It's amazing how Glenn sings like it's still 1974. His voice doesn't seem to have degraded over time at all. As a Purple fan from way back when, I'd love to hear a Glenn Hughes rendition of Child in Time some day.
That Hughes Thrall album had a huge influence on my guitar playing back in the day seeing this is like a dream come true. How did RUclips know I needed this.
Saw them in 1982 with Jesse Harms on keys and Tommy Aldridge on drums at San Jose State University--bloody amazing. 50% of the classic Pat Travers band meets Glenn Hughes. One of the most under rated albums/line ups of all time
Man oh man what a gem of a find this video is!! I was so addicted to that Hughes and Thrall record back when I was around 19. I wouldve love to have seen this live! The whole record is amazing front to back!
Oh man, I would have gone nuts if I had been there!! So lucky you folks who got to see the reunion of these two rockers! I remember seeing this album in the "Featured" section while spending my Tower Records gift certificate (remember paper gift certificates?? ) and bought it. Such a great album!
Man oh man, first time I've even known this show even happened! Hughes/Thrall lives! Glenn is absolutely killer on his vocals, in fine form I must say! That being said I'm a HUGE Pat Thrall fan and it always is a thrill to see him on these live shows. As usual the man is spectacular, precise, raw and plays his ass off! My only complaint is given the historic nature of this reunion I think it's almost criminal how buried in the mix Pat's guitar is! . Certainly not your fault, glad you got it on your phone! ! Thanks so much for posting this!
Thanks for sharing this mate! What a sheer delight to witness these two phenomenal talents playing together after so long! And seeing Pat really enjoying himself was the icing on the cake - dude's still got it! :)
Hellraiser Gordon Perhaps, I can't understand why they wouldn't complete it. The first album was great, and Pat could do something more creative than produce trashy pop and hip hop records.
I bought Hughs and Thrall in 1982 Ramstien Germany , You guys should release some animated Videos with the Original Music , I bet it would be a bigger hit than the 1st time .
Oh my fucking God. Glenn when i heard you sing Holy Man back in 1984 i knew i was listening to genius. Christ its 2017 and you're even better. Hell,i knew it. Love and peace, glad you made it through the rain. John.
I remember seeing Glenn's show the next night at The Whisky in LA and being blown away--bought Bonamassa a shot. It was my Bday this night, the 2nd--been to Vegas 40 times already--and I missed this ... Hughes/Thrall! F*ck!
muscle and blood is a timeless classic , and these 2 look like there having a ball , GO ON TOUR TOGETHER GUYS . can you believe Pats playing through a line 6 amp , just goes to show you great guitarists can make a crappy amp sound fantastic
I am a huge Pat Thrall fan and about fell out when I found this post. Can't believe this was just a couple of months ago!!!! Please, please, please do a few shows....like in L.A. area! Glenn you guys should play The Whiskey!
If you ever catch Pat Thrall on here again...please let me know. Saw him with Pat Travers Band and stood right in front of him and it was almost like a private show!!! lol
I'm a huge fan of Hughes Thrall, but Pat doesn't get enough credit for his Automatic Man days. There is some astonishing playing on those two albums. Incredibly original. Eddie Van Halen? Student level compared to what Pat Thrall was doing. I often wonder to what degree Bayete (Automatic Man's Keyboard player) influenced PT. He was a terrible singer (Pat was actually a better singer), but he was doing some pretty great stuff himself.
@@alfredoescalante7418 After actually listening again at my own leisure, i would like to retract that entire comment, and would have loved to have been there for sure. My apologies, and thanks for the upload..

Glenn brings it every time. Pat Thrall is the mystery man in rock history, incredible player! Their album from '82 is really cool!
Pat Thrall! An amazing guitarist that imho never got near the credit he deserved. Coming from a fellow guitarist that's been doing it for a long while
Agree, since the days of Automatic Man at least.
The Fills and solo that he does on snorting whiskey are so tasty, I was blown away by them when I first heard them
Man I was lucky to see Hughes/Thrall in 82 at the old Waldorf in Frisco, epic show!
Too cool bro--I grew up in the Bay Area saw them at San Jose State same year
HT one of the most under rated bands/albums of all time

The Thrall Smile---beautiful!!!!!! C'mon guys---take this magic out on the road and share it with your fans around the world!
Holy Shit!!! .....How can a 65 year old man, a life long screamer in Glenn Hughes, can still sound great at 65??
He sold his soul to Lionel Richie,,,
@@sadbobbyewingsofdestiny2307 He Is Still Great At 70...love you Glenn !!!
@@sadbobbyewingsofdestiny2307 hahaha 😆 jajaja
What's great about this is they are having a great time!
30 years waiting for this!
I felt the same way
Pat's wonderful!! Of course, so is Glenn!
Some of my favourite Glenn stuff with Mr Thrall... It`s all good, but I think this album hit me at a special time in my life.
Glenn still has the voice! So uncommon to hear an old rocker who can still hit the highs. Sweet.
the biggest shame from that night was later in the show , Glen put on a vocal performance for the ages and i didn't record it
Man oh man what a gem of a find this video is!! I was so addicted to that Hughes and Thrall record back when I was around 19. I wouldve love to have seen this live! The whole record is amazing front to back!
Oh Hell YA! Damn mad that I missed it...Saw Hughes Thrall in a small venue in Reseda Ca 1982! Stood next to Ronnie James Dio in the audience...LOVE
Really????? How cool is that?
Scott Sirota I was there
Tommy Aldridge was on drums and Ratt opened up
At the Reseda Country Club
Yeah it was Wolf & Rissmiller's Country Club. I was there too.
Magical moment...thanx for sharing
Your welcome , I am amazed thier are still replies after 7 years but I do enjoy it made so many happy
Glen Hughes is ageless and timeless

Loved this album. Still sounds huge !
WOW, Great Stuff! Pat Thrall is amazing!
Great musicians with personal rapport, musical chemistry, and excellent songs. It doesn't get any better than this. Another album, please!!!!!
No doubt-sheer mastery and genius here!
Thanks for sharing this mate! What a sheer delight to witness these two phenomenal talents playing together after so long! And seeing Pat really enjoying himself was the icing on the cake - dude's still got it! :)
we need a hughes and thrall album now
Didn't they try that once a while ago?
The most we got were some old demos for the songs that would have been on the follow-up. The project has been in limbo for over a decade now.
Yes please, with sprinkles and extra cream!
Didn't they know they sounded great. Glenn's vocal is spectacular.
We need it now with Covid
Oh hell yeah! I so wish i could of experienced this, and i so wish they would of done a 2nd album
Hughes and Thrall great album fellas 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hughes & Thrall 2, PLEASE!!!
My sentiment exactly. They supposedly started it years ago, I hope they someday finish it.
Sadly, I don't think it's happening. The project has been in limbo for so long and Glenn seems to have moved on from it.
Hellraiser Gordon Perhaps, I can't understand why they wouldn't complete it. The first album was great, and Pat could do something more creative than produce trashy pop and hip hop records.
Thrall, what a cool name, like some names that come out right of a sci-fi movie in the 80s.
And he is a badass on guitar.
Yeah, it's great isn't it? Thrall the Thrill-that's rock n roll!
WOW!!! Made me so happy to see them together again!!! Thank you so much for filming and sharing!
I agree with Glenn - brings tears to my eyes.
FOR Real! We need a Hughes Thrall ALBUM
Agreed let's get a new one !
Unbelievable performance. Stunning!
Don´t wait for another 28 years folks ;)
What a moment! Note for note solo too, awesome!
Not much better a musician ever lived. And still killing it...
Wow, fantastic. Glenn and Pat together again. I still hope that the 2006 recordings will be released sometimes.
What 2006 recordings?
Thrall still got the thrill. Wow ...
gracias, thanks...esto es tremendamente fantastico, uno de mis albums favoritos es Hughes & Thrall. maravillosos.
Pat Thrall why the fuck did you dissappear man.. Your talented beyond words ❤
Got into music production.
Awesome!!!! Perfect state talent
I bought Hughs and Thrall in 1982 Ramstien Germany , You guys should release some animated Videos with the Original Music , I bet it would be a bigger hit than the 1st time .
You who were there are so lucky! WOW!!!
Still waiting for the Automatic Man reunion
I think I just died and went to R&R heaven! OMG, this is absolutely fantastic!
Yes , it was an event that could not be missed , was thrilled to have been their myself
It was great to witness also. Was totally surprised and glad I got their in time.

I already knew pat Thrall lived in town , so was hoping this was going to take place
Stevie Wonder, of all people, noted Glenn as his favorite vocalist!
Such an under-rated band/album....I saw them in 1982 San Jose State with Tommy Aldridge on drums
They are really happy of that meeting on stage :-D
Oh man this song bring memories
Great! Need reunion
Freakin awesome
Amazing

Damn. The shit was real and happenin that nite in Vegas....Hughes/Thrall \m/
ヒューズスロール最高‼️❤
Smokin' Hot!
If you know who Hughes Thrall is then you are one of us.
Pat aka Val Kilmer's doppleganger--the heaviest song he has ever done
holy Shit
Pat was perfect in Asia, too bad that wasn't longer.
Glenn Huges Is a GOD
Christmas came early : )
oh yes it did , i just wish i would have been on Pats side of the stage
HOLY SHIT
What's that Line 6 combo doing onstage?
Saw Hughes Thrall 1982 with Tommy Fucking Aldridge on drums
Pat was great way back in the Automatic Man days
Ever green Hughes
May I do some improvement of your film in Adobe Premier and upload it?
I got no problem with that, you can take credit for the re edit and improvement , but it still my video that I shot

Is that Steve Morse at the beginning of the video ?
NO that was Glenn touring guitarist Soren Andersen
@@alfredoescalante7418 thank you!
Most people probably didn't even realize the significance of this... well maybe so
the reason I recorded every minute of it without pausing between songs was to capture the whole event
I'm glad you were there and realized exactly what was going down. Good job my man
Thanks, I am glad i was their too
have you the look in your eyes song ? or Hold out your life ? or I got your number? thnx
these guys aged well......Thrall is starting to look like Val Kilmer

Sorry, but Thrall only sounded good with Travers and Automaticman..period..oh, and way too much bass..
