I am not a Vans guy either. I don't mind the skate hi for bowl skating, but outside of that they don't work for me. The Rowan 2 was tempting, but I didn't give in. Blazers look good. Do they have food support? I will have to look up the Leo's. I stayed on the Tyshawn's for so many years that I need to do some homework. Update on this shoe, I loved them but they didn't hold up. That is odd because I don't do a lot of flip tricks.
Same, a few sessions in and I am really pleased with them. We are out here doing the best we can to share and get people excited about skateboarding. Hopefully they see the videos and think, if this guy can skate then I can skate 😂.
Appreciate you. I am constantly working in consistency with just a handful of tricks. I just want to skate lines freely, so building up each trick one by one. I did get a new truck today. It doesn't happen often. Coming soon. Stay Rad and thanks for being on the Adventure.
That park looks awesome. I wish I had a little capped ledge like that to skate. So when you gonna work on the kick flips? I remember I had heel flips first too, then learned kick flips, and sort of forever lost my heel flip. I can do them, but not consistently anymore. Heel flips are almost cooler now being that my story I think represents a lot of skaters’ stories. I just set up a new board last night. It’s 5am and raining…going to check the surf. Been surfing a lot. Cant find time to skate presently. Glad you’re still at it! I’m starting to think of snowboarding too and got into looking at the tech there. It was never a thing when I was growing up. I sorta love the board-sport tech talk genre that exists now. Wish it was a thing when I was growing up.
Mike Sir, thanks for checking up. Not sure kickflip battle will ever happen. I do throw Treflips around often. They are much closer. I think the hard part of surf and snowboard is the filming. However I agree, the tech talk is a great way to go about it. Our park is great and we are grateful for it. Really the people make it great. We have a solid community. Stay Rad Sir.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding sounds like my surf breaks. The community that surfs is awesome, so I spend more time there. Out park is junk. :( A bunch of local surfers do Japan snowboard trips so I’m looking into that presently. Hard for me to progress skating with the limitations I have here. My Amazon bought rail, garbage bin, and jump ramp is it. Im so jealous of that ledge you have. It’s freaking perfect. So many tricks I can imagine doing on that. Glad you’re well. Keep going, and get that kick flip! Did you see the new Andy Anderson grip tape? Maybe that could help.
@@mikeuptegrove haven't seen the grip. It is a mechanics thing. The ankle doesn't really flick. Lots of miles and parachute landings on them. We will see. I toss them around every now and then. The session will let me know when it is time to go all in. Community is everything. I like a good solo session. However, I also like knowing the homies will show up. I am trying to expand my ledge tricks. Got a new one the other day. Probably will be in the next video. Stay Rad Sir.
Every session, I have to keep at my tricks so I don't lose them. However I am trying to pop the Shuv up and out instead of just falling in it. More work on what I can do while also tossing things around that I cannot do yet. Stay Rad my friend
I definitely need to explore shoe options in the near future. I’m really interested in trying a pair of Fallen. They look amazing and I hear good things. Great video 👊👍
The first go of Fallen I hear was legendary. I have not looked into them as they came back. I don't see a lot of videos on them either. I think it would be a solid video to do. For the younger generation that grew up with them and us old heads that have not tried them. Looking forward to it. Stay Rad
Im on my last session with these with a little over a month. Small hole in the ollie area and blew a hole in the bottom rubber outsole. I absolutely loved how they look on feet and they skate amazing but just like his first shoe the durability isnt the best compared to other skate shoes. I would gladly buy another pair but only if they are on sale. Probably my favorite shoe ive skated.
Thanks for the comment. Just a few sessions in and I can see that they won't last a long time but they do skate well, so guess there is a balance to it. The Tyshawn is incredibly durable, but a little clunkier. They work for my style of skating. I don't do a lot of flip tricks, so we will see how long these actually last. What shoe do you normally skate?
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding normally Nike SB's. Not any model in particular. I simply prefer them because they actually make brand new shoes from the ground up with decent innovations. All other non core brands just take old soccer tennis or bball models and just tweak them a bit for skating.
Those shoes look good. I'm currently riding a pair of Nike Sb Leo Baker shoes. I've always leaned more towards midtops. The noseslide shuv was good btw. I should learn that sooner or later. Stay rad sir! 🤙
I am liking the shoes. I will be interested to see how long they last. I don't do a bunch of flip tricks so hopefully a while. Only tip I can give for the BS NS Shuv out is I setup with my toes in the middle of the nose standing more on my toes. Vs the nose slide my foot is very flat cross the nose with the heel hanging off. I am trying to learn a Shuv out of the FS Nose now. It is much different. Stay Rad Sir.
They feel good. For real, they make my feet feel smaller. I wasn't sure about the hype. Now as a 5 year Adidas guy, I feel I can give an honest assessment. Absolutely a good shoe. Now we just have to see how they hold up. Thanks for checking out my same tricks again 😂🙏. New trick soon, got a little something today.
On them a few weeks now. Pretty happy with them. I even took the insoles out and shaved them in the work boots one day I knew I was going to be on my feet all day and it worked out great.
I have a narrow 11.5 I guess 😂. I keep them snug, but they aren't tight on my feet. I am about 5 sessions in on them and loving them. Side note I had to do a ceremony so I took the insole out and put them in my boots, game changer. Stay Rad, I hope theY loosen up on you. The tongue definitely gets softer quickly.
What shoe have you been pleasantly surprised by or tried and hated?
I liked the Leo baker react sb . Blazers probably my favourite . pretty well every vans shoe I have tried I hated

They are. I am pleasantly surprised.
We are out here, no place I'd rather be.

Asheville eh, find ya some hills out there?
I did, that video is coming next. 💯
I was telling my brother about these yesterday!! He loves Air Max so like I do. But he likes the newer styles I like the 90's specifically.
2 sessions in and feeling good about them. Look good, feel good skate good.
Stay Rad
The Air Max 90 is my favorite shoe, that’s why I like these and want a pair as someone who doesn’t skate
@DayToven145 they have a great fit and comfort, highly recommend.
Fun session, rad t-shirt too🤙🤙
Thanks, quick session just to check out the shoes. Pleased with them.
Love this shirt. Powell makes comfortable good quality shirts.

That Noseslide Shuv was so good mate, loved it. Heelflip was clean too.
Appreciate you checking out the video.
What do you think about these shoes?
Your style looked ultra comfortable and dialed in. I wish I could've been there for the sesh. Keep it up homie

Looking good on the board! I love these. I got a pair just to wear. So haven't skated them and don't plan on it haha.
At $110 I get it 😂. But after you beat them up a little, definitely give them a skate.
Thanks for checking in, always appreciate you.
They are beautiful ones! Now I understand why you were interested by the blue colour.😅
I like blue shoes 😂. I don't know why.
Not bad look fresh just something new to get used too!!!!!!

Really comfortable when I miss the trick and toss it away and land at a sudden stop 😂🙏.
