    What tag is hanging off your packs? Do you have to have permits literally on you like a lift ticket to camp overnight here?

      Nope. This is in the wilderness so no tags needed in this area. Just pack your bag drive to the trail head and away you go.

    Also what time of year did you go? You said the mosquitos were awful.

      Late July. Almost was as bad in Alaska when I lived there. Not quite but close. They were only bad in spots especially around the lakes. Just be prepared. Have nets. Bug spray alone may not be helpful enough. That or wait until late august or September.
