I spent years working on that yellow stuff. The main biggest lesson my mentors taught me was "Never stick your fingers in a hole" I had an ejector plate cylinder slip on me once and cut a 3/4" punch I was using to line it up with into three pieces. I took that moto as a life lesson. I like your videos they remind me of my youth and start of my career.

Great details and good maintenance on that equipment. Back in the early 80's I operated a 920 loader and greasing it was a chore and the worst thing was the grease! Find a good grease and ask to order more and get crap in return. The zerts would clog up and we'll you know the drill.

Nice too see the Gud old 637C's still working, I work for Twomey Construction in The Northern Waikato district, we've got those hopeless 627K's, but some F's & E's which keep hualing. Not a lot of scraper action down here, more 40-60 tonne Diggers & 30-40 tonne Articulated Dump Trucks. Still gud to see the old girls working, first Scraper I had a go on when I got straight out of school was a Caterpillar 637C. Cheers 😎

Hi Jeff: New Subscriber Dave here. Just wanted to let you know that I get a real kick out of your channel and the videos you post. Shooting the video, editing all the footage, and tweaking it must be very time consuming but the end product is entertaining and informative, and like candy for a truck and equipment guy like myself. You must pick your times to video carefully as there doesn't seem to be much wind, even though every time I am in Eastern Idaho the wind is howling! I saw a painting of a plow being pulled by a parachute on a potato shed over by American Falls so I guess you locals get it too. I am recently retired from about 40 years on the road, and after selling all my trucks I am missing my equipment so watching your escapades gives me joy and a few pangs of regret. Keep up the good work and getting your hands dirty. I can really relate. Best wishes from Abbotsford BC Canada.

On the hydraulic tubes, what we have to do it patch them. Just take a piece of pipe and literally weld the patch to the tube. Either that, or just replace the tubes with hoses. Especially for the ones that go from the backside of the bowl to the 2 speed valve for the ejector
