This movie is MAGNIFICENT and so, soooooo underrated. A piece of poetry put before your very eyes. The scene of the spinning room is just MASTERPIECE. Whether you like Nightwish or not, this movie deserves a try.
Being a huge Tim Burton fan, I couldn't stop myself from falling in love with the dark symbolism of this movie that I am used to seeing in TB films. What a masterpiece! You have to pay attention throughout the whole movie to REALLY get it.
I've never cried soo much in my life. Nightwish created a pure mindfuck masterpiece! This is definitely not an easy movie you would watch on romantic evening with your gf or bf. If you're not paying 110% attention to storyline you can easly get confused and totally miss the whole point. It's a very sad movie though. 10/10
I absolutely agree. I was paying close attention and I only understood the basic storyline the second watch through. I've seen it.... Probably 50 times at least by now and there's still little things that pop out at me - symbolism that was missed. *That's* what gives a movie so much rewatch value.

One of my favourite films of all time. To me, it's right there with Inception in terms of quality. The only things I slightly disliked were the CGI (it's not a high budget film and it was made in Finland, and it's not even that bad. I only thought it looked weird at some parts) and the child actor who plays the main character (he IS a child actor with not much experience, and there's only one scene where I think he should have shown more emotion. For the rest of the film, both him and the rest of the cast are brilliant). These are the only negatives I could think of, and I have seen Imaginaerum FOUR TIMES. That's how amazing it is.
While we have many fans in the US, we also have fans all over the world. We also just thought this was an interesting trailer that was worthy of sharing. :)

Just watched it finally can get it in the US its a very interesting movie and it has its thrills and also its sad moments i think it will touch a lot of people wether it be going through the loss of a loved one or being the one left abandonded and scard like the main character) (not to give to much away) im amazed now dont judge this movie VS tripple AAA ones but the fact this was an indie project is crazy that its this good

I'm a fan of nightwish, and love their last album Imaginaerum, so i was a must go and watch this movie and I did. If you are a Nightwish fan, you'll get a kick out of this movie. Imaginaerum is one of those movies that will leave you confused for the first hour in to the movie. The last quarter of the movie will offer some explanations, but some will remain, the gaps in the movie are left up to the viewer to imagine. With this movie you can't expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter

This movie is all about Tuomas' life, since he was born till now, and all of that what he passed through and felt. All of his thoughts. I watched it last night, and it left me a really great mark. Brilliant movie.

Its about this 74 year old man. Who is in a coma and is basically living his childhood all over again but in his own fantasy world and trying to find his way out of it through his fears and troubles that were in his reality. As he is going through these many adventures to get where he needs to be. He is also aging at the same time. As he is trying to remember the memories of his own reality like his family for instance, I believe. That's the best way I can sum it up! I hope this helped!

I love Nightwish's music but somehow had never heard of this movie before. Regardless of the negative reviews I think it's a great movie and that a lot of thought went into it. I loved the somewhat subtle details and symbolism and how they all tied together... It's hardly realistic, even the characters' relationships are not completely believable but it was interesting enough, beautiful to watch, and the ending earned a few tears!!

It's free on RUclips. It's amazing. I fell in love with this movie. It made me think about how delusional my mother is. Does she go through these moments of clarity? Or is it just bundled up? Her inconsiderable actions towards her children have really caused a chasm in our family. And now it's too late. Except, she didnt grow up with horrible traumas. She grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Idk if I'll ever be able to forgive her for what she did to her kids, myself included.

Just watched the movie 2 times in a row... man the scaretale and arabesque scenes are so powerful! By the end of the movie i found myself about to cry. The only sad thing is that i didn't get into it the first time i saw it! :C You really need to open your mind!

I completely agree. The acting and the pacing was what bothered me the most, but I kept watching because the storyline was very interesting. These types of storylines are usually what I prefer when it comes to things like books and movies, so i was able to stick until the end. And I ended up liking it a lot. If the actors and the editing had been a bit better, this honestly would have been a very all-around amazing movie.

This movie is the definition of being underrated
One of my favourite films of all time. To me, it's right there with Inception in terms of quality. I'm not much for art films but I enjoyed the film quite a bit. Maybe I'm biased because it's Nightwish, but I think it's definitely worth watching.
