I like the review but was there a reason you didn't talk about the mpg in detail? I was rather hoping for that.
Because it fluctuates wildly depending on who’s driving the car. What would you like to know?
What is the mpg like once you've drained the battery?
2 weeks in for me and here’s the first fault. The air con has stopped working. Local dealer says they book me in for approx 1 months time. Kind of get the impression that these cars do too much for the price tag.
That's not a common fault, and in terms of reliability overall MG are around mid table. It sounds like you are suffering at the hands of poor dealership care, which is a common complaint when it comes to MGs.

Is pretty much everything you said the same as a manual petrol version... other than the obvious automatic and hybrid things? I've heard the mpg are pretty bad but everything else good!
If you can, maybe wait for the new one as the drivetrain in much better and the interior is much nicer

Mpg is 45-50. EV only is around 20 miles and combined depends entirely on how heavy your right foot is

Hi I'm from Turkey and i realy wonder this SUV; is it reliable ? especially its ENGINE and Transmission ?
i real wonder please answer someone; i will prefer tihs suv because of its price and fully equipment of car.
and what are the chronical problems of this SUV ?
MG hasn’t been around very long (in it’s new form) so the honest answer is, we’re not sure. What we can say though, is they come with a 7 year warranty, so if something does go wrong that should hopefully cover it

If you can write a comment on a RUclips video, I’m sure you can type ‘MG HS Plug-in Hybrid full spec’ into Google.

You are wrong, the MG car does not only have 229 NM, it has 370 NM and that is quite a big difference and you can feel it because it is full of power.
No I’m not. You might want to listen again. I said it has “279 ft lbs of torque” which is correct.
You need a better radio mic system.
