I moved out of California in July 2019. In March I went back to visit my brother and nephews. He was complaining about how his utility bills keep going up and the high gas prices. When we drove through Sacramento you could clearly see things have gone downhill since I left in 2019 and when I ask him why doesn’t he stop voting for the democrats he said the alternative would be a lot worse. I just looked at him and kept silent.

I’m in SoCal and trust me I’ve had this argument a million times. Everyone complains endlessly about how expensive and shitty LA is, and then when I suggest voting for the guy who wants to do the opposite of the current policy it’s like their brain breaks. They want people to stop crime and remove dangerous insane people from the street. But then think a cop even talking sternly to someone is brutality and a civil rights violation. It baffles me.

I think Argentina is an example that dire situations can be rectified, but it requires massive changes. Argentina fired over half of their government employees, and ended most of their government programs. Unless people are willing to make those changes and vote out those that are continuing bad policies, nothing will change.

Explain the logic and reasoning for 50 years of validation Bass approves of Skid Row and officially approved by all politicians: Skid Row was established by city officials in 1976 as an unofficial "containment zone", where shelters and services for homeless people would be tolerated - it is not a housing problem it's an epidemic of mentally ill which includes drug addiction - let's see if Bass gets a clue for skid row? Tiny Homes, LMAO 911 calls are on the rise at the TINY HOMES and, both sections 9.41 and 9.58 authorize the removal of a person who appears to be mentally ill and displays an inability to meet basic living needs, even when no recent dangerous act has been observed. I feel like there are so many components to this question. 1 - the way they frame the ¨propositions¨, makes it sound good but the law itself is not. Most people in CA are too chill to read beyond the title. (eg: Prop 47 ran as a ¨fair¨sentencing for people that shoplifted because they were starving. Who is gonna vote against it? ).
2 - Historically CA did so well economically that very few people were really involved in politics. Now is a bit too late.
3 - Democrats spend so much money with ¨branding¨, like Larry said. This you can´t deny, that they are good at ¨marketing¨.

Joe Biden has a very long history of racist remarks. Kamala Harris made her career (when she wasn't on her knees and back) putting black men in prison for a long time for marijuana.
Trump signed into law the First Steps Act into place to help criminals re-enter society and give them a second chance. This act, due to the criminal population, disproportionately helps black men attempt to become part of society once more. You will NEVER hear about this from the mainstream media.

I believe, wholeheartedly, that California CAN be fixed…. But I believe even more strongly that it WON’T be fixed. At least not until something really, really bad happens and their system fully collapses. And I hate to think that way because I’m from SoCal and spent 37 of my 43 years there, my family is all still there, and it was an incredible place to grow up, right up until around the late 90s/early 2000s. If I remember correctly, 99 was when the shift happened. Democrat governor, state house and senate started going left, and ever since they’ve had a monopoly on power in the state. They control everything, and the real problem is they are patently incapable of admitting to any mistake and taking responsibility, they refuse to be accountable to anyone, and they refuse to change even in the face of disastrous unforeseen consequences of their policies.

I'm white. I'm Jewish. I voted for governor Larry elder! PS the host of the show should learn something from one of the most brilliant individuals in this country. The Host said he was neither Democrat or Republican. Yes, The Host expresses the same doubts and concerns that Larry Elder has. So Mr House you better get with it and swallow the red pill! And by the way, I had given you a new subscription when I saw that your guest was the honorable Larry Elder. But I unsubscribed as soon as I heard you were standing in the middle of the road. Remember what happens the guy who stands in the middle of the road. He usually gets run over.

Education is the path to save this world.
The country was never going to last forever, but whatever rises from its collapse will need to understand where the failure points were in the American system.

Unfortunately, it won’t. To this day, people debate how the great nations of the past could have been saved and rarely is there ever ways to do it. It seems humans are doomed to have an endless cycle within a finish earth (we’ve already used the easiest to access fuel sources, so if the present day societies collapse, there’s no way to reach the industrial stage ever again, nevermind beyond that).

People are too stuck on how we got here as opposed to what we're going to do moving forward. I don't think getting an education holds the same value or prestige it used to.

Education as an institution is not going to save us. Returning to a traditional household that has a parent in the home is the only thing would make a difference. Our children have been abandoned to institutions that are guided by lawyers, rather than parents that are willing to be open and honest when teaching a child about the world and how to survive it.

When I went to school in California, the schools were some of the best in the US. Now the education is one of the lowest in the nation. When we retired I was 62 and moved back to California. We lived in a great community, the community was very dedicated to keeping the community healthy. I miss it, but the laws of the state make it so hard to live there.

I’m in a republican state and we don’t get to choose between schools. Keep thinking that the grass is greener on the other side. Voting doesn’t matter when whatever side is in power just does what they want. Both sides set the tax rates and both sides give billions to everyone else. The system is broken.

the Solution is to make California into two or three states. California is collapsing under it's own weight but the Democrats would never give up the electoral college votes.

I moved from Arkansas to Oakland California in 2021, I had a blast there but I moved back bc of the high rent. The only thing was people assumed I was a republican bc I was from Arkansas and my skin is white ..I’m not though. I don’t take a stand bc I see the hate and division it causes.

American politics baffle me. Larry Elder, or Patrick Bateman. The choice was so difficult to make.
And voting for open borders, while being on the lower rung of the socio-economic ladder. Moronic. The higher classes are not the ones hurt by immigration or the degradation of public services, that, you can be sure.
