The case of the two boys at the 🚆 track was a prime example of police incompetence. As a cop, wouldn't you be suspicious that two men just happen to die around the same time from an "accident" on a railroad track. Don't get me wrong, there are times that multiple people die accidentally at the same time, but you'd have to believe that both men got drunk at the same time and we're so inebriated that they both passed out on the tracks.
I've been checking into this for years ever since I heard about it. The amount of corruption and cover-up runs so deep that it'll never be solved; it extends far beyond the police department. I found out Richard was also "dirty" so to speak; his initial intent was good but soon faded. Everyone else that tried to do the right thing was constantly faced with death stairing right at them. A big part of this starts with the Clinton's especially since Bill was Governor of Arkansas at the time and he so happened to pardon whomever once he became President.

Sadly, Troy passed away in 1997 without ever finding Pat. However, she was located alive and safe, living in San Francisco, California in August of 2004, thirty-three years after she disappeared. She had lost several parts of her memory due to another stroke that occurred after she vanished, but when found she still recognized and remembered her two sisters, Barbara and Mary Ann. In October, she was reunited with them and her children. Pat's family reports that she is safe and living with them, and has not wandered off since. Sadly, Mary Ann passed away in 2005, only a year after their reunion.
Missing Time? I can connect with that. My whole life went by and I never had a chance to get past my bad luck. Raised in dreadful New Jersey with the worst people on earth. I led a diseased, criminaly victimized, poverty prone life without a shred of prosperity! Happiness never came my way and I'm 53 years old and STILL looking for a better tomorrow! Anybody else feel the same way?
I experienced lost time with my children. We were finishing a ride thru the Christmas light show which we go to just about EVERY YEAR even for me since a kid. We left the light show and suddenly got "lost". We ended up in an abandoned neighborhood of houses. We finally got my gps to work but it felt as if were lost for atleast 45 mins. We were only lost for 15. I didn't say anything not to spook them. My 2 boys, 6 and 8 said "how did we get lost? We were lost for a really long time." We still talk about it often.
Another question is why did the police act so suspiciously? When they were given the bullet casing they acted like the gun never existed. Did the cops have something to do with it?
This was a seminal episode for Unsolved Mysteries. I wrote a journal entry in school the day after it premiered. Bob's childhood experience in 1952. He couldn't have made it up.
Didn't test Charlie to see if he had been drinking. More inept police work. Maybe it's me, but if there is a dead man at a crime scene, a whole series of tests should be conducted on the deceased, to wit: blood alcohol level, the presence of drugs, legal or otherwise, try to determine when the victim last ate etc. Who knows? There might be some....well...CLUES to help solve the case.
Unsolved. In 2006, investigators stated that they were now certain that Susan was murdered. They believed that she would not abandon her family, especially David, and go years without contact. They are currently investigating several possible suspects, including Mark and Billy.
yep. but I cant help but think they shoehorn in "satanism" in too many of these stories. I don't buy it on that one. Besides, they blend like 3 different religions together, and highlight those that actually mean to lead to betterment and impose strict penalties on intended return (you do harm it comes back to you harder). Its funny sometimes how they had no research on alternate religions at the time and have no idea what they are talking about haha
The missing time thing literally just happened to me a couple weeks ago. I live in a small apartment and had come into the kitchen sometime after 12:30 pm to start lunch (I remember looking at the time on my stove when I walked in). Opened the fridge and started taking some stuff out and putting them on the counter to prepare what I was going to cook. In the middle of doing this, I remember needing something that was in my bathroom or needing to go to the bathroom, so I turned around, left the refrigerator wide open and walked out of the kitchen. I don't remember anything that happened once I walked out of the kitchen. Next thing I know, I'm walking back into the kitchen, thinking no more than a couple minutes have passed. When come back to the refrigerator to continue getting out what I needed, the inside of the fridge was warm, almost hot. My first thought was it was broken, until I happened to glance at the time on my stove again. It was 4:56 pm. I have no idea what tf happened during that time or what on earth I could've possibly been doing. I thought I might've went to my bed and took a nap, especially being my cigarettes had not been touched the entire time (I'm a heavy smoker), but I had made my bed that morning and the sheets had not been disturbed. And I have no memory of ever getting in bed, or even waking up in bed. I never had that feeling like I had been to sleep or had just woke up. It was like the time simply went from 12:30 to 4:56 instead of 12:31. I keep asking myself what the hell was I doing all that time? If I wasn't in bed napping, which is the only logical thing I could think, what was I doing? Just standing there staring at a wall? Still a bit shaken about it. But there were no strange lights involved ... that I'm aware of.

Yes indeed, Robert Stack was more than an exceptional narrator and host- my favorite role of his is Kyle Hadley in the film "Written On The Wind" (1956) w/ Rock Hudson, Lauren Bacall & Dorothy Malone. Mr. Stack was Oscar nominated for this performance! ...and of course the classic TV show, "The Untouchables", and as you said, so funny in "Airplane".
This is actually the first time I've seen Charlie Sigmin's full story. I had only seen the update segment before which opened with Charlie's death and ended with Gary surrendering to authorities
@@gristamshackleford2102 i think he's talking about the other guy who "disappeared" from his bed. The other Soldier's lost time could be a bunch of things. We do know that programs like MK Ultra existed. We know that they were trying to make and create false memories to hide people's REAL abductions, forced drug use (LSD), mental illness, or what-have-you. We just don't have enough information yet. I'm sure it will come. It could be simply a misplaced memory, someone simply lying, the looming Vietnam war, PTSD, lead poisoning, Agent Orange...I could go on forever. It's a real MYSTERY *wink*
Imagine being the sergeant or officer in this situation...you’re trying to find out why your soldier wasn’t where he was supposed to be...and he tells you he was abducted by a UFO...
Agreed, but they say she's wanted. I don't see her on any most wanted lists, no computer aged photo. How in the world do they expect to find her with such an old pic. (Which was likely outdated when this program was made.)
The story about Rogust reminds me of another man who disappeared. He had left his house to go to work, I remember correctly and vanished without a trace. His family suspected foul play and cops assumed he had just ran off. He had been missing for two years before he suddenly showed up at a fast food restaurant. Patrons there said he was confused and frightened so they called the police and he was taken to the hospital. There he revealed his name and that he suddenly “woke up” walking down the street. It took a bit but the police managed to put together what had happened to him during the time he went missing. He appeared in an entirely different state and said his name was something different than it was. He got a state ID, a new job, and an apartment. Had been living there for a while when he went for a walk and woke up. Many people thought he had faked it as well but as it turns out, it’s a real illness that is caused by a stroke or brain trauma. In this case, he had suffered a stroke that re-wired his brain and he forgot who he was, where he lived and everything. It’s possible he saw the name he chose somewhere. It was another stroke that “fixed” the problem. There was been documentation of occurrences like his story; forgetting one’s entire life, picking up a new skill or hobby, a new language, there was even documentation of a man who couldn’t speak at all unless he was playing the piano. He had been an avid pianist before his stroke and after he lost the ability to speak. As long as he’s playing a piano he can hold decent conversations.
They should've gave Stack the proper respect of giving him a chair to sit in for this interview. He looked calm & relaxed but he stood up for every episode & at his age
The full update theme is now on RUclips (look for the 38:00 extended video with a comp of past and current updates from Unsolved Mysteries), it’s a wicked cold dark synth wave track.
It's interesting to go back and listen to alien abductees from 30-40 years ago..."there were dials everywhere." Yep, technology of the 80s was everywhere on a spaceship. I don't think these people are lying, but I think this lends heavy credence to dreaming or hallucinating.
Watching it now that seems silly but dials may just be the closest reference point to what they saw, if there was unknown alien technology in front of you how would you describe it other than by reference of what you know? Not saying the stories are true but your narrow interpretation of unimaginative vocabulary from an average joe/jane doesn't necessarily discredit unusual experiences they might have had.
I say they reboot the show with Christopher Walken. If that doesn’t scare the hell out of ppl, nothing will. (And I don’t want one episode per show. The “Dateline” thing is overdone. 4 cases per show to keep your interest.).
I sometimes wonder if I've experienced missing time - I remember in high school the teacher handed back quizzes that she had marked... I didn't get one back and I didn't recognize the quiz. I asked when did we do this quiz, and she said just two days ago. I thought hard but couldn't remember missing any days or classes or being so late that I'd miss the quiz... but I also couldn't remember the specifics of that day. When I asked if anyone remembers if I was there that day or what I was doing, nobody really listened to my concerns but it really bothered me. There's probably a logical explanation but always wondered how it was possible that I didn't notice I missed the class, because I was very studious.
Me too, Esther. We need so much rest for our brain holds too much data. The mechanism is fantastic, involves the whole brain, but may have lapses and mistakes. Also our brain develops much more in our first years, that's why certain memories are so vivid and strong. Wonderful but imperfect machine. Never trust entirely on our memory, which comes from our senses or perception
Robert Stack was always so elegant and classy in these episodes of Unsolved Mysteries…….his hair was so well done and always in place; and he was great at narrating. When I was a kid watching UM when it first aired, I was only ever really interested in the ghost, UFO and supernatural segments. Now I'm the complete opposite. Those segments are fine, but I'm usually sitting here like, Person in the show: "I know it was a [ghost/UFO/magic rock/etc]." Me (skeptical): "No, it probably wasn't. The truth is out there, but it's often rather mundane." Instead, I'm very curious now to learn more about the real-life (Wanted/Missing...) cases and whether the people involved were found in the last 30 years. I like that these posted episodes include fairly recent updates. UM really did make a difference in a lot of these cases. That was the power of TV.
Me, total opposite, spent my whole life studying science astronomy, physics, watched science channel discovery wings, military channel, when they were good learning channels for fun..... Now, I know theres more to life then we have been led to believe and the know it all scientist throughout history has always been proven wrong in the long run. Michio is my kind of scientist.
I remember when I was a kid talking to my mum about what are the scariest films. I said it was ghost films. Mum pointed out how many times do you hear about a ghost killing someone. Since then I just can't watch ghost films and take them serious, and then I began my love of 60s-70's horror. Not really relevant, it's just a nice memory with my mum 😊
I wonder if Bob Matthews was actually abused by a relative, but created the alien story subconsciously as a way to protect himself from the truth since he would have been very traumatized
I believe in his case it was a military-related abduction. It can happen like that, and then being interrogated like he stole government secrets. By the time he saw those lights, he was already abducted and it was leaving. Men in suits, those would be those high-level, clean-room rabbit suits. It's like an initiation prank in the air force or something, lol. College-level, frat-party hazing at its finest.
The alien that abducted Bob was a gray they are unlikely from what I understand about there race they don't take blood or seamen they only do exsamnations and then return the person to the original spot
I think someone was taking advantage of Rogest for cheap labor. He was probably confused about who he was and this person used him. I think he got wind of the tip/lead and took Rogest away so he couldn’t be located
Erica Davis Sad Reality is that Rogest probably ended up in the county morgue a short time later as a John Doe and then buried in an unmarked pauper’s grave.
the first thing that came to my mind about Rogest Cain was the security guard. I realize that he likely had a job to do but couldnt the security guard have chosen to stay with him until help arrived? Maybe there is soemthing I am unaware. But it seems strange he would just walk up and disappear not once, but twice both close to home and halfway across the country.
Garey had seen the broadcast and surrendered himself to authorities in May of 1989. He told police that he broke up with Ann shortly before the broadcast, and that she threatened to put satanic curses on him should he cooperate with police. However, a combination of a guilty conscience and fear of his exposure on the broadcast were a stronger motivator for him to surrender. In January of 1991, he entered an Alford Plea for second-degree murder. He was sentenced to twenty years in prison and was paroled in 2002. Ann has yet to be apprehended. While in prison, Garey publicly begged her to turn herself into the authorities, but she never did. She has been a fugitive for more than thirty years and would be in her 50s today. She is believed to be living in either Arizona or Oregon. She is also believed to be taking advantage of her physical features to falsely identify herself as an American Indian and feign acculturation with Indian nations. As such, tribal police have also been alerted that she may be a danger to their areas.

Just wanted to say thank you for your help. Me and my Nannie always watched this along time ago before she passed of cancer. This show has brought oeople together and have done such a good job informing the nation to get answers and catch the bad guys. Just thank you.
I believe I experienced a "Lost time" episode this last weekend because it was so short!!
Ann set charlie up clearly and Gary helped her, but I believe it was Ann's idea.
Why would she want him dead?
I think Gary killed Anne
Absolutely! And that cop is so fucking stupid. It was self defense because Gary had bruises and the house was in a disarray. If Charlie was set up and fighting for his life of course there’s gonna be signs of a struggle and Gary would have bruises from Charlie defending himself! How did this cop pass his exams to become a cop when he’s that stupid!!!!!
Duh
Robert Stack is the G.O.A.T, dude could've been President with his cadence.
I feel so bad for Anne's sons. She killed the one person who loved them.
so happy these are on ; ]
Yes love this show
Agreed
I experienced lost time with my children. We were finishing a ride thru the Christmas light show which we go to just about EVERY YEAR even for me since a kid. We left the light show and suddenly got "lost". We ended up in an abandoned neighborhood of houses. We finally got my gps to work but it felt as if were lost for atleast 45 mins. We were only lost for 15. I didn't say anything not to spook them. My 2 boys, 6 and 8 said "how did we get lost? We were lost for a really long time." We still talk about it often.
Did lost time turn 1 kid hay?
Wow

they were ran over by a train and mangled so finding a knife wound wouldn't of been that easy
Yes incase logic isnt avaliable to you. They were torn apart so yeah finding a stab wound would be very difficult.

Another question is why did the police act so suspiciously? When they were given the bullet casing they acted like the gun never existed. Did the cops have something to do with it?
Ann and her friend killed Charlie, that was no self-defence. That cop saying he does not see that man killing Charlie, should be retrained.
Unsolved mysteries, the ultimate bed time story.
These stories would keep me UP All night 🌙.
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
This was a seminal episode for Unsolved Mysteries. I wrote a journal entry in school the day after it premiered. Bob's childhood experience in 1952. He couldn't have made it up.
and because of the semen the aliens collected... amirite
“He couldn’t have made it up” 😂😂 you’re an idiot dude 😂
Didn't test Charlie to see if he had been drinking. More inept police work. Maybe it's me, but if there is a dead man at a crime scene, a whole series of tests should be conducted on the deceased, to wit: blood alcohol level, the presence of drugs, legal or otherwise, try to determine when the victim last ate etc. Who knows? There might be some....well...CLUES to help solve the case.
Gary was an ex cop, they stick together.
And the inconclusive test on Anne for if she had used a weapon, more obfuscation
Especially since Anne and Gary claimed he was in a drunken rage....you think that would be the first thing they do..SMH

Robert stack is the man that voice way better than that other guy
Ann and Gary killed that poor man.
She ran off and left her kids?!
yep. but I cant help but think they shoehorn in "satanism" in too many of these stories.
I could listen to Robert Stack talk all day😀. These people are on some good stuff
Jacqueline Robinson Robert Stack was handsome wasn’t he???????!!!!!!

That last story got to me. Idk what I would do if that was my dad ☹️
I feel the same. Wish that cop had just stayed with him while he waited for his sister to pick him up :(
The missing time thing literally just happened to me a couple weeks ago.
That is so weird 😱
Could be dissociative disorder.
Lol sure....
Could have been an absence seizure or TIA
That’s creepy ….so what did you eat ??

Yes indeed, Robert Stack was more than an exceptional narrator and host- my favorite role of his is Kyle Hadley in the film "Written On The Wind" (1956) w/ Rock Hudson, Lauren Bacall & Dorothy Malone. Mr. Stack was Oscar nominated for this performance!
...and of course the classic TV show, "The Untouchables", and as you said, so funny in "Airplane".

Agreed, but they say she's wanted. I don't see her on any most wanted lists, no computer aged photo. How in the world do they expect to find her with such an old pic. (Which was likely outdated when this program was made.)
I love, watching these old unsolved Mysteries
Bob Stack looks like he wants to laugh after every question he asks Richard
They should've gave Stack the proper respect of giving him a chair to sit in for this interview. He looked calm & relaxed but he stood up for every episode & at his age
@black spectre link?
Yes the Unsolved Mysteries theme is dope but the update theme is also solid 45:22 also, wish that family would have found Rogest

Tony Todd or Lance Henrickson would be good hosts for the show
Oh, he would be good!!!!!
Yes maybe then he can explain the Natalie Wood case finally after all these years...
they are rebooting the show for Netflix -- but it is 1 case per episode
The entire reason I liked this show was the variety.
I experienced "lost time" from age 15-17 on Fridays and Saturdays. Always missed curfew.
"This time Charlie thought he had finally found happiness. He was wrong!" Damn 🤣
I always wonder how many times he just said what was on his mind instead of the scripted parts. Bob Stack was amazing!
My fav show sense forever thank you so much FilmRise
Robert Stack has the best voice for this.
Robert Stack was always so elegant and classy in these episodes of Unsolved Mysteries…….his hair was so well done and always in place; and he was great

When I was a kid watching UM when it first aired, I was only ever really interested in the ghost, UFO and supernatural segments. Now I'm the complete opposite. Those segments are fine, but I'm usually sitting here like,
Person in the show: "I know it was a [ghost/UFO/magic rock/etc]."
Me (skeptical): "No, it probably wasn't. The truth is out there, but it's often rather mundane."
Instead, I'm very curious now to learn more about the real-life (Wanted/Missing...) cases and whether the people involved were found in the last 30 years.
Always keep an open mind, nothing is impossible
I remember when I was a kid talking to my mum about what are the scariest films. I said it was ghost films.
Mum pointed out how many times do you hear about a ghost killing someone.
Since then I just can't watch ghost films and take them serious, and then I began my love of 60s-70's horror.
Not really relevant, it's just a nice memory with my mum 😊
I wonder if Bob Matthews was actually abused by a relative, but created the alien story subconsciously as a way to protect himself from the truth since he would have been very traumatized
Hum...i think we can memories can be created by repeative dreams or impressions
Erica Davis Could be a sad possibility...
That poor guy seems like he was having some kind of medical issue. Maybe a stroke.
Erica Davis Sad Reality is that Rogest probably ended up in the county morgue a short time later as a John Doe and then buried in an unmarked pauper’s grave.
I agree. The way he was never able to be located makes me think the same thing.
The Soldier’s voice is AWESOME.
So sad they never found that old man, he most likely passed away without ever seeing his children again.....so sad
the first thing that came to my mind about Rogest Cain was the security guard. I realize that he likely had a job to do but couldnt the security guard have chosen to stay with him until help arrived? Maybe there is soemthing I am unaware. But it seems strange he would just walk up and disappear not once, but twice both close to home and halfway across the country.
Maybe the security guard left after he knew somebody was on the way to pick him up
I experienced missing time one night some time ago.. orange ball of light..
It's strange how the greys are so ANAL retentive
8:42 yes.
Ann Sigiman is possibly deceased due to the passage of time. She seemed to Unclever to be able to hide out this long.

So glad to see UM back on You Tube. My only gripe , and it is very minor, is the beginning announcer, the whole what you are about to see ..., isn't the original guy. I recall him having a pretty ominous voice that added to the whole vibe.
this guy sounds nervous somehow.
