The Doomslayer didn't even register Homelander as a threat. Hell, I don't even think he registered that Homelander was a person who was talking to him. He just saw a thing he could throw to get his toy.

He was considering who would be next or what plan's he had this afternoon. Maybe his severe autism had him care more about the claw machine than Homelander. Perhaps he was choosing which weapons to choose that would waste the least amount of resources. Whatever he thought he sure as shit didn't think of homelands as a threat so yeah you're right.

A casual reminder that Doomguy had kicked hell's ass around 3-5 times (depending on whether or not you count final doom as canon) before he landed in Sentinel Prime and got his god slaying powers, and it's stated in lore that several of the super heavies he took down back in the classic era are capable of taking down entire armies by themselves. It's safe to say that Doomguy, even before he was given his powers would likely take down Homelander.
It would have been like a fight with the solder boy, but a tad bit more even.

Homelander never had to fight a literal death angel like the doom slayer. This fight was decided before it started.

Sure,for the first 3 seconds any demon from Hazbin hotel is in imeadiate danger,but after big guy realises they can talk and that they are just (sinning and mostly terrible) humans with the apperances of deamons,he is gonna calm down significantly

Friendly Lore Reminder: Doomguy was sent to mars as a punishment detail. What was he punished for? Assaulting a commanding officer. Why did he assault his commanding officer? Because said officer ordered him to shoot on civilians. Doomguy initially said "no sir" in English. When the commanding officer insisted... Doomguy spoke in the universally understood language of fisticuffs. If this is post Mars Doomguy: he would probably do a LOT more to Homelander than he did here... But it's not out of line. God job!

@quartzskull8772 they canonical height is 6,8 but in game compared to the guards in the phobos base he is 6,2 there are some inconsistencies he wasn't supposed to be too tall just wide

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the doom slayer beat the shit out of Homelander he went on the epic crusade against the forces of hell and defeated very powerful enemies, like the icon of sin which Homelander would never really have a chance of beating anyway, because the icon of sin would crush him like a insect and take his soul plus I don’t believe the doom slayer would have any interest in joining the seven anyway mainly because he’s not interested in joining them and the last thing Homeland ever wants to do is to get into a fight with doom guy Who would be much more stronger and powerful than he is and if Homelander was ever in the doom universe I bet all of the demons would laugh at him including the icon of sin, and even the Dark Lord would laugh at him because Homelander is nothing but a bully a fake hero and a sad joke but doom slayer would be respected as a powerful badass warrior who saved humanity from Hell and he would truly be not just to hero but he Savior of humanity we all love the doom slayer but we all hate Homelander as he is the worst superhero of all time.
