So, here we are. Eliza and Bob are divorced, so I'm making over the marital home for Eliza, but with a little twist...

Can we name one of the tenants Rob Waffles lol He's her yoga instructor and she's in love with him and wants to move with him to Sulani and swim with the dolphins together... But he thinks she's a creep but he makes poor choices and sleeps with her from time to time anyway lol

I love the storyline and style you used on this build! I'm getting the vibe that Eliza is embracing a pretentious attempt as a 'spiritual lifestyle guru' on the side while attempting to transform her home into some sort of pseudo zen sanctuary (minus the apartments up top!). So fun! 😆

No, because a part of me likes her but as soon as your sim becomes friends with her, she calls them all the time 😭
I have my own story about Eliza in my head. Bob has big dreams but really struggles with starting and finishing anything. She told her parents they were wrong about him and that he was going to be super successful and it's resulted in her carrying the household financially while he works as a dishwasher. She loved him once but feels very taken advantage of and Bob doesn't really try to connect with her emotionally either, he's trying to manage his own gloominess. So, she's lonely, overworked, and feels like this isn't the marriage she signed up for.

Bob and Eliza get along swimmingly in my game! I just set their preferences so they each admire the characteristics of the other. Thank you, Growing Together, for letting those two prove everyone wrong 😊
I hope you figured out the technical issue you were having! I had to update my TOOL and Better Build & Buy mods in order to have the new ForRent pack work properly…even then, it took me a while to figure out the correct sequence of when to designate a lot rental so that it could be subdivided into units! I love your Eliza storyline! Totally opposite of the one I created when I redesigned the Pancake’s house (my story more or less focused on their sad, sad house being at the core of their marital problems, lol.)
Even with the updated better build my game is still broken so I had to delete it 😢 do you update it from curseforge? It’s such a pain to go through debug 😅
I think I actually deleted then installed the newest version of both mods through TwistedMexi’s tumblr site

In my game she’s the victim. Bob cheated on her with all the Calientes. I created her mother and they moved to (my wedding stories world) in your tiny house you built there.
I gave her plastic surgery and she’s doing well for herself.
She could create the Karen household. All the new tenants are Karen’s.

I think to get it to work you'll have to move Eliza out, set the apartments and lot type from manage worlds, and then have her buy the lot. I had this problem doing the same thing with the BFF household, but I got it to work after moving them out and back in. *also my mini dachshund Luna says hi Daisy!*
i absolutely LOVE seeing your thinking process and how everything always comes together. i usually default to neutral bland colors but i'm trying to break the habit 😭 i adore how you aren't afraid to pick bold colors & furniture to match the vibe of the sim & their space! i'm so inspired to build right now LOL

I love what you did with the house! I can imagine exactly what it smells like and it’s giving me a headache already. I just know she’d go crazy for those cheap greyscale pictures of elephants and the slightly insensitive buddha figurines in the toilet (not sure if that’s a universal experience everyone’s had of just a Dutch one)
In my game Eliza feels unhappy and lonely and gives Bob an ultimatum: they move and she’s going to work or divorce. They’re currently in San Myshuno, Bob’s been a stay at home dad to two redhead kids and Eliza made them rich through investing!
I've done a recent renovation of this house also. Had to completely scratch that floorplan and start as a shell with balconies. Maxis's obsession with 3 tile stairs needs an intervention.
I love the format in which you build/ edit like the preplanned vibe and how you explain things and sometimes just do it or show us the process!
The exterior reminds me so much of a sims 3 build, but a fully alpha cc build? It’s almost nostalgic and I love it

I have always ignored the sims own characters, but I love the story you have built around them. I love her apartment more! You have really made that green work, it really looks amazing.

Great video! I love the build, I would only change one thing, the sofa next to the door in Eliza's apartment should be exchanged for an ottoman or 2 living chairs to make the space feel less closed off and invite you deeper into the space.
The aesthetic for this build is chefs kiss tho! 💯

Im a landlord, just sold two of my investments as hubby and I have retired. OML our tenants were disgusting. To save money hubby and I recarpeted, painted and cleaned one of the houses and the mess! Our properties were managed by a Real Estate company whom we have dismissed (we still have one more investment property that our daughter is renting atm) as we were NOT happy with how they've managed our properties. When a tenant leaves they're supposed to return the house in the condition they moved in. They amount of bugs, spiders etc, stains on the carpets, dents in the wall etc 🤬😤, I would never have vacated without a thorough clean.
Personally, I don’t think Eliza is “the problem”, per se, she just wants a nice house and nice things but she’s married to Bob, who’s a lazy slob. Her constant “nagging” is probably just her telling him to clean up and be more active and stuff. She doesn’t have a job at the start of the game but neighborhood stories usually gives her one, which implies she’s willing to work towards her goals. Also she’s kind of a stalker but I feel like that’s probably because she’s lonely because she and Bob don’t get along due to their conflicting traits.

I like the idea of Eliza potentially falling for one of her tenants. With how cheap she is towards her tenants, what if the tenant she falls for initially did it with hopes that they would get to move in with her in her space? But she finds out and is offended and then eventually self reflects about her behavior and wonders how Bob felt?

Years ago I played with the pancakes. Eliza had a flower shop and her and bob had a baby named Peach. One weekend they went on vacation to Selva Dorado and bob died in the jungle caves. When Eliza and Peach got home she found out she was pregnant with bobs baby and had twins! She abandoned her kids and shop and had a party girl era. While out partying she met a rich food critic, married him, and moved her and her family into his house. She had a baby with him and as soon as he was old enough she put him into acting classes so she could make money off of his successful acting career after her old husband died. Peach moved to the city as soon as she was old enough and became an artist. One of three twins became a successful athlete and the other a scientist. It was very fun.

Thats so lovely looking, I might place it and play with it! Love the detail of the picture in the garbage, I wish the sims had that kind of storytelling from the get go but I dont mind the simmers stepping up to do what makes sense, it kind of feels nice to place the details yourself too!
About the glitches and problems at the end though,
I had a guy move out from home into a rental unit as a tenant and played as a tenant, which worked fine! My stove exploded twice and my landlord came by every day to do a checkup when my sim was working.. BUT
The problem arose when I had my sim put in the notice that he was leaving, and then it put me straight into moving mode. Me, happy, chooses a world I didnt live in much wich my current legacy family (Windenburg) and I made them live on an empty lot. However, the game thinks that lot is a rental lot, it refuses to believe anything else, even though the lot type is changed. It has gotten so upset (the game) that I cannot click on windenburg because the game essentially doesnt load the world, and it doesnt give me a way to go back either. So I just cannot go to windenburg anymore.
I had to move the sims between households through the world manager to get to play with them again..
That sounds so frustrating, I got mad for you reading that 😅

In all regards, if you wish to move sims out of rental units, use the world manager, its the safest route.
I would move there. Such nice pieces.

The blue blinds are just always there. They don't show up in build mode. I have never been able to fully delete them. Reminds me of the floating market in San Myshuno...

So, I had the same issue with For Rent. Move Eliza somewhere else, upload the house to the gallery, place it from the gallery, have Eliza purchase the house. Then you can rent the units and it works.
*Move her out, then change it to residential rental and assign spaces before uploading. Love this renovation!
I can totally see Eliza moving to Tartosa where she might meet a handsome Mediterranean man to romance her. Or she might move to Mount Komarebi take up skiing and meet a younger man who entices her with his outdoor sports skills. Lots of possibilities for a redemption arc for Eliza! ❤❤

I've held off from geting this pack due to the amount of bugs it contains. It seems when ever they "try" to fix one bug more appear in it's place.
Bugs or not the build itself looks great.

@@TeruteruBozusama my only answer I can give is "The Sims." Why is it a bug which appeared after Seasons got it update has never been fixed ie the fanishing terrain paint bug.

hello you lovely human :) hope you are well, lovely build as per, i would love a landscaping kit. i mainly build rather than play and its criminal that a majority of the cool landscaping plants are in debug and live edit, especially in For Rent! New simmers wouldnt know about all the cheats we can use to get them. Have a cracking week bab :)
I think Eliza goes on a Yoga retreat in Tomarang and finds someone who helps her LOOSEN UP in a lot ways :)

Aiden, just wondering if perhaps you changed the lot from Residential to Residential Rental after the renovation? Maybe that's affecting it? I do know watching this was a BLAST and the whole voice over had me in laughs the way through! ♥
Better build mod is giving me trouble with for rent pack, I can’t do rentals basically and it shows as if I was doing a business lot instead… the build is not broken, it’s the mod I think 😂
