Loving it man! I've commented this on videos in the past but I would TOTALLY recommend getting a vertical bandsaw for cutting metal. Whether its just a small portaband with a table like what Swag Offroad offers (which is compact and doesn't take up a lot of room at all) or a legit standup piece, I don't doubt that it will become one of your favorite go-to tools in the shop with all the metal working you do. I've been doing metal fab for 8+ years now, ranging from custom furniture to car builds and it is crazy how often my little bandsaw setup has come in handy. Would make a great addition to your arsenal. Keep up the productivity man! Loving the progress.
Yep I have a small portable bandsaw that I'll be mounting with a swag offroad table!
I agree with this, but I have a horizontal band saw as well that I use more often than my vertical. 10/10 would recommend.
@@grocer3 Oh totally, horizontal band saw is essential too for it's own purposes but he's got that side covered with the Evolution dry cut saw. I personally use a 7x12 Jet horizontal band saw in my shop and it definitely gets more use than my vertical saw as well. They serve different purposes. I just know how many custom brackets are in this dude's future and that's where the vertical band saw will shine.

@@_Gingium_ try wrapping the signs with EMI tape, it could help
@@fittsy7534 that's what I thought too. some sort of faraday cage type thing around the power supply units should calm the noise down a lil, cause I would assume it's the electronics powering the signs making noise, not the signs themselves.
@@_Gingium_ in your editing software experiment with denoisers. That interference stays at a steady DB and frequency so it should be fairly easy to remove in post with such tweaks.

one recomendation for stuff to add to the shop, get one of those overhead cranes, the ones that like on an i beam.
we have one in our garage and its super useful for pulling out engines and handling heavy stuff, also good as a riding lawnmower and quad lift, though that may not be osha aproved.

Love that plasma cnc. I do a lot of CNC work and laser work and have been wanting to get a plasma for metal signs and custom tool boxes but did not like the idea of buying a dedicated high end machine for 15 grand. this one being able to mount a handheld gun allows for multi use. watching your videos just saved me a lot on upgrading my build space.

Absolutely in awe!! An after 5 years of drive way working, last year I managed to get a small unit, 2-3 cars with my friends fab kit in it, so the mx5 has a home and the E46 can be worked on in the dry!

Shop turned out awesome! Perfect for a guy who likes to be organized. I have 4 wheel dollies so I can move my project El Camino around the garage and driveway without having the motor in. Cheap at Harbor Freight.

top tip... mout the vices a little closer to the corner and you can turn them to change get more versatile angle of the vice without dealing with having to lift the handle to tighten.
also for the harbor freight belt sander... that is a solid one... I suggest building a shroud over the motor, the metal dust WILL kill the motor with enough time.... also pick up some quality belts made for metal, the change out mechanism isn't super fast but the large belt size really makes things so much better than the smaller ones.
Honestly looks fun putting all those tools together, can't wait for the build videos.

You should find some acoustic/aesthetic foam to put in some empty spots on the walls, or ceiling will help a lot with the loud noises tools will make, and improve video quality 👍 please comment if you know if a sound dampening material that would be appropriate for a shop.

I have that same plasma table. Couple things you should address now before its dirty.
-where the water table seals together, it will eventually leak. Clean the sealant off and tig weld the pan together on a flat surface.
-if you have one, dimple die the 1” drain holes downward so that there is less water to have to vacuum out later.
-the two Y axis servos, where they clamp to the lead screws they are notorious for slipping. Grind a small flatspots on the shafts and and put set screws in the couplers.
-the table will splash and get the floor dirty. Dunno what kind of precautions you want to take to care for your new floor. Mines a filthy mess now.
-get the torch height controller if you haven’t already. So worth it
