Well, looks like I've got a new project. EDIT: I gotta ask, how does the BKB Duo stack up? EDIT 2: For the enclosure... After the wires are snug, couldn't you flex seal or plasti-dip a seal? Just for some sort of water proofing?
BKB Duo has absolutely NO competition. Demon 2.0 makes it look like a complete joke in terms of power, acceleration, torque, and speed. Mine arrived a few days ago and it’s just so powerful and perfect. Far more superior than my Verreal RS & friends Evolve GTR
Personally I have never tried it. The duo looks like an incredible board too, but the demon has larger motors and bigger battery. Both boards will also have a different feel as we use dip and they have single kingpin.

Hey sorry to take time out of your day ik you're super busy I was just wondering I want to buy a lycaon gr battery to replace the battery on my Wowgo 2s. The specs for the lycaon battery are 18650 cells in 10S3P 36V 7.5Ah 270Wh and for the wowgo which I want to replace are 36V 10S2P. I want the range of the lycaon battery to upgrade my current board and was wondering if using the lycaon battery which is more powerful (about 15 km more range) will fry my esc, motors or anything and was wondering if the battery is compatible. If you do take time to respond thank you so much and if not thanks anyways love the vids, got a new sub!
when ive tried to setup my flipsky 4.20 vesc the acceleration and brakes are just too powerful, would that be in the amp setting for motors? Also for some reason with the hall sensors plugged into the vesc only one motor is running sensored and the other isnt which causes one wheel to spin and the sensorless one to just stutter unless i push it forward then it spins normally, do you know why it wont run sensored? Last thing, when i hold a speed at like 10mph the boards keeps on accelerating even though im not pushing the throttle any higher?
I’m going to build this kit with these changes: Hi5ber Undertaker Deck: $275 Abec 11 BigZigs HD: $65 Bones Swiss Ceramics: $165 Eovan 12S4P Battery: $569 My hopes with these changes is that I can achieve an even higher stable amp output for higher speeds and increased range with the batteries 48000mah capacity. Increased efficiency is seen with the Bones Swiss bearings to extend rolling distance and rotational resistance. This efficiency and range is also increased through the lightweight carbon fiber deck by Hi5ber. The wheels are just personal preference. The price increases to around $2300 to build after taxes and shipping including and other small bits to get the build together. Please let me know if you see and flaws in my logic or part choices! :)
I would not get those wheels as they do not have any spokes. You will need some wheels with spokes. The smallest that I would use are 83mm. Something to note about the Eovan pack is that while it has fantastic range, the current output is not that high compared to some other packs, meaning you will not get quite as much power. Otherwise, looks like a great plan!
The board is absolutely incredible I love it but my only complaint is I can see the screws through the grip tape and there is a clicking noise wich is really annoying when riding...😟
Just because the motors can handle 75 amps doesn’t mean you have to supply that much to them. Most of the time you’re not going to pull many amps unless you’re going up a steep hill
@@kwynton8272 not nearly what your battery puts or what a motor is capable of handling. Usually from startup you’re pulling more amps and hills can require more current
Motor amps are not the same as battery amps. It has something to do with erpm, look more into it. Bottom line, 95 battery amps is a lot and won't be the limiting factor in the build.
@@kwynton8272 my original build was a dual 5065 motor LG 10S4P 10Ah with 80A output that I put together. I’m running close to 40A to each motor. I’m using a flipsky vesc 4 dual and it’s dialed in nice. Now I’m using 6374 motors and I can run higher amps. I’m building bigger batteries with more current. I’m hoping to start a 12S8P or 10P soon.
We thought that it would be a better option for this build because of its reliability and the stuff that it comes with like the built in bluetooth module
I’m planning on doing a very similar build to this one using a similar deck. The trucks I will be using are the caliber 2.0 trucks and I’m curious what the largest size motors I can fit on there without them touching. I’m planning on doing dual 6355 motors because I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to fit those no problem. I’ve never built a belt drive board before so I’m happy to take some advice. I’m a 180 lbs rider and there aren’t hills where I live but I would still like to be able to climb hills when I take the board out of town.
you could also use extended caliber truck clones if you want more hangar space. But yeah, 12mm is the way to go w/ dual 6355. I think 15mm is possible, but it very VERY tight
I ended up using flipsky double kingpin trucks. I think I’m more a fan of the single kingpin trucks so I might switch them out. Any recommendations for single kingpin trucks and any deck recommendations?
No the charge port threads through the hole in the enclosure and comes out on the outside. It's charged just like any other esk8, just plug in the DC charger and you're good to go
I mean it makes sense. Most electric longboards that are at that power and range is around that price if not more. The battery alone is expensive on its own. Obviously it would be nicer if it was cheaper but thats the market
@@hihipoo6824 u guess but if u look at e scooters that are less than 1k even 700 for fact and speed range is more . But we have here skateboard which is smaller in size small wheels card board and battery and it cost 2000k sometig is not right here .

@@vivi-fe5rj yeah longboards are more fun imo. But if u scavenge the parts u probably won't be able to hit the speed or range of this model for the 1200. Then again I could be wrong. They're is always someone who sells a part for ridiculously cheap and it's new
I get that you DIY but what's the point if it's that expensive! Anybody can buy a meepo nls pro(650$ us)factory warranty liability 35 mph top speed hub motor though not hating just trying to understand!
Yeah totally understand! So our board it has a top speed of 38 mph, however we have had some customers tell us that they have gotten to 41 mph. The meepo nls pro only gets 29 mph top speed and 20 miles of range. Our board gets around 30 miles of range. I also would think that the ride feel would be better on ours because of the bigger wheels and that the meepo nls pro has hubs, but we have never ridden one so thats just my thoughts. Also torque is a big thing, but I don't know how quick the meepo nls pro is but ours has really great torque. And for the warranty we also don't have as long of one as they do but we started our business with a different mindset then the other companies and we know what it is like buying skateboards and parts so we offer our live chat and email to everyone so that they can get skateboard help with anything esk8 related even if its not something they bought from us, it can be anything! We want to help out the community and new esk8 riders with everything we know and want to create a great and reliable service for people.
Why you never show the speed advertised? And I think you should not cover the deck crews because those are vary Bridle and easily break, you will have to replace them all the time. Same thing came on my Verreal RS and is the weakest point on the board. Every one been breaking them. I replaced with 6m×25 black oxide steel screws, problem gone, wonderful tutorial in the build tho...
@Eric Fical We will be putting out an update video with a speed tests, the sound of the motors(which some people are asking for), reviews that people are making about the Demon 2.0. I don't know why you think that we are over spec'ing the board.
@@DIYesk8Builders it will be interesting to see if it can reach that speed and range. I support your channel and what you do even if there is some exaggeration with speed and range. Get your ass out and vote in November. Owen whatever you do don't f****** vote Democrat. I did so for about 22-23 years. November 2021 in Virginia was the first time I voted Republican and I will never vote Democrat again.
I think it's time that we pass a law where individuals can only vote in this country if they're able to place within a certain parameter of an IQ test.
@@6-carboxydetrahydropterin-485 thanks bro. I'm looking for a new board and 30 miles of range seems too good to be true. Also, this 2.0 just looks sexy as all hell.

Nice & Thanks Sir :) Do you ship to India ?
Unfortunately we do not ship complete board or batteries to India. We can ship parts though!
@@DIYesk8Builders Thank you so much :)
You guys ever considered foam to dampen vibrations?
We have a new custom seal coming out in late March for the boards. Made from rubber!
I was meaning foam inside the enclosure, surrounding the battery. As in wedging it in place and allowing for vibrations, I suppose it depends where you ride but perhaps doing a video showing a build a little more suitable to rough terrain, ways to strengthen and make your build more durable?
Yeah we will definitely consider that, but right now the batteries have a lot of padding already built into them
Oh true, I hadn't considered that lmao
Does this bored have a warranty??
Yes it comes with a free 90 day warranty and a optional 1 year warranty. You can read more about it here: electric-skateboard-parts.myshopify.com/pages/warranty
@@DIYesk8Builders does the additional warranty cover the kit or just the pre-built boards
Unfortunately as of right now it only covers the prebuilt board but all the kits have the free 90 day warranty
Hello, I'm planning to purchase the focbox from you guys. Did you say it has 4mm connectors? Because I've read somewhere it says 3mm?
It had mt60 connectors
As long as they're the same voltage battery, it'll be fine. So yes it'll be ok to do the battery swap
when ive tried to setup my flipsky 4.20 vesc the acceleration and brakes are just too powerful, would that be in the amp setting for motors? Also for some reason with the hall sensors plugged into the vesc only one motor is running sensored and the other isnt which causes one wheel to spin and the sensorless one to just stutter unless i push it forward then it spins normally, do you know why it wont run sensored? Last thing, when i hold a speed at like 10mph the boards keeps on accelerating even though im not pushing the throttle any higher?
U must make the vsec know that the trigger is a speed set not an accelerator. And accelerator will continue to accelerate.
Why 12s3p? Newto esk8 and I’m curious
Our 12s3p has 40T cells which makes it have the same performance or maybe sometimes better specs than a 12s4p 30Q battery
Impressive build 👌. With VX2 remote how does it choose 3 speed modes and what are they on your build ?can these be programmed custom or come standard
It comes standard and all it does is change the acceleration of the board off the line.
I’m going to build this kit with these changes:
Hi5ber Undertaker Deck: $275
Abec 11 BigZigs HD: $65
Bones Swiss Ceramics: $165
Eovan 12S4P Battery: $569
My hopes with these changes is that I can achieve an even higher stable amp output for higher speeds and increased range with the batteries 48000mah capacity.

Want to build a 45 mph 20 to 30 mile board can you help me
Hi, email us at propulsionboards@gmail.com!
Why do you use two 75 amp motors if the batery can only suply 95 amps ?
Just because the motors can handle 75 amps doesn’t mean you have to supply that much to them. Most of the time you’re not going to pull many amps unless you’re going up a steep hill
And do you have any idea on what the current draw is on flat cruising speed?

Awesome video! What changed your guys mind on using the focbox unity over the flipsky dual 6.6 plus?
We thought that it would be a better option for this build because of its reliability and the stuff that it comes with like the built in bluetooth module
Wow 😳 Build me one please how much.

Dual 6355 on standard caliber trucks will fit with a 12 mm belt setup, but it very very tight on 15mm - maybe won't even fit.
Okay good to know. The pulley and belt kit I was looking is a 15mm belt
you could also use extended caliber truck clones if you want more hangar space.
How do you charge the battery? The charging plug was left inside the enclosure. Do you have to open the enclosure to charge the battery?
No the charge port threads through the hole in the enclosure and comes out on the outside. It's charged just like any other esk8, just plug in the DC charger and you're good to go
Anybody figure out the price difference in building it yourself???
Its $300
1999 on a skateboard really.
@@cabrail100 cheaper parts cant believe i have to tell you that
You could make something similar if you're thrift and buy used parts or hop on sales for ~1200. Sure it's more than a scooter, but I don't like the look of scooters and skateboards are more fun to me.
@@vivi-fe5rj yeah longboards are more fun imo. But if u scavenge the parts u probably won't be able to hit the speed or range of this model for the 1200. Then again I could be wrong. They're is always someone who sells a part for ridiculously cheap and it's new

Next time you should try putting the loctite on before you put the bolts in instead of ontop of the heads.......
It will not do 38mph. Closer to 30. I highly doubt that they get the mileage they say either.

@@DIYesk8Builders it will be interesting to see if it can reach that speed and range. I support your channel and what you do even if there is some exaggeration with speed and range.
