- The MG HS Plus EV joins the ever-increasing number of plug-in electric SUV's on the roads here in Australia and needs to impress to beat the competition.
It's high specification level, 7 year warranty, and decent electric range means it should be considered if you're looking for decent value for money in your next new car
This is called the MG EHS in mainland Europe.
The MG EHS is one of the first four MG models that came to Romania in December 2023, the others being the ZS, HS and MG4. The ZS EV arrived shortly after.
But it’s the facelifted HS they have in Romania. Some regions like Serbia are still stuck with the pre-facelift model.
@DaveDVideoMaker Thanks Dave, great information as always.

@@WebbyOnCars There is now only one Balkan country left for MG’s expansion, and that’s Bulgaria.
MG first entered the Balkans in 2022, starting with Former Yugoslavia and Albania. It launched to Greece in September 2023, and interestingly, in January 2024, the MG ZS entered the top 10 list for best selling cars in Greece.
MG also needs to expand to Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia.
Great video.
@jeoffer Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The reason these Chinese vehicles sell ( besides price point) is they pack a whole lot of features safety and tech.
But in the end it’s still a Chinese quality build and no where as good as Toyota or Honda
This is why people buy these and within 12-24 months they’ll sell em and move into a Toyota or Honda.
These are good as an in between vehicle
Or simply to run it into the ground with the fantastic warranty they come with
@rc70ys You're not wrong. It'll be interesting to see how they compare to a Toyota/Honda in a few years time.
If you buy one and keep it for the duration of the warranty then sell it, it would make for 7 years of pretty stress free motoring I'd imagine

The warranty is fantastic and I’ve heard great things about their service
But overall yes for long term I don’t think these will last the distance
No intention of selling mine. Still going great with no issues. I'd buy another.
I get incredible economy frommine🎉
@TramcarTrev They're really good if you can use the EV capability most of the time.
