Thanks mate you'll always get an honest review here! I will always just share my experience to give people an understanding of exactly what to expect. Cheers
I KNOW! Unfortunately because I'm using awesome golf I can't get it. I do however have a video on my Instagram of the eye mini video when a ball cracked with my driver! It's incredible hahaha
Thanks mate! Yes it's fantastic software. I wish they would add a few more courses though 🤣. I'd love to see some more courses and features come to the app.
I noticed in the E6 update notes it says to close the the rapsodo app for improved Bluetooth connection, once I read that I started doing it for awesome golf too once I launch awesome golf I go back in and close the rapsodo app and I have very little issues.
Thanks for the great video. I am setting up a home sim with mlm2pro. I'll have 17 feet from screen to back wall. Where should I place my hitting strip? I was thinking 10 feet from the screen, leaving 7 feet behind for the mlm2pro. Any recommendations? I am 6'3" if that matters for the video.
Make sure you take into account that you need at least a foot behind the impact screen as when the ball impacts it will push back about a foot if not more depending on ball speed and how tight the screen is.. which is fine that should leave you still within the Rapsodo requirements. Being 6 foot 3 as well check that you can swing in that environment. How high are the ceilings? Definitely join the Facebook group Joe Lagowski Golf and as the question there with some photos.. but initially those are the two big things I've thought about.
Damn that's not good... This was a first for me and this type of disconnect. It was very odd a solid green light that wouldn't change almost as if the unit just froze up.
I took mine to the range and had many inconsistencies with connection. I had 17 straight shots, then downhill from there. I still have high hopes for this thing, but my first experience wasn’t a good one. ‘
Unfortunately, you will need the Rapsodo subscription to access third party applications. You will also need it to get spin and spin axis So it is also required for GS Pro.
all that speed training is paying off apparently lol. i seen people use a few balls at a time to let them cool down. my understanding due to the heat expansion of the inside of the ball. im not a dr but i did read that somewhere.
Yes you're absolutely right! I generally use 3 in rotation and don't have issues but these 3 are getting a bit old now so might be time to replace them 🤣
Hey Joe, another good video - it’s interesting that you assigned the better than expected results to the difference in the data between the MLM2PRO and the EYE Mini. Watching the video it appeared to me that all the shots were dead straight as if there were no ball spin. But, it can really hard to tell on this side of the video because of the way Awesome Golf shows the ball flight. Watching this I felt cheated because there was no actual putting, it sort of validates for me that I should have a monitor or setup that supports putting in simulation. It would be unfortunate if the MLM2PRO took a step backwards when it comes to connectivity
Thanks mate! Yes in terms of ball speed and club speed at the moment the MLM2PRO is more in line with what I see out of GC Quad. I absolutely know the Uneekor team are working on this though and am excited for the next update! Yes once you've had putting there's no going back!! 🤣
How do you connect your device/ipad to the projector? Also do you need an iPad with cellular ? My MLM2Pro can’t connect to my wifi network from the garage
Hey mate I don't know if you can skip holes. I haven't really tried before I'll have to look into it perhaps you can concede a hole or pick up I'm not sure.
Great Video. Joe, can you please share what screen and projector you are using ? It seems you are using firebuilt mat . Would appreciate it, i am building my own Simulator and I am a bit torn between what setup and products to use . THx
tbh. what this little device is missing is a standard device to device connection , and then drop all the Cloud thing, the more cloud the less appeal, with all the subscriptions you need to have this devvice running, my worry is that sooner or later they will drop support for this one, and move to new device.
I can see what you're saying. They do have and are continuing to work on the connection which looks like it still needs a bit of work unfortunately 😭. The good news is they are still supporting their old device the original MLM so I think this will get support for years! Cheers
Keep the videos coming, highly informative, and the fact that you also "Nerd" into the software makes the end product better for all of us, great work.@@JLagGOLF
Joe, love the videos. I am setting up a sim in my garage and trying to decide between software programs. E6 Connect or Awesome Golf? I am using the MLM2 Pro as my launch monitor. Which would you choose? Cheers mate. Adam.
Hey Adam for me You already get the five free courses as long as you have an iOS device with the MLM2 Pro. And those five free courses you get for life! So for me personally I use those five free courses and then awesome golf for everything else! Now that awesome golf has the month to month membership. It's a lot easier to just get it and use it. Having said that I just went with the lifetime purchase! I hate subscriptions 😂
Hey mate no they have done a lot of good work with software updates and it's at a point now where it's very stable for me. I am using a wifi extender though and connecting to that so I've done a fair bit of troubleshooting myself as well. There are still people having issues with it though! But for me now it is great 👍 Also it is INCREDIBLY accurate! That's a major selling point. It's GC quad like accuracy for a fraction of the price
Yeah there were a few in this video... I'm hoping it gets addressed in a future firmware update. Make sure you report them through the app! Go to settings and then the feedback tab. The more we report the better 👍
Hello oddpuppet3341. I have both units and I must tell you that because the R10 is not measuring spin axis, and (at least for me) has a fade bias... I missed everything left at the beginning of the season and then went on struggling missing left off and on all season really. First few shots I hit with the MLM2PRO had a draw and now I can start working on straightening this out over the course of winter (I'm in Canada... ;)). Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun with the R10 and paired with the RCT ball, the yardages were great. I would venture that it's an easier, faster and more stable connection than the MLM2PRO but it had a lot of updates. Personally, in the long run, I would recommend the Rapsodo MLM2PRO, especially now that they've fixed short chipping with the last firmware update.
Thanks for the info @@EricGauthier-sr4bc. I live in the country and use a satellite internet service (not cheap). So not eating my data up and no subscription is more of a priority for me. Also, I am just having fun with it now, not too hung up on stats (sure that will change as time goes on). Have a great day.
For me I absolutely love the spin axis from the MLM2PRO! I do love my Garmin and think all the data is absolutely fantastic from it but the spin axis for me is the difference.
Thank you for including the connection issue in the video. Very helpful.
Thanks mate you'll always get an honest review here! I will always just share my experience to give people an understanding of exactly what to expect.

Woukd love to see the impact vision of the ball cracking lol
I KNOW! Unfortunately because I'm using awesome golf I can't get it. I do however have a video on my Instagram of the eye mini video when a ball cracked with my driver! It's incredible hahaha
Great round Joe, Awesome golf is my preferred app till I get the indoor sim and GSPro
Thanks mate! Yes it's fantastic software. I wish they would add a few more courses though 🤣. I'd love to see some more courses and features come to the app.

Hey mate as in force close? So close out completely? I'll try that! Thanks 👍
@@JLagGOLF Yes sir I’ve been closing it out completely.

I usually have to reset the whole unit, and both apps when it disconnects. Still happens despite, both the awesome golf and rapsodo updates. 🤷♂️

Do you need the rapsodo subscription if you’re only going to use awesome golf or gspro? Do you get all metrics on 3rd party software without it?
Unfortunately, you will need the Rapsodo subscription to access third party applications. You will also need it to get spin and spin axis So it is also required for GS Pro.

Does it not do chipping to a flag to give you your puts like top tracer?
How do you connect your device/ipad to the projector? Also do you need an iPad with cellular ? My MLM2Pro can’t connect to my wifi network from the garage
I have an HDMI cable that I run from my projector to my iPad and have an adapter to plug into it. I do have a cellular iPad but it's not required.
How can I skip holes on awesome golf ?
Hey mate I don't know if you can skip holes. I haven't really tried before I'll have to look into it perhaps you can concede a hole or pick up I'm not sure.
Nice video, Joe. I can only wish that my bad shots are like anywhere close to yours. 😅
Thanks mate! I definitely got away with a few of those 🤣

Dude like " oh i hit it bad" oon every shot, but it goes really well lol
🤣🤣 Guilty... Lol I need to keep quiet until I see the result
Great video! At this point would you pick the r10 or the mlm2 pro?
MLM2PRO! I'll have a video explaining this soon for anyone considering buying for Christmas.
Joe, love the videos. I am setting up a sim in my garage and trying to decide between software programs. E6 Connect or Awesome Golf? I am using the MLM2 Pro as my launch monitor. Which would you choose? Cheers mate. Adam.

Joe,
Is the Rapsodo still as buggy as it was in your earlier videos? Have they improved the connection issues and most importantly is it accurate?
Hey mate no they have done a lot of good work with software updates and it's at a point now where it's very stable for me. I am using a wifi extender though and connecting to that so I've done a fair bit of troubleshooting myself as well. There are still people having issues with it though! But for me now it is great 👍

I get that no read like that all the time. It’s my biggest frustration with the unit.
Yeah there were a few in this video... I'm hoping it gets addressed in a future firmware update. Make sure you report them through the app! Go to settings and then the feedback tab. The more we report the better 👍
i laugh at your groans of hitting it badly, they always go far beyond what i can ever hit with my driver
I am very critical of myself lol I need to ease up a bit! Because I used to be a professional I always think I still hit it as good 🤣🤣
do you hit every shot badly? you certainly make it sound like it.
🤣🤣 very self critical I must admit. I'll try to ease up on myself!
The R-10 is looking better and better.
