  • Didn't see any other videos about this so when I got a broken one I decided to record my process...except my videos of the teardown actually were muted lmao so I had to re-record it.

If you take out the two screws inside, you can remove the flip-up tabs on the opposite side, but then you don't get access to anything else back there so idk how to get deeper into it. I think it might be glued together.

Hi Tarkov, First of all thank you for this Video. It Helps me to remove the cover from the cable. But 😊 do you have also a video where you describe the colors of the wires to add a new cable ?

It seems like the wire coloring might be similar to that of standard USB-C
I ended up having problems trying to get power out of mine so ended up basically totally destroying it and found out the connector had disconnected from the circuitry, I never tried soldering new wiring back onto it after that.
I think the previous owner had yanked it out by pulling on it basically, and when it stopped working they just decided to cut it off.
If yours is simply cut/damaged you might actually have a really easy time soldering new wires on.

Hello, do you have a video or more information to share with me about the reappearance of the Volta USB-C cable, please?

How did you wire this? There’s like 10 wires on the Volta side and only 5 on your new cable? Have the same problem..

lmao yeah so even if you try to wire up a USB-C to USB-C cable, it's going to be hard to figure out which cables are the CC1 and CC2 pins.
I tried soldering on a couple 5.1K Ohm resistors to "trick" the USB output into always giving 5v but that wasn't working out for me.
I think maybe that the connector was loose/damaged and might try giving it another attempt but I was getting frustrated and threw it in a drawer lol.

On Volta side connect both red wires inside thats +, connect both black thats -, take green white and brown and thats it from Volta side.
On this GoPro side take USB 3.0 and cut it you will get shield thats a minus and it goes on those 3 black wires, you will have red that goes on those two red wires in Volta and you will have 3 wires left those would be green white and brown.
That should work so Volta would charge GoPro and you will be able to controll GoPro via BlueT thats operation that can be doen easily if you want comunication via cable thats harder.
