71 years old, and his voice is incredible! He is "the voice"!
Yeah was just listening to the Metal Christmas II O Holy Night he did and was blown away at the tone of his voice. It sounds considerably better than it did on the Black Communion stuff, which actually makes me excited for their last upcoming album. Guessing they are all getting the solo tours out of the way before they tour that one. But yea, he is singing from a good place now.
Well scratch that, seems they used AI to "remix" the christmas tracks from like 13 years ago and add new guitar parts in from other guitarists. Explains why the mixes have no mids or sub bass lol. Anyways, Glenn sounded amazing then and sounds amazing now.

Got be at a Glenn Hughes show when he was in Trapeze and i was in the crownd on that Trapeze album cover...loved Glenn over 50 years now
This guy is the perfect example that people don't age at the same rate. He doesn't event have an elder's voice when he talks, I'm 40 and I already notice how it's changing. With that pace I think he's gonna live past 100 years old easily. Long life to him.
His voice, his stage presence, his look, and his soul are so very well displayed in this video! Thank you Glenn. You are one of a kind for sure!!!
I have a lot of time for Glenn Hughes. Like to listen to his interviews, what he says about Purple, Blackmore and Tommy Bolin. He looks good and sounds great.

Saw him first as a 15 year old teen with my one year younger brother at 23rd march 1975 with DP Mk 3 in DORTMUNDER WESTALEN HALLE. We still have the tickets. Awesome.

I saw Glenn with Purple on the Burn tour August 30th 1974 at the Astrodome in Texas. What a concert! I still have the ticket stub for that concert.

Dear all, please... 50 years later and still rocking same songs at original keys, true VOICE OF ROCK.
Did you check the original keys against this performance? I did, and it seems the band is tuned down 1/2 step. It doesn't sound like Glenn needs the songs any lower though...my God what an absolutely incredible singer - never mind him being in his seventies. Neither age nor his admitted drug abuse took him out vocally. He kills it here.

Hands down,my favorite male singer of all time..I've been a fan from the first Trapeze album.He can do the highest screams to the most soulful Stevie Wonder like voices...I'm so glad he realized that he had so much more music and inspiring to do...Thank you Glenn Hughes and all who have been supporting his genius..

He is one of my heroes. I grew up with Purple, Led Zep, the Stones and deffitly the Beatles. And his guitar player plays this noninterchangeable Ritchie Blackmore style.

Gillan was best and Coverdale was fantastic on those few records but his voice burned out very fast. Hated the way Glen screamed when doing burn live back at California jam and that period. Unnecessary ha ha ha ha ha.
Glenn still has it , loved Burn , Stormbringer and CTTBand , Coverdale would be proud of Glenn using the lower register with aplomb, he is without doubt a vocal acrobat for the ages .

A full version of ‘Highball Shooter’ should have been worked up. Sounds great overall but should have worked up ‘You Can’t Do It Right’ ‘Dealer’ & ‘Wild Dogs’. The long solos in YFNO1 are useful for adjourning to the Restroom . Push the envelope some more please Glenn.

I first heard him on the Burn album my brother had and it's one of my fav albums. I started listening
to his solo albums and I have them all. I love BCC too. I always preferred Coverdale and Rodgers and
Lynott deeper vocals but Hughes has a unique voice that blows most screamers like Rose away! and
yet in Us he's ignored! I've only seen him once live and hope to catch him on this tour of America!

They’re playing all the Made In Europe arrangements for these songs and I think that’s awesome. That’s when most of these tracks sounded their best, IMO.
Hughes, Lynott, Lee, Sting, Lemmy, McCartney, Bruce, Quatro, King. That rare breed of bass playing lead singers.

Note to the Purple (current line up) dissers below. He’s playing music from 1974 … Purple are making original albums … the last 3 went straight to No - 1 in Germany and charted high worldwide. Give them a listen.
I saw Glenn on his last Burn tour. He was and is wonderful. The music he composes outwith his Purple collaborations does not grab me like the work of the current line up of Purple … not even close. He is great though 😀
