Bio Oil has worked really well for me, but a dermatologist once told me that it's the act of rubbing your skin which actually gets rid of the stretch mark or scarring/pigmentation. She said Bio Oil is good as it acts as an emollient so that you're able to rub your skin.

My sister was the opposite, she didn't have any before pregnancy but when she was pregnant she got some in her belly and I know she would say the doc told her she was always dehydrated

It was the 70s lol and she didn't get stretch marks. She said she just had warm baths and baby oil. Good genes and oils massaged in helped us I think.

So i might be repeat to purchase because of the calming effect but not using on my face, but other part of body.

I read a website about a different product and mentioned mineral oil as a "harmful ingredient". 😐 Also, I'm mostly unfamiliar with their listed ingredients that I watched a video of someone explaining what some of them are.
I had a minor scar from stitches above my eyebrow from around age 8. When I was in my late teens, I poked a hole in Vitamin E pills, a few applications of that once in a while over a month or two and the scar was gone. If all you have is something less severe to work on, could try that. 🤷♀️

Since i've only used it for two months they're ofc not gone yet. I really recommend bio oil. But it does work different for others, and this was just my experience. But if you want them gone, you should definitely try it out!
@@Carla-zi7gr yess totally agree with you! i had them at a young age as well and i hated them. as you grow up you’ll realize most people don’t notice them or don’t even care. many are too consumed with their own issues to worry. always remember being beautiful on the inside is all that counts💗
Hei. I have been using it for over 4 months now. I have the same stretch marks as you..trust me ..it works..you just need to use it regularly.
@@mya92c17 how do u use it?:)
When you mentioned lactic acid, I was actually looking at how to use the ordinary lactic acid and I got freaked out a bit 😂😂
I really enjoyed this video and appreciated the in-depth product recommendations for treating stretch marks and scars. It's always great to hear from someone with experience in the beauty industry like Susan Yara, who can give us a better understanding of what ingredients and products to look for. I'm also excited to try out DermalMD's Stretch Mark Serum after hearing about it - it sounds like a great option for reducing the appearance of stretch marks and improving the overall texture of our skin. Thanks for the recommendation!
Vitamin E or tocopherol as it is also called is mainly in almost all compounds as a preservative... so the product does not go rancid in a heartbeat.
I bought it because nurses recomended it to fade the surgery mark. Well i am not a kind of person that religiously using it, so it still have a lot in the bottle.
I have a combination skin, that sometimes my skin feel dry. So one afternoon, i apply bio oil on my face. Well i feel my skin much better, and hydrated, so that particular afternoon I am not applying moisturizer.
And I have feeling that the fragrance is calming.
For me, using on face may be, but not everyday only when I feel my skin super dry.
After watching ur video, so it not good to be use during day time.
So i might be repeat to purchase because of the calming effect but not using on my face, but other part of body.
Omg I hate my tiger stretch marks it’s so annoying and my stretch marks are genetics it just keeps getting worse
Loved ur review !! Its been so viral on tiktok
This was SO helpful. Thank you!!!
Love this video! Please review the skincare brands Eminence and Honest. So curious to what you think about it.
Great information! Do you think any of the recommenders products would work in old existing scars? I’m interested in the last product for a 2 year old scar I have.
Hi! Can you do a video for the best retinols? With which one should I start?
I believe suzan recommends the versed one for starters :)
Excellent suggestion and the capsules are perfect for travel too.
Can you do a video on the best sunscreen for the body??
Susan can you talk about the Eucerin Anti Stretch Marks Oil?
Love your voice and elocution
thanks for the information Susan, this is my second bio oil for my body who has harsh skin like so brown on my knees or my elbow.. its work so good to enlighten it and for scars because of wounds ... but for my face its not good ... like makes my face produces a lot of comedo lol
I do hate the strong smell. They should have come with a fragrance free option for pregnant women who (many of them) can't stand any smells :)
If this helps anyone, I am going to use the bio oil twice a day until they go away! I'll update! :D
It does !!! Twice daily best after shower but also it will take time but yes it definitely works !
Please update ! I have horrible stretch marks 😣
@@adrianaflores4506 same and also scars😭

Hi Susan, I’m using bio-oil , 10 days ago on my face and it really works! I quite make bcs it looks so natural and nice. It is good to use it for face?? I wanna this to be part of my life routine
can u do a video on how to get rid of sebaceous filaments right under the lower lip? I know they're supposed to be "natural" but they often turn red and into pimples for me/ general bumpiness
Do you use a chemical exfoliating product? It’ll clear that right up.
Can we have a makeup tutorial? 😍🤩
I use it as a moisturiser
I love you Susan I’m a huge fan of you.❤️
Interesting that you mention the essential oils in Bio oil, but you recommend REN body serum, which contains 3 essential oils....
I wish she'd reviewed Bii Oil's star ingredient, their patented Purcellin Oil. It works great on rvening my skin tone and improved my hyperpigmentation but didn't cure it. Jamaican Bkacj Castor oil and turmeric and lemon juice also help. I'm currently on a 20% azelaic acid prescription for it, but would rec Bio Oil for mild hyperpigmentation or while waiting for an NHS appointment.
err.. nice username?
Love your videos yara!! Quesrion , do lazer treatments work ? Or not so much?
Thank u

You should review Fenty Skincare!!
I thought she did already. 🤔
Noir Alibi you right!!!! Lol wasn’t popping up for me unless I specified her page 😂

Gothamista would be super cool!
Would you recommend to skip using chemical exfoliants on days you shave?
What's your opinion on the Bio-Oil Hydrating Dry skin Gel? it seems to have Niacinamides in it.
How often do you do a physical exfoliation on your body??
Can you do about moisturize after shaving or waxing..its really helpful..thank you
I tried bio oil for 30 days barely lasted that! I compared the ingredients to the equate compare to bio oil. Its about 90% the same! Bio pills $27 for a tiny amount and the equate
I use bio oil as dry skin ointment, especially if I have skin redness and itch from the sun (I'm sensitive and using sunblock, but still... tropical weather is not good for me).
Do you need to work up to stronger strength retinol on the body like you do with your face? Should you start at a lower strength and build tolerance first on your body as well?
Maybe start out with once a week? skin on our body isnt as sensitive so I think u should be fine
Are we use to after delivery and how to used this and can we use it after pragnancy .
Love your top, so pretty 💕
Hi! What would you recommend for someone who has dry skin, and dark patches on their face?
For ur face try using cerave face moisturiser it’s a really famous generic moisturiser which works amazing on mostly everyone especially for the face , for your dark patches I highly recommend bio oil as it lightens the dark patches on the skin aswell as tightens and nourishes ❤️
@@escapethenormm thanks!
@@alejandrapaz3286 your very much welcome good luck and wish you all the best x
I use the bio oil gel for the KP on my arms and its almost cleared it. When I stop using it,it comes back but while I'm using it. It works well

Is it safe to use this Bio-oil on my face daily and put makeup on ?
What if you have the absolute worst biggest red stretch marks? What can I use for that? Please let me know I have them and I feel really insecure 😔
