I Tried the new update for the first time and played my local course here in Japan. I was very impressed with the accuracy of the actual course and the improved graphics. Ball physics are better but as you also showed, rollout is still wrong. I actually had drives rolling back on a flat fairway. Also, there is only one reaction to a ball hitting a tree and that is dropping straight down to the ground. I tried to hit through the very edge of some branches and the ball should have made it through easily but it was the same as hitting the ball into the trunk of a tree. Still gotta praise Rapsodo for all the work they are putting into this device though. It certainly looks like the MLM2PRO is here for the long term.
I’m in the same boat, I’d love a new iPad so I don’t have to run it off my phone but I mostly play GSPro so I’m not in a rush for a new tablet. Also, I’m in North Phoenix! Thanks for the sub

No doubt it’s a massive improvement in several areas but I don’t think Rapsodo’s work is quite done when it comes to course play realism.
I thought the same thing about #6. They do need to figure out the ball physics with the driver rollout though. It's always been far too little roll out. However since they've been making such significant updates I would be surprised if they don't fix that part sooner than later.
@@UnrealGolfSandrowhat exactly do you mean as PC software? Like upgrading the app to be on that level? I think I saw your post in the FB group. No, my iPad doesn’t charge while using it, which keeps me from using it. I’m usually recording my screen so the iPad starts to slow down and dies quicker. I did see some people recommend a Roku or similar device which I wish I thought of before I invested in the cable LOL. The cable also disconnects really easily for me sometimes. I end up skipping the projector 9/10 times when I use the rapsodo app.
@@UnrealGolfSandro Thanks for the response. Ive thought about a bluetooth adapter on the projector to eliminate the need for the adapter and allow for charging during use.
Great video mate. I have considered the ML2 but im not sure its worth the upgrade atm. It seemed like the roll out of the ball is killed as well, or is it me?
The ball physics aren’t perfect quite yet but for what is included with the rapsodo app, it’s a pretty great deal. I’m also being super critical since I run GSPro and it’s superior to just about every software. I purchased a garmin several months ago and I wasn’t impressed, after having used the mlm2pro and skytrak. The garmin is great up until a certain point because the spin axis readings can vary heavily and that was a deal breaker for me. The mlm2pro would be a huge upgrade in accuracy and the app has a driving range, target range, and 30,000 courses which is tough to beat. First year of the premium subscription is free with a new device but obviously you’d have to factor in the $200/yr for every year after that

Here’s a really good, quick article that Rapsodo published on the LOD assessment that happens for every device. Says iPad Pro 2022/2024, iPad Air 6th gen and iPhone 15/16 will achieve max settings. iPad 7th-10th gen should get medium settings, which, next time I loaded up, it recommended medium. They explain in the article what factors come into play, so it’s safe to assume the recommended graphics can change from session to session. rapsodo.com/blogs/golf/what-is-a-lod-assessment-for-rapsodo-enhanced-simulation?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABHf-6Q1F_IYI7jkt3wOgz_JwoTc6KdteWkFujFf8bKxgKFEBTlLapNOf1nw_aem_VkDEiUT86-UelJM4RkpU1g
iPad 10th generation might be the newest, but it's almost 2 years old, running a A14 chip. The iPad Mini would right now be a lot more powerful, running the A17 Pro chip like the iPhone 15 Pro. I expect a 11th generation iPad soon, hopefully with a A18 chip
Thank you. I was referring to the offset editor that GSPro has. It would be nice to move my “aim” to the right side of the screen since my mat is setup offset to my screen. That would greatly add to the experience for setups like mine.
