Duckworth is truly one of a kind. Jeff was quoted as saying he was forced to learn how to play and sing onstage at the same time, because he and Kid could never figure out how to replicate Jim's parts on a single guitar.
I saw the Gun Club twice in the '80s as a teenager and was present in a lot of other mosh pits then too. Feels like something all teenagers should have the chance to do. Really good exercise, total, wild, free release of energy, and, with very few exceptions, the ones I attended were all very friendly and unthreatening. Mostly boys, perhaps unsurprisingly, but when girls got involved they tended to love it too.
What guitar is Jim Duckworth playing on Death Party? is it a Glenn Burton? Or is it a Gretsch? But Glenn Burton is a cheap guitar ( maybe not good enough for a pro-band) but I read it somewhere however I cannot find any info in what their gear was.
Gibson ES175 into a twin reverb through some pedals, could possibly be a distortion. But if they played loud enough maybe an overdrive...and some short delay, maybe a pedal or an echoplex?
This was their best line up. Duckworth burns

best song ever
This is a kind of nec plus ultra, platonic ideal rock performance.
Double plus.
