pro?
@@PixelPeepers I know. But corner softness is what you get when you have a large sensor with a small lens and a big aperture. It's common knowledge and a universal problem in photography. There is something wrong with the video recording of 1080p. It's not normal to be so laggy. 4K is perfect but 1080p? I have mate 10 pro and the 1080p video recording is a way better. I think it is a software bug or you have to restart the phone. Nice video :)
Of course, it's not normal, but there is no flagship without problems. Especially iPhone :D. For its price, it shouldn't have such problems like: the system goes down when a special symbol is used, or wifi and network problems, display problems and etc.
That horrible FHD stabilisation on P30 Pro though... it's super odd that you don't get the same horrible lag/jitter effect in higher 4K resolution video recording, I suspect your unit is either faulty or the recent software update messed it up. Either way I haven't seen anything like that on other people's P30/Pro, so probably it's an isolated issue. As for everything else, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Selfie photo is tied between two but P30 Pro wins in front camera video recording with ease. It also has far better dynamic range than Pixel but WB is quite off more often than not, and lack of ability to capture colour of the sky correctly is a huge problem to me. But I hate how Pixel consistently crushes shadows into oblivion and turns darker colours into inky black, and I gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of either of those phones' image processing in daylight. Hopefully Google uses larger sensor on Pixel 4 and Huawei corrects all the colour issues P30 Pro has with Mate 30 Pro... I'm sure they can do it better next time.
There has to be a problem with the p30 pro 1080p video, that's just terrible, like worse than it ever should be. The 4k stutters are real though, seen that around many videos. Otherwise, it's kind of a toss up between certain situations. I guess the Pixel is more consistent, though I still don't like the thing it does with shadows in HDR photos.

Google prioritizes controlling the highlights so the camera tends more often than not to under expose. Throw in the very high contrast and it just crushes a lot of the darker regions of the image. Night sight isn't bad either.. It works pretty good
Yes, it's second best
LOL shines way ahead with that crappy mic, overexposed, unstable selfie videos, crappy zoom, and underexposed daylight pics? Not even close P30 Pro did much better.
video quality on p30 pro is garbage
Pretty much, except front facing video
@@PixelPeepers that's why returned mine ,is not worth the money ,I felt cheated when I spent that amount of dough yes I couldn't compare it with my note 9 or s10plus on the video department, yes in the picture department is better than those two in zoom and night mode situations but in rest neahh I choose all-around usability 🙂
That's why i always said the s10 plus is the much better phone overall
@@nutzu1 My P30 Pro records perfect videos clearly something was wrong with his 1080P footage. Also better cameras, battery life, charging speed, performance, signal, extra features etc. P30 Pro is pretty much better than the S10+ in every way.
As usual with Huawei the colours look unnatural.
Imagine if i used the master a.i. functionality...
