We don't need more over the top super heroes, we need characters like this, who posess the same fisical abilities of a gimnast and a sharp mind.
+SalveMonesvol It's even more realistic in the graphic novel, where he twists his ankle in the fall, then gets kicked in the face, taking him out for the count.

This is one of the few scenes in the movie that, in my opinion, is actually better than the graphic novel. I always loved how Snyder took the time to show how dangerous, intelligent, and unpredictable Rorschach can be. He wasn't just some psycho with a cool mask; this was someone who could solve crimes that would leave the police scratching their heads, fight several different opponents at the same time, and not just survive but thrive in prison. Rorschach had the balls to stand before a god and refuse to compromise, even in the face of Armageddon.
WolfySnackrib666 Rorschach: Rorschach's Journal: August 5th, 2016. I was in a bar in a dance club. I saw a sexy hot blonde haired lady dancing and she comes out to see that green haired freak. Then some guy was bugging me. I took a drink, then I spit on him. He challenged me to a drinking contest. He drank 30 cups of whisky. I on the other hand, took the whole bottle of whiskey and I drank it whole. I stared at him for 30 seconds and then he passed out. I won the drinking contest. I walked outside from the bar. I saw these two clowns leave in their car. Suddenly, I feel sick. I went to my apartment and I puked everywhere. I was drunk for 9 hours. Until I woke up. I finally got sober. I'll find that lady who was in prison. Hope she's not crazy like my ex-girlfriend.
I always thought it was something really unsettling when they pulled of his mask and he screamed "NO NO GIVE ME BACK MY FACE!" Like if they really did pull off his face and in a way they did. After that we only saw the mask as a mask when we knew the face underneath.

@@curiousgeorge5992 I doubt it. Roshach is smaller than most of them, outnumbered, and they're trained killers. Rorshach would be grabbing one gun of a dozen and get shot while doing it. As an aside, I'm not sure Rorshach would even want a gun. As a Batman analog, using guns doesn't seem his style.
what I love about this flick is not just the straight on adaptation of the graphic novel page for page but the casting as well:D perfect is what I call it:D
funny how I relate most to rorshach than any other superhero. normal but psychotic human being trying to do what's right. guy needs his own video game (mechanics similar to sleeping dogs or arkham games) as well as his own spin off movie or show. now I know how it feels to have a favorite super hero being severely underrated by media
The film was actually better than the graphic novel, but not as deep. The graphic novel was challenging or overturning practically every comic hero convention and cliché while at the same time telling a fairly complex story (not to mention the whole pirate/Black Freighter comic within a comic). The movie is more straightforward. It's just like the stupid LotR debates - the films are similar to the books but not meant to be identical.
Watch the director cut 3 hous long of watchmen, including The black Freighter narrated by Gerad Bluter. For me makes a tons of diference between the theatrical version. And the Director version. basicaly a new film alltogether.
I was always wondering what it would be like with a Batman & Rorschach movie with Jackie as Rorschach and Ben or Bale as Batman, 2 Great Vigilante detectives with expert combat and interrogation skills.
You know, props for the unrealistic fight (not saying that's bad) having a realistic ending. You're gonna get dog piled and arrested if you stay and fight instead of running away. You can be the best fighter in the world but if it's just you against an entire police precinct you're getting arrested.
I know Rorschach isn’t super powered but I love the detail of him jumping out of the window and landing roughly and not the super hero pose, because realistically that’s what would happen if a human jumped out of a building.
If his detective skills are so good, then how come he didn't notice he was talking to a corpse despite some signs indicating such? It took him way too long to realize that dude was dead.
What about the fact that despite starting the scene off with what's implied to be a loaded pistol and midway through the scene disarming a good number of cops with a multitude of rifles with select fire he doesn't think to use one of those weapons at his disposal to escape the cops? Dude's clearly fine with killing he fire's his grappling hook into a dude's gut for Christ's sake
He fired a C02 powered grappling hook into an armored SWATs chest, that's very far from killing. Broken sternum, yes, but not killing. He's fine with killing criminals. Not cops.
kahzhoex Yeah, but Rorschach is a tactical genius. (At least in the comics) He wasn't emotional until they took off his "face". In the movie, he's emotional the entire time, and his voice is always flared up. Not a very faithful adaptation. Still liked the movie though.
Rorschach made this movie great. If MCU wants a new Wolverine I recommend this actor. He has the voice and the toughness. We need to see the real Logan. Hugh Jackman was way too soft.
This whole movie closely follows the Graphic Novel, but That part when they remove his mask is very accurate. The acting just emulated the how Rorschach looked like in yhe Novel. Wow
Rorschach's a street brawler brilliant and skilled definitely but he's not a professional and he's an average person Batman's had international training in over a hundred martial arts and other skills and he's both a genius level tactician and peak human athlete he'd win sure Rorschach's a killer but Batman deals with people like him all the time
hiimchrisj Yes but Rorshach is described as "tactically brilliant" being able to make flame throwers from scratch and using toilets and wires to his advantage. He also took out 5 cops + 5 armored black ops cops. I believe Rorshach would get very close to beating batman and then stop because of his soft spot for costumed vigilantes. Just like in Under the Redhood how Jason Todd almost be batman but got off guard. Rorshach's ruthlessness wouldn't allow him to get off guard but if he doesn't beat batman, he definitely wouldn't be beaten.
Entis- The Factionless dude.. Batman is the greatest martial artist of all time. As much as I love Rorschach.. It would be over QUICKLY. Rorschach took down 10 cops but Batman doesn't even need to because its like he was never there. He takes down anyone and everyone he wants to and Rorschach would be nothing but another thug in his eyes to cripple.
Not every movie needs a sex scene. I'm not offended by it. However, it was a mistake to put the sex scene on Night Owl's airplane, as it has no precedent. If you want to put a sex scene, prepare the audience accordingly. Don't show Rorschach beating people right before it.
Mephistony And though not shown in as much detail as it was in the movie, Archie is the place Laurie and Daniel have sex for the first time in the source material.
There are 6 SWAT on camera before the breach. Then there are suddenly only 3 fighting him? Classic SWAT.. only send 6 when trying to arrest a known violent ciminal, make sure 3 are cowards.
I like that they show him panicking, most movies show the main character always calm and have a perfect escape plan whenever they’re in trouble.
he seems to be quite self hating oof

@@curiousgeorge5992 I doubt it. Roshach is smaller than most of them, outnumbered, and they're trained killers. Rorshach would be grabbing one gun of a dozen and get shot while doing it.
As an aside, I'm not sure Rorshach would even want a gun. As a Batman analog, using guns doesn't seem his style.
the way he screams not to take off his face always got me even when I read the book I loved when they included it
Ikr same I remember being shocked by it when first watching the movie and yet it’s not even one of the movie’s graphic, gruesome scenes.
NEVER, NEVER SURRENDER!
what I love about this flick is not just the straight on adaptation of the graphic novel page for page but the casting as well:D perfect is what I call it:D
I love how he was ready to take on the swat team because he found a spray can.
1:01 When she asks you if you wanna smash and you realize that you misplaced your switch
funny how I relate most to rorshach than any other superhero. normal but psychotic human being trying to do what's right. guy needs his own video game (mechanics similar to sleeping dogs or arkham games) as well as his own spin off movie or show. now I know how it feels to have a favorite super hero being severely underrated by media
I actually preferred the graphic novel, but the movie has to be one of my favorites of all time.
+1 2
the squid ending is a bit too...ridiculous.
+Pepper Millers I like the movie ending more, the ... thing... just didn't fit in. I was like 'what the heck is that!?'
Cops 'I hope ur ready rorschach'
Rorschach ' When u are!'
I lov3 his amazing voice
I was always wondering what it would be like with a Batman & Rorschach movie with Jackie as Rorschach and Ben or Bale as Batman, 2 Great Vigilante detectives with expert combat and interrogation skills.
I think they would hate each other
JUANTSU DUCHEN
Come on, If Rorschach and Night-Owl (Similar form of Batman) are partners I then I don't think it'll be that bad really...
As much as I think it would be awesome (as both are my favorites heroes), Batman would fight with Rorschach because of his methods of crime fighting
That sounds as interesting as it is impossible. Rorschach and Batman have very different styles of crime fighting.
+TheHuskynatorMAN95 Rorshach kills and murders criminals while Batman merely knocks out his enemies. I think it would be weird if they would team up.
1:07 Idk why but him saying stupid over and over made me smirk
You know, props for the unrealistic fight (not saying that's bad) having a realistic ending. You're gonna get dog piled and arrested if you stay and fight instead of running away. You can be the best fighter in the world but if it's just you against an entire police precinct you're getting arrested.
I mean, there wasn't really anywhere for him to run. That's the point of a trap.
I know Rorschach isn’t super powered but I love the detail of him jumping out of the window and landing roughly and not the super hero pose, because realistically that’s what would happen if a human jumped out of a building.
Rorschach is such a baddass
Rorschach's like oh shittt
detective skill of rorscach shown in this movie is top.
this should be in batman movie.
If his detective skills are so good, then how come he didn't notice he was talking to a corpse despite some signs indicating such? It took him way too long to realize that dude was dead.
+Xylarxcode it was very well planned by smartest man alive. rorscach couldn't think person he's talking to is already dead.
Xylarxcode Or probably sent into the real world where the REAL events happened like the old times. He'll be in the year 2005
The acting was phenomenal is this whole scene.
So far every question I've seen below can be answered by reading the graphic novel. And I hate to be 'that guy', but it's far better than the film.
Not cops.
It's just one as far as I'm aware. I was required to read it for a Graphic Novels course I took. Don't regret it in the slightest.
hiimchrisj That's far from lethal.
GOT is amazing, book and movie 10/10. Watchmen movie 6/10 (the bad acting and really unrealistic fighting) watchmen book 10/10
Rorschach is the "you're lucky I picked your side" kind of hero. :P
Rorschach sounds like batman
I think he sounds better, personally.
As soon as he says " when you are", you know shit is gonna go down on an EPIC scale!
2:50 Really Rorschach? Surrounded by cops, and you proceed to attack just one?
kahzhoex Yeah, but Rorschach is a tactical genius. (At least in the comics) He wasn't emotional until they took off his "face". In the movie, he's emotional the entire time, and his voice is always flared up. Not a very faithful adaptation. Still liked the movie though.
***** Maybe he knew that he's was gonna go down and just decided to add extra hits to the last guy
minatovssouji Fair enough. That does sound like something Rorschach would do.
they sent a lot of cops for one man...they knew he was badass
Rorschach made this movie great. If MCU wants a new Wolverine I recommend this actor. He has the voice and the toughness. We need to see the real Logan. Hugh Jackman was way too soft.
I have heard Jackie Earle Hayleys real voice and it is nothing like Rorschach. what he is doing right now is PURE acting!! ROCK ON MAN!
This scene feels like reading a comic.
I never understood those complex long violent comic books :) I tried. Guess I'm stupid. Hehe
This whole movie closely follows the Graphic Novel, but That part when they remove his mask is very accurate. The acting just emulated the how Rorschach looked like in yhe Novel. Wow
when you see bae by accident without makeup 3:00
Watchmen will always be my favourite zack snyder film i love it
Rorschach vs Batman... Now that's something I would pay to see!!
Batman would destroy Rorschach, but Rorschach vs the joker would be worth watching.
Rorschach wouldn't even know where Batman is while fighting him
Rorschach's a street brawler brilliant and skilled definitely but he's not a professional and he's an average person Batman's had international training in over a hundred martial arts and other skills and he's both a genius level tactician and peak human athlete he'd win sure Rorschach's a killer but Batman deals with people like him all the time
hiimchrisj Yes but Rorshach is described as "tactically brilliant" being able to make flame throwers from scratch and using toilets and wires to his advantage.
Rorschach is basically Red Hood without the military experience
Rorschach is literally a copy of Question from Justice League Unlimited
Rorschach is the character that makes this movie to be watchable. Otherwise this movie would have sucked wholetime
I know right :D thats exactly what I tought
Raul Pinto Well I could do without a random sex scene. Apart from that, the movie is pure art
Not every movie needs a sex scene. I'm not offended by it. However, it was a mistake to put the sex scene on Night Owl's airplane, as it has no precedent. If you want to put a sex scene, prepare the audience accordingly. Don't show Rorschach beating people right before it.
6948664603 It was pretty important to show she was moving on from Dr. Manhattan
Mephistony And though not shown in as much detail as it was in the movie, Archie is the place Laurie and Daniel have sex for the first time in the source material.
Panic to psycho in five seconds. First "No no no..." later "When you are..." Gotta love hime!
*Attempt escape scene
1:02 when your teacher asks for the homework and your failing the class
2:28 Why the fuck wasn't the safety already off?
MegaDrainProductions That wasn't the safety, if you actually read it closely you'll see that he was switching it to semi-automatic firing.
Conner Thompson well actualy he was switching from semi-automatic to full-automatic but who actualy cares. it's an awsome scene.
There are 6 SWAT on camera before the breach. Then there are suddenly only 3 fighting him? Classic SWAT.. only send 6 when trying to arrest a known violent ciminal, make sure 3 are cowards.
I think he would be a bad ass joker
I like your thinking.Switch it across universes in the form of Carnage.
+Quincy Salguero He sucked as Freddy Krueger
The internet has taught me that absolutely EVERYONE can be the joker
Dude he would be amazing!
He wants his face back....thats so sad....
His power was being mentally ill.
Don't know why he didn't just staple the mask to his face though.
his rage at the end, i felt that
