    Hi Jon. Thanks for your solid reviews on the Rapsodo MLM2 Pro. For use on a golf course can you try using regular golf balls instead of the Callaway RCT and see how that works with the Rapsodo? Most likely spin rates would be lost using regular golf balls outdoors. Cheers!

      Thanks for that. Yeah you'd lose the spin rates without the Callaway's, but I can play around to see how the rest goes.

      I have heard people say you need the RPT balls outdoors while others say they get accurate results with any ball outdoors and the RPT are only needed when hitting into a screen. Further testing would be much appreciated!

    Hi mate. I struggle to see the ball on drives. Would you say this will be able to help me find where may ball went, even if sliced? All videos i have seen so far people are pretty much hitting the ball decently 😂

      Hey mate, on the range it would give you that feedback - it's pretty accurate. I wouldn't use it in that way on the course though.

    Jon, solid (honest) video about the MLM2 Pro. I appreciate you showing your less-than-great shot! I found your video because I've been looking for more detail about using launch monitors outdoors, mainly on the range. The MLM2 Pro offers so much for a great price, but what I can't understand is why it doesn't measure spin data outdoors *without* using the RPT balls. Is that true? I realize that Rapsodo doesn't promise spin data, but does the unit display nothing when used outdoors without the special balls? I have used a regular FS Mevo, and even though metal stickers are recommended outdoors, the unit measures spin somewhat precisely without them. The spin numbers are surprisingly consistent from one shot to the next, however I must admit that I don't know how accurate they are. I have never compared them to a full-feature unit like Flightscope or Trackman or Foresight. Any thoughts?

    Is it quick to setup before taking a shot? Could you take it round the golf course and use with every shot?

      It's fairly quick but you do need to get the ball in the yellow hitting zone, so you need to pay attention to the app. You definitely could but I don't think I'd ever do a full round with it.

    What function is available in MLM 2 Pro for non-subscription?

    • @JonPerkinsGolf
      @JonPerkinsGolf  Год назад

      Hey, I tried to cover that in a seperate video. In year one the subscription is included but after that you lose bits like Spin.

    Is it possible to use it without the subscription after the year?

    • @JonPerkinsGolf
      @JonPerkinsGolf  Год назад +1

      Hey, yes you can definitely keep using it but you'll lose a couple of functions I think like spin. My guess is you'll come to want some of the premium features.

      I'd say, ok. I want to test it more in that area when I get a chance.

    nice vid I would like to hear your thoughts on the skytrack plus? There is a lot to like about the mlm2 but I don't like their balls are expensive and annual subscription value is poor

      Hey, I've dabbled with the SkyTrak Plus and was really impressed - would need to test it more though. First look was great though.
